For our 10 year anniversary my husband and I decided to take the train trip from Kansas City MO to Seattle that we had talked about for years. I had looked at at least a dozen places to stay in the Ballard/Fremont. I just kept coming back to the listing for the Banana Cabana. The listing does not begin to do this cozy little cabin justice. The character in the cabin and the garden is what drew me in, but when we actually checked in after 3 days of travel, the little things like the comfy king size bed, the relaxing records, the relaxing lighting and the heated floors were the best start to our stay in Seattle. Our stay just got better when on the second day of our stay we enjoyed dinner in the garden after a full day of sight seeing. Our third day was our anniversary, and after we had dinner out, we enjoyed drinks in the garden with the amazing fountain going. The soaker tub was most certainly another perfect highlight to our stay. It was so great to relax our aching legs from all our sight seeing walking. I could go on and on with this review but all in all it was the amazing attention to the little details everywhere that just made the stay perfect. It was definitely one of the best rentals ever. It is clear that Alice and her husband have put great thought and care into this place. It was also perfectly located to everything. We would definitely stay again if we ever go back. Thank you so much for sharing this space!

Great destination in West Woodland. Convenient walk to grocery store in Fremont. Bus stops, around the corner, took us to all destinations near and far. Also a strong Lyft presence. The VRBO unit was beautiful appointed and offered a retreat-like experience. We also used the backyard sitting areas for r and r. The owner promptly answered all inquiries before and during our stay. No noise it was a quiet experience. I would welcome a return opportunity to stay here. Thank you, Alice.

Comfortable king-sized bed, adjacent sitting room, cool decor, kitchen (which we didn't use). This was a perfect home base when we were in Seattle. Seattle streets are often unnervingly narrow, so we parked a few blocks away after we dropped off our suitcases. Good communication from hosts.

The pictures could never fully capture how great this place is. Perfect spot for two! My wife Whitney and I had a dazzling time! Alice was quick and communicative with any questions we had. We thoroughly appreciated the helpful hints placards throughout the Cabana! We put them to full use. Only thing I wish was more visible was the parking situation. Other than that, perfect stay!

We were very comfortable there even though it was one of Seattle’s hottest days. Convenient to the sights. Parking was a bit tight at the curbside for our big car but worked out fine. We even got to borrow a stick of butter! Thanks for a great stay

The Cabana is a deliberately curated step into the tropics. Truly delightful. Owing to the cold PNW winters, the heated floors were a real treat! We will definitely bookmark this property for the next time we find ourselves in Seattle. Easy street parking but a great location - close to all the things.

Tucked behind the main house is a well designed cabana. Quiet, clean, private with a well outfitted kitchen and windows looking out towards a charming garden. Hosts are responsive and helpful. Great place to stay while visiting family. We will come again.

My husband and I had a fun time exploring Seattle with Bananna Cabana as our home base. The cottage was perfect for us! The cottage was clean and comfortable with heated floors and a well stocked kitchen. The bed and soaking tub were great for rest and relaxation. The location was great to explore Seattle woth walking distance options for great local food and breweries. We would book this lovely cottage again. The hosts were wonderful to accommodate our needs.

While I anticipated a unique stay in the Banana Cabana, my expectations were greatly exceeded by the fabulous tropical/safari feel, filled with plants and intriguing decor! Comfortable; fully stocked for cooking and entertainment; with clear instructions for everything. The soaking tub and rainshower are generous. The location is convenient for anything you'd want to do in Fremont/Ballard. Alice was very responsive about any questions I had. I hope to be able to stay in the Cabana when my travels next take me to Seattle!

Very unique cottage with lots of charm. Comfortable, cozy, good use of space. Great little corner bath tub with plenty of room as well as rain shower head. Amazingly comfortable bed. Good location, 1/2 mile to Trader Joe’s and grocery, coffee, restaurants.

This place is a little gem! Plenty of space for my husband and I. Walking distance to the Fremont Brewing district. A perfect place to crash after wedding festivities. The soaking tub was amazing and a great way to relax after a long day. We don’t use the kitchen much, but it seemed well stocked. Heated floors were a special treat.

The Banana Cabana was one of the best places we have ever stayed! I wish we had more time in the area. We brought our newborn and there was a perfect amount of space for a pack n play next to the bed. The bath and heated floors were amazing, and the host provided snacks and wine. The cabana is 10 minutes walking from local breweries and 30 minutes walk from Ballard. There's also a very clean and quick bus to and from the main square.

This guest house truly has everything! The host has gone above and beyond to make sure everything is well stocked, well appointed, and cozy. We loved having our morning coffee in the sitting area with records playing. We will definitely be coming back here if we are ever in the area again!

The pictures could never fully capture how great this place is. Perfect spot for two! My wife Whitney and I had a dazzling time! Alice was quick and communicative with any questions we had. We thoroughly appreciated the helpful hints placards throughout the Cabana! We put them to full use. Only thing I wish was more visible was the parking situation. Other than that, perfect stay!

We absolutely loved our stay. The Banana Cabana is a funky, cozy and fun place. Alice was easy to communicate with, very sweet and thoughtful. She had wonderful Washington snacks and drinks ready for us. Would love to come to this sweet retreat.

Repeat customers of the Banana Cabana - we love the place, the location great, the owners are awesome & responsive, and we can easily walk to a lot of the breweries/eateries in the Ballard area. Thanks!!! Will always look for this place to stay when we are in town.

While I anticipated a unique stay in the Banana Cabana, my expectations were greatly exceeded by the fabulous tropical/safari feel, filled with plants and intriguing decor! Comfortable; fully stocked for cooking and entertainment; with clear instructions for everything. The soaking tub and rainshower are generous. The location is convenient for anything you'd want to do in Fremont/Ballard. Alice was very responsive about any questions I had. I hope to be able to stay in the Cabana when my travels next take me to Seattle!

Very unique cottage with lots of charm. Comfortable, cozy, good use of space. Great little corner bath tub with plenty of room as well as rain shower head. Amazingly comfortable bed. Good location, 1/2 mile to Trader Joe’s and grocery, coffee, restaurants.

This place is a little gem! Plenty of space for my husband and I. Walking distance to the Fremont Brewing district. A perfect place to crash after wedding festivities. The soaking tub was amazing and a great way to relax after a long day. We don’t use the kitchen much, but it seemed well stocked. Heated floors were a special treat.

My husband and I had a fun time exploring Seattle with Bananna Cabana as our home base. The cottage was perfect for us! The cottage was clean and comfortable with heated floors and a well stocked kitchen. The bed and soaking tub were great for rest and relaxation. The location was great to explore Seattle woth walking distance options for great local food and breweries. We would book this lovely cottage again. The hosts were wonderful to accommodate our needs.

The Banana Cabana was one of the best places we have ever stayed! I wish we had more time in the area. We brought our newborn and there was a perfect amount of space for a pack n play next to the bed. The bath and heated floors were amazing, and the host provided snacks and wine. The cabana is 10 minutes walking from local breweries and 30 minutes walk from Ballard. There's also a very clean and quick bus to and from the main square.

We had such an amazing time at the Cozy Banana Cabana. I absolutely loved the soaking tub — I think I spent most of my time relaxing in that amazing tub. The heated floors were definitely a bonus to wake up to in the mornings. Alice and her family were incredible; their hospitality went above and beyond. The secluded garden was so calm and peaceful, the perfect place to unwind after long days of sightseeing in Seattle. It was exactly what we needed before heading off on our Alaska adventure. Highly recommed!!
