\"Ostrich Nest\" private island beachfront with HOT TUB and kayaks

This place was great!

Great spot. The ferry was easy. House was really nice. House is well stocked with cookware, games, bedding, etc. The beachfront was perfect. The whole setup lived up to the photos. We’ll definitely be back.

We have been to Herron island a few times but never stayed here. The house had everything we could need and we had a wonderful stay.

We were a little nervous about spending Thanksgiving with the grocery store a ferry ride away. However, the Ostrich Nest had everything we needed to cook a full meal (we did bring the roasting pan though)! The bed was roomy and comfy, the bathrooms had the necessities and great water pressure, the home was super clean and updated.Our doggos LOVED that the water was right outside the back door, and they were stoked about the treats and extra balls left for them. But.... the best part.... literally silent outside. Coming from a busy area, the calm was just what we needed. Eventhough I had to work just a bit (great wifi!!) this was the most relaxing getaway we've had in a long time. We hope to have the opportunity to come back soon.

Our 2nd annual trip, same weekend one year later, did not disappoint! Kayaking on glass like water, feeding local deer, enjoying the hot tub and walks around the island never get old! Loved our stay!
