Le Belvédère à Mentone - cabane en rondins avec bain à remous et vues incroyables !

We came to Mentone for our 38th anniversary. This was the absolute best trip we have ever taken. The cabin was wonderful and well equipped. It had everything we needed. The back porch was close to Heaven. We truly enjoyed the sunset view from the hot tub and the bed swing. We only went out to eat one evening and then we wished we would have stayed at the cabin. To top it all off this cabin is pet friendly and our fur baby loved it just as much as we did. Can’t wait to come back and enjoy the peace and tranquility very soon.

Highly recommend. Yes, it has the view you are hoping for and it’s absolutely amazing! Back deck is perfectly set up to enjoy the view and has the bonus of being fully enclosed allowing our dog to be unleashed. Deck has a dining table, charcoal grill, big porch swing, adirondack chairs and a hot tub. The cabin feels isolated. You don’t see or hear any other cabins. There are a couple cabins down the street but blocked by trees so you have total privacy. Close to the road but there is almost no traffic since the cabin is about 5 miles outside town in the opposite direction of the state park. Inside is nice and comfortable with all the modern amenities in good working order. Perfect couples retreat. We will be back.

We chose this spot for the views and distance from neighbors. Couldn’t be more happy with our stay! The view alone was amazing but add in the porch swing, hot tub, and wind rustling through the trees and it was the perfect getaway.

We arrived for a long weekend getaway to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. We usually stay at Just Bluffin' (another cabin nearby) but it was not available, but fortunately for us, the Lookout was! The old cabin on the mountain's edge certainly deserves the name, The Lookout. We spent over an hour one afternoon looking out over the valley as the rain clouds rolled down the far hillside before finally reaching us. We then moved to the spacious front porch where we sat in the rocking chairs and listened to the raindrops on the metal roof. The large rear deck allowed us to grill, dine out, relax in the swing bed, lounge in the deck chairs, and spend time in the hot tub with room to spare. Of course, the views are fantastic; morning, noon, or night with sundowns being especially colorful. Perhaps the best feature is the loft bedroom and the King-sized bed when the day is through. Modern conveniences with rustic charm. We will most definitely be back.

We only booked for two nights and regretted that immediately once we arrived. Staying 3-4 nights would have been much better!! The view is what grabs you as you get out of the car and will captivate you the entire time you are there. The Christmas tree was a nice touch as well as the record player and other carefully chosen and artfully placed accoutrements. It was super cold in Mentone during our stay and the gas logs were just perfect as we lounged on the comfortable sofa. Hot tub was clean and functioned wonderfully. One thing we really loved is the back half of the porch is fully enclosed so your fur baby can roam around in carefree canine bliss. We enjoyed lunch in the oversized chairs on the back porch that looked out over the valley. Kitchen is fortified with all dishes and silverware and everything was in working order. I never leave reviews. I felt compelled to write this one because of the unique feel this place has. I just randomly chose this rental on a whim. After our stay had come and gone, I searched for the same experience elsewhere in the southeast. I can't find it. There isn't a cabin with the same close-set coziness. It's hard to explain....the cabin is small...don't get me wrong, but it just feels right. Like there's good energy there. Everything has its place and everything just fits together and is arranged nicely. Other places I've looked, the rental is either too big and vacuous or has no warmth and personality. Nothing I can find has this type of feel, coupled with the view and energy this little place on the ridge has. You won't be disappointed.

Fireplace is really nice and warms room. Had trouble with pilot going out and someone came very quickly and got it started. TV works well. Nicely furnished and some good books. King Bed and couches/chairs are comfortable. HVAC works. Kitchen stuff (stove, microwave, coffee maker) all work. 11 AM check out is nice. Good instructions, directions (exterior locks, TV, fireplace, WiFi, etc.) came a day before check in and made it easy. We would definitely stay again. A very nice place.

Pictures can't really do the view and the property justice. It's really an incredible scene as you pull up, with a wrap around deck well appointed to enjoy it. The cabin is a great mix of modern where it makes sense (kitchen, bathroom, appliances) and rustic everywhere else - it's super charming while still being functional and practical. Another factor that is hard to get across in the photos is that it's very private! There are other rentals a couple hundred yards down the road, but you can't see or hear anyone else so it's quite peaceful. The hot tub was great (and hot on arrival), there were plenty of towels, kitchen supplies, and even sugar and cream for coffee. Very well appointed for this type of cabin rental, in my experience. Communication and check-in/out were all great, no friction no issues at all. The market and other shops in Mentone are barely a 5 minute drive down the ridge, and some really great trailheads are within about a 10 minute drive as well. This was our first time in Mentone, and it's hard to imagine a better first experience.

We enjoyed our stay at the comfy and cozy Lookout Cabin. The cabin has everything you would need for a pleasant stay. The furniture and bed are comfortable, the hot tub is huge, the view is impressive and the old cabin in the woods feel of the place made the whole stay even better. It was our most relaxing vacation ever.

This was our third time to visit and as always, complete serenity. We come here to get away and relax and this place delivers every single time. We leave feeling so calm and rested and look forward to our next visit. The view is amazing, especially the sunsets. The house is so clean and well supplied. This place is a gem.

This was our second time here and we loved this visit as much as the first. The view from the back porch is absolutely amazing. The house is very clean and so quaint and charming. We love this place and will continue to use it as a total escape from all the hustle and bustle in our every day lives.

