Our home away from home! Owners Kevin and Lourdes created a cozy, welcoming and beautiful place to host PEI visitors! Our family of five absolutely loved staying here! Minutes from the national park and ocean, restaurants, Anne of Green Gables museum, and so many attractions, what a perfect spot! The cottage was very clean, comfortable and had plenty of space. The owners had dishes, appliances, blankets, dish soap, laundry detergent , etc all well stocked. Our boys loved playing in the backyard on the climber and swings. And we enjoyed the board games and puzzles in the evening. Kevin and Lourdes were easy to communicate with, and responded quickly. We recommend staying here!!! And hope to stay here again in the future!! Thank you Kevin & Lourdes!!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cottage! We had 4 adults and 5 children (under 10) and it fit us all perfectly. The cottage was stocked with literally everything you could need for comfort, cooking and even for beach days (chairs, toys, etc). It was clean and spacious both inside and out. The yard is fairly private and it's located off the main road, so it's pretty quiet. Traffic is just from the campground down the road. Close to everything - walkable to most attractions in Cavendish or a short 2 minute drive. Would 100% recommend for larger groups. Hope to visit again next year! Thank you, Kevin & Lourdes!

This was a great home base for a group of 4 adults exploring some of PEIs golf courses.Check-in was flawless. We were greeted by Kevin who gave us a brief, helpful orientation as well as a few goodies. . The property was very clean and well appointed. The kitchen and laundry facilities were very good

This home is perfect for 3 couples and a couple of kids. It is very well appointed, lots of very thoughtful decorating touches, and easy to cook in (great appliances and ample cookware). The outdoor space, with propane fireplace or wood fire pit are delightful! The host was most accommodating and everything about this property is nothing shy of 5 star! Highly recommended.

Kevin and Lourdes’s warm welcome and very special home made our PEI ski trip extra special. Such a lovely location! The interior is not only beautifully appointed, it’s well designed for very comfortable living. The exterior offers lots of space to sit, relax, and play. The beds and furniture were not only lovely to look at, they were very comfortable. Everything one could possible need was available. Thanks so much for making this such a memorable ski vacation!

Over 5 stars all around! The place is gorgeous- very clean and has everything you could need and more! (From the kitchen, outdoor games and swing set, beach toys and chairs/wagon, welcome bakery treats). Booking was very easy and excellent communication. Amazing location for family to stay and explore PEI. Would highly recommend and plan to come back again!

This has been the best place we've ever stayed at. Plenty of room, clean, comfortable beds, great location, well-stocked with just about anything you'd need for your stay! We didn't need to bring/buy anything extra. Hosts were very quick to answer any messages. Kevin came over the evening we arrived and showed us around and answered any questions we had. Highly recommend!! We hope you stay here again in the future!! Thank you 😊

Nine of us enjoyed this delightful cottage immensely. It was beautifully furnished, landscaped and provisioned and had every amenity we could have possibly wanted. The hosts were friendly and helpful and respected our privacy. We made many wonderful family memories in our one week vacation. The walls are still ringing with the sounds of teasing and laughter and conversation. Beds were comfy, plenty of towels and dishes and cookware and many spots to sit outside including a fire pit under string lighting. A magical spot. A unexpected delivery of fresh baking, a bouquet of flowers, a bottle of wine and a welcome sign greeted us. Many thanks to Kevin and Lourdes.

The location was lovely. Very close to Brackley Beach, New London, Rustico. Very private. Hosts live next door and were very helpful but only if we needed them. Their property was lovely. We enjoyed their outdoor sitting areas and the home was very well maintained. Lots of space to relax and enjoy one another's company. Highly recommend this property for adult getaway or families with children. Lots of amenities close by.

Kevin and Lourdes have thought of everything and provide guests with more than we have ever seen at a rental property. Their home is beautiful, clean and thoughtful details are found throughout the home. Good quality kitchen utensils, appliances, plenty of serving dishes, glasses, cutlery etc. We were all so relaxed the moment we walked in the door. Kevin and Lourdes have created a little haven here. We would highly recommend!!!

This cottage was perfect for our family get together. The cottage was immaculate, well decorated, and had plenty of room for 8 of us. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could possibly want or need. We highly recommend this property to anyone who wants a get away. The O'Leary's were available for anything we needed and gave us a tour of the place when we arrived, Wonderful people to rent from.. FIVE STARS ARE NOT ENOUGH FOR THIS PLACE!

This property was much more than we ever imagined it would be. It was by far the most clean and well stocked property that we've ever stayed in. The owners were thorough and generous and attentive and so very kind. We'll always cherish our time on PEI, and a large part of that is because of this home.

