Cabin was very nice with just about everything you need for a short stay. Unfortunately the dishwasher wasn’t functional (the property manager had notified us about that beforehand) and for some reason the icemaker also stopped making ice but there was some bagged ice in the freezer. There was some water damage on the back porch around the fireplace that we told the property manager about We would stay there again.

Great cabin in the woods, yet close to everything! Extremely clean and well-stocked. Screened back porch was perfect for early morning coffee and late afternoon cocktails. Small issue getting connected to internet, but property manager very quick to respond and issue resolved quickly. Highly recommend this property!

The cabin was super clean upon arrival including the screened in porch. It had everything we needed to cook dinner all three nights (pots, pans, large utensils). The lot it sits on is beautiful and quiet, but not far from some of the local shopping or restaurants. We will definitely be coming back here again!

Rained non-stop all night and day but we spent our time on the porch next to the fireplace and it was perfect. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Location was close to town and all the activities we had on our to-do list. One of our favorite cabins and will definitely be back.

Beautiful cabin in a quiet neighborhood of this cute little town. It was easy to get around to places like Cloudland Canyon, DeSoto state park, Little River Canyon, etc. The cabin was comfy and worked well for us with the 2 1/2 baths. The beds were comfortable. I slept well every night of our stay. We especially loved using the fireplace on the screened in back porch. Be aware that the Mentone restaurants are generally open on the weekends. But you can always take a short drive to Ft Payne or other nearby towns for evening meals. You can also count on the Mentone Market for ready made sandwiches, salads, and fresh made pizza. It was a relaxing stay in a beautiful area.

Arrived on th 10 November. We didn't have hot water for 5 days the owner and property manager were very cooperated about the issue but we still couldn't get baths or showers for 5 days. They finally got.us hot water on 14 of November.

The dwelling was located in the perfect spot for Mentone stay, but could use some TLC. Back porch screen door was busted completely through which provided no security from woodsy critters. Removed frying pan from underneath cabinet to find it had food crusted and stuck in pan…disgusting! Back porch hammock cloth was mildewed. Downstairs bedroom toilet leaks water into bowl continuously which was annoying trying to sleep. Ceiling fan blades were dusty. Upstairs bathroom mirror frame was broken. The house has a wonderful modern rustic interior and floor plan, just needs some attention. A little TLC “maintenance and cleanliness” would’ve made this Mentone cabin a much better stay.

Very clean & well-furnished. Loved the sweet puppy visits in the morning. We used the fire pit every day- great chairs and fire pit tools. Loved the location and enjoyed the area a lot. Will definitely return.

We loved our time in Mentone. The cabin is wonderful! It's very clean, beautifully decorated, well stocked and secluded. This was our first time visiting the area, but we would definitely come back and highly recommend this cabin.

The cabin was nice and as advertised. In reference to a few previous comments: - We didn't hear any generators near the property. It was quiet throughout our stay. - One neighbor did let his dog run loose through the neighborhood, including onto the cabin property. However, the dog was friendly and interacted well with us and our two dogs. Wasn't a problem for us. - Internet and ice maker worked fine. - The kitchen is stocked with all the utensils, etc. you would need. There is also a cabinet filled with assorted spices, salt/pepper, etc. Coffee filters are provided; coffee is not. - Toilet paper and garbage bags are provided. It would be nice if soap/body wash were provided, but it is not (as is disclosed). - There are conflicting messages about firewood. There is none provided for the indoor fireplace. There are some chopped logs in the yard which I presume are for the outdoor fireplace. - Plenty of extra blankets and pillows in the closets if you need it. - There were some sugar ants in the kitchen, which we let the property manager know about. It wasn't a problem for us, but we did let her know. Overall, we had a great stay.

Great location! Super clean, convenient and quiet. My mom & I rented Rest Easy 6 night and it was perfect for what we needed. We have family who live locally in the area, and this was our gathering place for dinner and visiting. Kitchen was perfect for our needs. Grill was a big plus. Large family room/dining room/kitchen combo and porch was perfect. We had 12 adults and two toddlers for several meals and there was plenty of room to spread out. We will be back!

