This property was wonderful. The kids and adults thoroughly enjoyed the pool and game room.

Our group thoroughly enjoyed this property. There's so many activities on-site in the home, between the game room and the pool. We loved staying in the tiny home too. It was the perfect set-up. The layout of the property is perfect with the bedrooms seperate from living and game areas. The host was absolutely wonderful, and was so kind and helpful when someone in our group accidentally left a ring behind. Her communication was some of the best I'e had through all of my VRBO experiences, with extremely prompt response times. We absolutely would love to book this property again in the future. Thank you!

We all enjoyed our stay at The Red Hen. The location was great. The game room had something for everyone. The pool was a hit, and the mature trees provided lots of shade. We would definitely recommend this to others.

My husband and drove down to meet our friends from college who flew in from NC for the weekend. We wanted a house with a pool in the Ft Worth area and this fit the bill. House was way too big for 4 people but that’s ok. We had plenty of space and loved the pool each evening. We played lots of darts (for us wives it was our first time). The neighborhood was very quiet and convenient. Kitchen and grill were great. Couch was comfy. Can’t complaint about anything. We were able to check in early w a nominal fee and we were thankful for that. Overall, 5 stars from us.

House was great for our weekend in Ft Worth/Arlington. The house is clean and we had zero issues while there. Host is prompt to answer questions during stay. We were a group of 4 adults and had loads of room to relax. Pool was fantastic in the TX summer heat!

Don’t ask too many questions, host will assume you’re having a party. We only used it once but was charged for ping pong net that was already worn out/damaged. Did not abuse or use negligence on the ping ping net so we should not be held responsible to replace the net used daily by prior guests. I guess homeowners found a loophole to use damage protection to pay for others' wear and tear. Took the host an hour or so to respond to any inquiries. During our stay a guy came and mowed the lawn and some of its debris went into pool. Wish host would’ve communicated that in advance. There's a Vacuum in pool at all times which was a nuisance and it didn’t seem safe for kids. Other then that its clean and furnished.

The house was much bigger than we expected! Very clean and close to everything we wanted to do. We had a lot of fun swimming and with the game room. The owners were very quick at responding when we contacted them. We would definitely stay there again!

I truly wish I could attach the photo's that were taken at this property so that everyone could see exactly what I am speaking of. I additionally wish I could attach my conversation with the host, as there was absolutely zero rectifying the problem, not even the return of cleaning fees. this house was filthy and the explanation by the host was, "We are due for a spring cleaning". Well, when you have guests checking in, I would hope that you would be offering the best experience for them and have the home clean and ready for guests. The amount of dust, cobwebs, and dead bugs were in and on every corner of the home were endless. Light fixtures had dead bugs in them and it was very obvious that all had been there for an extended period of time... I would guess since the last "spring cleaning". Had we not had a group, it being TCU graduation weekend and very few options available, and already paid nearly 2,000 for this stay, we would have found another place to stay. Every time we came back to the home a few of us would become very congested and start coughing. It would cease again when we left. The last night of our stay everyone had gone home except me. My daughter came and stayed. Within a couple of hours of being there she started complaining of a sore throat. I decided to go and check the air filters and what we found was very alarming. I am out of characters and cannot finish my review. All was filthy. Feel free to message me for pictures.

Nice house located within 15 mins of most major attractions of the area. House was older but very clean, well maintained, and fully stocked with supplies for our week stay. Wife fell in love with the house! Would definitly stay again.

Red hen was 15 minutes from wedding and reception. The house was very clean and peaceful.Due to the early season there were some leaves around the patio, but this was a non issue for us. The master suite was awesome. This is an older home in a safe neighborhood close to anything you should need. The host was very responsive. We also had the tiny house and it was perfect for our extra guest

Was ok. Had concerns about safety since the same code is used and the back gate that goes to the backyard was open. Smelled a bit musty when we walked in. Gameroom was fun. Pool was closed as expected and did have a pool cover. We did use the grill and that came in super handy.

Great stay from walking in the door to saying goodbye. Clean house lots of included accommodations, great location lots of space with a wonderful pool. Super quite neighborhood couldn’t ask for a better stay.

The home is mature and has the creaks and smells you'd associate with her old bones. We ran a natural diffuser to chase away the mustiness. She's charming with quaint throwbacks to her bygone era (the no longer functional but present fire place baking oven in the kitchen is amazing.) We chose the space for what it offered the teens and the bed space. The games, darts, and ping pong did not disappoint. Julie was very responsive to messages and the last minute add of the tiny house proved simple and easy. The master photos do not do the room justice as we had more than enough space to hang my bridal gown for steaming! The room is huge! If you are looking for space and want to ensure the kids have something to do while the adults do adulting this is a great space.

excellent spot for larger group

Once a year we try to get all of our friends from the marine corps together and this year was Texas. It was a very easy check in and check out and the house was absolutely perfect to get everyone together while having plenty of rooms and space. The extra game room was so fun and the back yard was such a nice treat in this heat. Would definitely stay again when we end up back in Texas.

This house was the perfect size for our group (6 adults/3 kids)! Everything was clean and the host responded promptly when messaged. Only complaint would be that dining room table isn’t big enough to fit more than 6 people so if you have more people than that, you can’t all eat together.

The house and pool were nice but the master bedroom was HOT! We enjoyed the game room! First time I’ve ever been asked to pay an extra fee for checking in early once the house was available.

This was a really great place for our family vacation . My literal only possible complaint would be the master bedroom bed is a little stiff , but that might be my being used to a memory foam vs a traditional spring mattress . The house is huge so you're not stepping all over each other

Amazing place my twins sons love the game room. I had peace for a couple of ours while I cooked. Had 1 problem the tv in the main bedroom wouldn’t work. It was cool anyway we spent most of our time in the living room and the game room. Thank you for allowing my family stay. I also left a lot of ice cream that my daughter had me by. Blue bell.

Nice neighborhood, older, established, the home is older, needs a bit more updating and has great potential to becoming a 5 star with a few tweaks. Nice size, great yard that just needs some TLC, outdoor furniture is in need of improvement. There are plenty of beds, fun gathering spot for family and friends. Furniture is lacking and not enough lighting, seating arrangement is awkward for a larger group. Updating would make it great!

We chose this house because it was within 30 minutes to Six Flags and for the pool. Our kids loved the pool and the game room. We had a great stay.

Easily held our family of six; everything in the home was as advertised. Our kids loved the pool and game room! Home had everything that we needed for our stay. Quiet neighborhood with easy access to stores, restaurants, gas stations, etc. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the DFW area; we would definitely like to return in the future!
