Villa Sa Caleta

I stayed here with the extended family. Our favorite part of the house was the terrace/living room overlooking the bay, lovely views. Bedrooms had good AC, nice bathrooms. Dishwasher was new and working, kitchen/fridge is a bit small for 12, but there are plenty of restaurants/ grocery stores nearby. We are a bit concerned about a single parking spot, but parking was a not a problem. Few things bring it down to 4 stars: 1) beach water quality varied with the wind direction, more than half the time water was murky, and there was floating stuff. Adults mostly avoided the beach, kids did not care. But there were plenty of great beaches within 10m drive. 2) TV: there are supposedly 10 german channels you can watch. But there are 1000 satellite channels, and as an American I could not tell which ones are available, so we missed the final. 3) Outdoor lighting is on a timer, and the only way to turn it off is by unscrewing the bulbs (hosts' suggestion).

Great location facilities and accommodation (number of beds and bathrooms). Lots of outdoor seating space Decor is a bit 'tired'. Very close to supermarket, beach bar and walking distance of the marina and importantly for us the tennis club. Taxis easy to get.

Perfect location. Cleaning not perfect. Electricity did not work but was fixed after 2 visits by an electrician on first day. Thousands of ants in one bedroom, fixed by manager same day. Circulation in pool stopped but fixed same day. The property was not in perfect condition but the very nice location outweighed this.

Fantastic location. Easy access to beach. Lots of space for 12 people. Personally I wouldn’t recommend for small children. I Would definitely stay here again. Plenty of towels for the beach & shower.

Die Traumhafte Lage lässt über so einiges hinwegsehen. Wir waren uns einig, am liebsten hätten wir das Haus sofort gekauft. Dann hätten wir gleich auch die nötigen Arbeiten durchführen können. Und zu den komme ich jetzt. Die Küche ist für 14 Personen bei weitem nicht ausgelegt. Der Herd braucht über eine Stunde um Nudelwasser zum Kochen zu bringen. Vom Anbraten von Fleisch oder anderem ganz zu schweigen. Die Spülmaschine spült nur kalt, scheinbar ist die Heizung defekt. Besteck und Teller sind ein Sammelsurium an ausrangierten Teilen, von nichts gibt es 14 gleiche Teile. Am großen Tisch auf der traumhaften Terrasse mit traumhaftem Blick auf's Meer, haben leider nur 10 Personen Platz. Wir mussten uns mit einem alten runden Holztisch behelfen, und Stühle aus der Küche dazu nehmen. Die meisten Schiebetüren muss man fast zu zweit bedienen. Das Wasser aus dem Hahn ist sehr salzig, was entweder überall auf Mallorca so ist, oder vielleicht an einer defekten Entkalkungsanlage lag. Aber das alles und noch ein paar Kleinigkeiten bringen mich doch zu keiner Abwertung. Denn es war ein wirklich sehr schöner Urlaub, und wie das bei Immobilien so ist, am wichtigsten ist immer... die Lage die Lage die Lage... 😊 Ein paar andere positive Dinge möchte ich trotzdem noch los werden. Es war alles sehr sauber, soweit möglich. (In der Küche ist alles so verranzt, da nützt es auch nichts wenn alles sauber ist) Die Klimaanlage funktioniert sehr gut und ist sehr leise. Der Pool ist super. Es gibt viele Liegen. Zum Strand kann man unter dem Garten entweder über einen Fußweg (etwas länger) oder über 2 - 3 Meter Felsen klettern. (dann sind es vom Garten aus nur 10 Meter) Und der Strand ist auch echt super. Ich würde wieder in das Haus gehen, aber mit der Hoffnung, dass mal jemand ein paar Euro für eine neue Küche investiert hat. Die hat's echt nötig. Und der Preis für die Villa ist ja nicht ohne, da könnte man das schon erwarten.