Enjoyed our stay here. House is very clean and accommodating, as well as being situated on a large maintained lot. You will meet the neighbors dog "Early" and we personally enjoyed him. The only con to this VRBO is the mattresses. They are very firm and the springs pop in the upstairs bedroom.

...as if you were 'camping out' including TP, coffee & filters for the pot, and blankets. The home was clean enough. The beds are softer than we like. Unfortunately, neighborhood dogs barked non-stop during the day ~ and my only concern (as a DOG LOVER) was that they were NOT CHAINED UP on the property behind the home without water and food, etc. The neighbor's GENERATOR was extremely noisy and started up loudly every few hours all day and night. THE BACK PORCH with the fireplace was the best part of the home.

House and property is very Beautiful! Very peaceful place! Plenty of kitchen supplies to cook. Absolutely clean and Beautiful house!Cons not enough towels and wash cloths for 4 people. Had to wash towels every day. The Only reason I gave this property a 4 star was because of the mattresses They were horrible! We felt every spring in the mattresses. Even when you went to lay down the springs popped and made loud noises and when we layed down it felt like we were laying on the box springs not an actual mattress.

We arrived on a Monday afternoon and stayed through to Wednesday at 10am. The cabin is immaculately clean, has plenty of towels, and extras if you need. The bed was so comfortable, and had extras pillows in the closet if needed. It was the best experience for the family and I to get away before school begins. During the day, we went to Chattanooga, TN and is not a bad drive for the peace and quiet of a cabin. I have never stayed in one before, and this experience definitely did not disappoint. Just amazing.

Overall it was a great stay and we would go back for the price. Property is in a great location and was very comfortable for our family of 3 and our dog. Our phones had no service and internet was a major issue the whole trip. The 5G only worked 1 morning out of our entire 3 days there. The regular Internet either didn’t work or was so painfully slow you couldn’t do much on it. There were some minor maintenance issues we messaged the property manager about after we left (no service to communicate while we were there). They did not respond however, so hopefully they got the info. Overall is a great cabin for the price and being so close to downtown Mentone!

We had an absolutely amazing weekend, Even though the snow was trying to interfere with our plans! Both the property manager and owners were very communicative and helpful. This cabin is the perfect get away to just relax and reset. We can’t wait to come back!

We were very pleased with this property. We had a wonderful stay. The host and the owner were most helpful. I feel we will book this one again in the future. A 5 Star rating for sure.

Wonderful stay. We had an issue with the electronic lock but the manager responded instantly and it was taken care of. I wish it had not been the middle.of the summer as we would.have loved to have used one of the fire places!

A welcome basket of treats and beverage...even if it were only a bottle of Pellegrino would have conveyed a message of your appreciation to your guests for selecting the property. Very old, stale popcorn and various seasonings left in the kitchen cabinets, would not use. No salt or pepper. Providing bar soap in the bathrooms is an inexpensive convenience that would improve your guest's experience. Property Manager did not know that an older dog that frequently visited the property during our stay (sent her a picture) was the long-time next-door neighbors. The very long list of instructions/rules to be followed by guests made us feel the home belonged to Coach Nick Saban.

Great cabin in the woods, yet close to everything! Extremely clean and well-stocked. Screened back porch was perfect for early morning coffee and late afternoon cocktails. Small issue getting connected to internet, but property manager very quick to respond and issue resolved quickly. Highly recommend this property!

Host truly keeps the guests in mind- plentiful amenities available, to include ample firewood!!. Exceptional space with quality materials and all in working order. Quiet, peaceful location with fairly easy access to attractions and town. Fantastic communication with host and property mgr. impressed with easy access to home upon checkin, which we find uncommon when renting a property. Highly recommend! Thank you!!

Truly enjoyed our stay in this charming cabin. The craftsmanship and design are captivating. The screened porch and fireplace gave us great living space for board games and easy conversation in front of a beautiful fire. We were so comfortable that we played until 3:00 AM! Needed midnight coffee and cherry pie for that night! Of course morning coffee with a living room fire was an easy way to start the day. Kids joined us for a couple nights with their 6-week old daughter. They used the upstairs bedroom and the cubby room was perfect for all baby needs. Cabin is well stocked and very comfortable. We ordered a 1/2 truckload of wood for a week stay. It was there when we arrived. All appliances and utensils you might need are available. Our only negative was lack of cell service. However we were able to call using WIFI. Property manager is very welcoming and responsive to questions. The owner is also attentive and a wonderful host. A well appointed “get-away”! We are already planning another visit.

