Cala Anguila

Although the view and proximately to the breathtaking waters of Cala Anguila beach are unsurpassed, the pool cleanliness, the degree of luxury in provided linens, towels and staples like ample toilet paper, hand soap, and clothes washing detergent, were somewhat less than what we have previously experienced in this type of a luxury rental. The pool was not clean upon our occupancy and occurred only the following day in the late afternoon and was never actually clean with black algae continuing to grow on the steps and at the substantial overflow even immediately after it was attempted to be cleaned. The beds were moderately comfortable at best, the linens were basic and the towels were insufficient in quantity and quality in our opinion in light of the cost of the daily August rental (high season). We chose not to complain to the always available manager since he was always available and accommodating because the views of this property and location to the beach are sensational. All in all we had a wonderful stay but with a bit more primping to this lovely location in the way of what is expected in a luxury rental, plus doing the required work on the pool, it could be 5 star.