This place is so clean and quaint! We were afraid since it was pet friendly that it might smell or have traces of a dog, but that was not the case! We had no idea any pets had been there at all! We were also glad that there were no other homes near this one. There were trees on each side- very secluded, however the main road is just a few feet away from the house. This did not pose a problem as there wasn't much traffic anyway. The pictures show exactly how everything is inside and out! We didn't get to enjoy the fire pit- it rained the whole time, but that only made the view more picturesque with the clouds rolling through the valley. The bed is pretty firm, but it was comfortable and there are plenty of really nice pillows. The bathroom is downstairs and the shower is a small stand-up. The house is just about 8 minutes from downtown Mentone and about 30 minutes away from DeSoto park and Little River waterfalls. You will LOVE staying in this location! We hope to go back during the fall next time to really enjoy the colors in the valley.

I am so picky when it comes to staying places— when I arrive it has to be very clean or I will leave. This cabin was immaculate! It is so cozy and had so much privacy, but we loved knowing their were other cabins not far from us. The view is even better than the pictures, and we loved the outdoor swing that was the size of a bed! We spent so much time out there. The hot tub was clean and a great way to spend our evenings. We will definitely be back!

If you’re looking for an escape that offers breathtaking views, close vicinity to local attractions, quiet and relaxation, along with little touches like extra towels (for hot tub), cream & sweeteners, and fire roasting sticks for those smores you’re sure to crave, this is the getaway for you! Clean, comfy, and enjoyable. That’s all you need, right!? The rest of the adventure is up to you! Just book it.

This was a beautiful stay. It was a bit drafty but sometimes you can't help that, especially with how old the cabin is. Just bring warm clothes if its going to be cold and windy. I can suffer a bit of cold for that view though. Beautiful!

There are neighbors, but they aren't very close and we couldn't see them, only could faintly hear them. It's far enough away from town where you feel alone with nature. The area is really nice and quiet.

The outdoor area is wonderful. There was a cool mountain breeze during our June visit, so we stayed outside alot. Cabin was small, but functional. Kitchen was well equipped. . Napping swing was 👍🏻! Enjoyed the record player and book selection. Cabin is private with no other properties having a view of the deck area.

This was our fourth stay at The Lookout and it was just as amazing as the first. The view is remarkable. The cabin is adorable. It is the perfect place to unwind and get away for the weekend. We will be back.

Everything was as suspected. Only thing is that the loft bedroom you need to be careful because the ceiling is low and on the right side of the bed you can hit your head on the beams lol. And to turn on the shower you pull the knob and turn it to cold because it’s opposite but the hot water stays on forever it never ran cold. And it stayed very warm the whole time we got there and it was already dark but they left some of the light on around and inside the house so it wouldn’t be pitch black. I throughly enjoyed it and would definitely book it again.

Cozy and quaint! Perfect for two. The cabin is decorated so woodsy. The unique logs and renovation is very unique. The king bed was comfortable. A big plus for us. We loved the hot tub and the AWESOME VIEW! The town of Mentone is small so not a lot of restaurants to go to, but Fort Paine is about 20 miles. We cooked / grilled our meals at cabin. We went to DeSoto Falls/ Beautiful. Then we drove the loop around Little River Canyon and stopped at all the stops. So glad we did absolutely unreal!! Then we took a day and went to Noccolula falls, hiked around and down behind the falls. Quite a good hike but worth it. Just enjoyed seeing all the beauty at these places so close to home. Perfect all around.

We had the BEST time visiting Mentone and The Lookout at Mentone was the PERFECT cabin. We had everything we needed and we were very comfortable. Holly was only a text away and answered all of our questions quickly. Will definitely be back!

One of the most beautiful peaceful locations I’ve been able to spend time in. The owner 100% flexible super nice. Extremely relaxing had all the necessities that you needed. Amazing View! Definitely a special place that I would like to come back to hopefully very soon. Thank you so very much for everything.

The first thing you notice, when walking into the cabin, is the view. The second thing you noticed is how efficient the space has been set up for guests. The third, and final thing, is the king size bed! There is very limited traffic on the road outside the cabin, making the hot tub a relaxing destination in the evening. Be sure to bring ALL of your sundries, as there are limited grocery options prior to arriving at the site. Since we are season travelers, we were prepared, but for a novice, make your grocery list and bring everything. We will definitely return, and recommend it for a future relaxation destination. PS the customer service and communication from the host agency was excellent!

Fairly secluded and private without being too far from anything. Very nice and comfortable rustic cabin. Perfect for romantic getaway. Awesome view.

I needed a break and this place was the most peaceful place with breathtaking views! Everything was perfect! The area is very peaceful. No scary mountain roads getting to the place. The cabin was amazing! The only thing is that if you want to dine out you need to ensure reservations. I will definitely be back!

We loved our stay at the lookout!!. It was cozy and comfortable and peaceful. We especially loved the hot tub and the porch. Perfect place for two. Views were spectacular! The food at the Hatter Café and wildflower Café were delicious. Had a great hike at Little River Canyon and Falls. Definitely would come back!!😊😊😊

We were blessed with four nights staying at this wonderful log cabin retreat perched on a bluff with the most gorgeous view. Just soaking up the view made me heave a deep relaxing sigh! My husband and I are working independent musicians and getting the chance to have some days off was so needed and a real treat. We mostly self-catered but did treat ourselves to a meal at one of the many fantastic restaurants in the area, we went for walks, and visited the lovely gift shops in downtown Mentone that are just minutes away. I highly recommend The Look Out at Mentone. The hot tub just iced the cake! We really relaxed and slept better than we had in ages! I hope to be able to visit and stay here again.

I needed a break and this place was the most peaceful place with breathtaking views! Everything was perfect! The area is very peaceful. No scary mountain roads getting to the place. The cabin was amazing! The only thing is that if you want to dine out you need to ensure reservations. I will definitely be back!