Overall it was a great stay and we would go back for the price. Property is in a great location and was very comfortable for our family of 3 and our dog. Our phones had no service and internet was a major issue the whole trip. The 5G only worked 1 morning out of our entire 3 days there. The regular Internet either didn’t work or was so painfully slow you couldn’t do much on it. There were some minor maintenance issues we messaged the property manager about after we left (no service to communicate while we were there). They did not respond however, so hopefully they got the info. Overall is a great cabin for the price and being so close to downtown Mentone!

Perfect location. Cabin was clean, well stocked, cozy, can not complain about one thing. Mentone was awesome. We were there for the longest yard sale. Google that, this cabin is close to it all. We loved the cabin and the town.

The property was the best furnished we have ever encountered, including a loaded bird feeder in the back yard, which gave us a good number of hours of enjoyment. A good base of operations from which to explore the nearby waterfalls and hiking opportunities.

The cabin was exactly what the website showed. Mentone, itself, closes restaurants and shops Monday-Thursday, so we had to drive to Fort Payne for dinner or shopping. We would have timed our trip differently if we had known.

I slept well every night of our stay. We especially loved using the fireplace on the screened in back porch. Be aware that the Mentone restaurants are generally open on the weekends. But you can always take a short drive to Ft Payne or other nearby towns for evening meals. You can also count on the Mentone Market for ready made sandwiches, salads, and fresh made pizza. It was a relaxing stay in a beautiful area.

Great location! Super clean, convenient and quiet. My mom & I rented Rest Easy 6 night and it was perfect for what we needed. We have family who live locally in the area, and this was our gathering place for dinner and visiting. Kitchen was perfect for our needs. Grill was a big plus. Large family room/dining room/kitchen combo and porch was perfect. We had 12 adults and two toddlers for several meals and there was plenty of room to spread out. We will be back!

This property was absolutely perfect! It's in a beautiful area with some great shops and food within walking distance. The cabin itself was very clean and the decor was great. It's also a pretty short drive from some wonderful hikes. I highly recommend staying there.

My favorite spot at the cabin was the back porch fireplace. I read my devotional material and novels there each day. Such a blessing to hear the sounds of God’s handiwork.Favorite restaurants were the Tiger Inn in Valley Head and The Hatters. Felt very safe and comfortable with only a short drive to main road.

This 2 bedroom cabin was just beautiful. All amenities were include . Location was a Short Drive to DeSoto State Park. Restaurants very close. as is Mentone Brow Park, a great place to see the sunset .

Although the foliage was not so good this year because of the drought, the stay was lovely. We enjoyed a fire in the fireplace every evening in the cozy family room. We loved having a big black cast iron skillet to fry fish in one night. The kitchen was well equipped and the house was clean and comfortable. We were able get to the Market in just minutes but we still had the feeling of being "out in the woods."

The cleanest cabin we have ever stayed in! Washing detergent/softener was provided! Hand soap and dishwashing liquid provided. Although it was too hot to utilize the fireplaces, a starter log and some wood was here. Attention to small details was awesome! Already planning a return in the fall!

We had a very relaxing, long wonderful weekend at this cabin. It’s in an awesome walking location with local access to shops and a great sidewalk for running! Mentone Market was a life saver and has incredible food, also the Farmers Market on Fridays is great to walk down to and check out! The owner was very accommodating and I really appreciated the approval when our pet sitter canceled and we had to bring along our pup last minute. This cabin is an excellent spot for a great little staycation with the family we will ABSOLUTELY be back again!

My wife and I stayed recently and loved the home and enjoyed our time there. It rained most of the week of our stay, so we spent a lot of time relaxing on the screened porch - more of an outdoor room complete with fireplace. The host was responsive and great to work with. Be aware that a new home is being built in close proximity to this one, and although no work was going on during our stay (perhaps because of the weather) I imagine that noise from the construction could be an issue in the short term - check with the host. We are already talking about going back for another stay in the fall!