We loved our stay at Kevin & Lourdes rental home. It was extremely comfortable. The location is great in the middle of Cavendish, there was plenty of room for our family to spread out, and the hosts were super helpful with recommendations. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Our group consisted of 8 sisters and sister-in-laws. We gather annually and found this gem two years ago and just had to come back. The house had enough beds to accommodate us all comfortably. The kitchen was very well stocked and the baker in our group made biscuits and cinnamon rolls. The house was so well decorated and the open concept allowed us to enjoy each other's company. The hosts were so friendly and welcomed our first arrival right away. They also had a couple of bottles of wine for us as a welcome gift. Everything was amazing during our stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone. 10 STARS!!

My siblings and I brought my mom to PEI for her 70th bday. This house was magical. My mom especially loved the sun room area…she wanted to bring it home with her. These people have some incredible decorating skills and the house is so comfortable. Anytime we texted Kevin he was right there and so helpful. We loved our trip here! Thank you for all your attention to the little things!

Our stay at the Island Gales Cottage was perfect!! Kevin and Lourdes are exceptional, thoughtful hosts, and their generous hospitality and warm welcome were much appreciated. Kevin’s orientation to the property upon our arrival was very helpful. The cottage and surrounding property are beautiful and in a quiet, relaxing setting. All of the amenities are excellent, which can be attributed to Kevin and Lourdes attention to detail. They have thought of everything and more that will make a stay at their cottage extra special. As you can tell, our stay at the cottage was the best!! We definitely want to return some day. We highly recommend the Island Gales Cottage!!

What an incredible find! A great cottage for a getaway! Our group of women met at University (many years ago) and have been getting together annually for over 20 years. This is easily the nicest, best equipped cottage at which we have ever stayed. Kevin & Lourdes have thought of every thing one could possibly want or need & more. We were greeted with a lovely welcome basket of garden veges, a well stocked kitchen & pantry including coffee , tea, basic herbs, spices, etc. There were 7 very comfortable beds, plenty of towels, and extra blankets for cooler evenings & nights. Lots of comfortable seating, inside & out, perfect for chatting (& maybe a little wine). The only deficiency we could find…there was no rocking chair😉 😉!!!! This is a great place to stay….we will certainly consider more visits.

Lots of comfortable seating, inside & out, perfect for chatting (& maybe a little wine). The only deficiency we could find…there was no rocking chair😉 😉!!!! This is a great place to stay….we will certainly consider more visits.

This has been the best place we've ever stayed at. Plenty of room, clean, comfortable beds, great location, well-stocked with just about anything you'd need for your stay! We didn't need to bring/buy anything extra. Hosts were very quick to answer any messages. Kevin came over the evening we arrived and showed us around and answered any questions we had. This stay suited our family 8 of us stayed at the house and 3 visited. There is lots of room and privacy within the house. It was perfectly cleaned and set up .it was great to have so many basics there for us to use. Coffee was one thing supplied and it was a good coffee. Kevin and Lourdes are very friendly and helpful. We have stayed a number of places and we all agreed this rental has been the best.

Nine of us enjoyed this delightful cottage immensely. It was beautifully furnished, landscaped and provisioned and had every amenity we could have possibly wanted. The hosts were friendly and helpful and respected our privacy. We made many wonderful family memories in our one week vacation. The walls are still ringing with the sounds of teasing and laughter and conversation. Beds were comfy, plenty of towels and dishes and cookware and many spots to sit outside including a fire pit under string lighting. A magical spot. A unexpected delivery of fresh baking, a bouquet of flowers, a bottle of wine and a welcome sign greeted us. Many thanks to Kevin and Lourdes.

There were 7 of us stayed at this beautiful cottage in Cavendish to celebrate our 30th reunion and it couldn’t have been any better! The cottage had everything we needed and more including 2 beautiful sitting areas, comfortable beds, a fire pit, electric fireplace and was stocked with plenty of towels and amenities. Lourdes and Kevin are amazing landlords and were there to accommodate us whenever we needed anything. Our group consisted of 8 sisters and sister-in-laws. We gather annually and found this gem two years ago and just had to come back. The house had enough beds to accommodate us all comfortably. The kitchen was very well stocked and the baker in our group made biscuits and cinnamon rolls. The house was so well decorated and the open concept allowed us to enjoy each other's company. The hosts were so friendly and welcomed our first arrival right away. They also had a couple of bottles of wine for us as a welcome gift. Everything was amazing during our stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone. 10 STARS!!

Our home away from home! Owners Kevin and Lourdes created a cozy, welcoming and beautiful place to host PEI visitors! Our family of five absolutely loved staying here! Minutes from the national park and ocean, restaurants, Anne of Green Gables museum, and so many attractions, what a perfect spot! The cottage was very clean, comfortable and had plenty of space. The owners had dishes, appliances, blankets, dish soap, laundry detergent , etc all well stocked. Our boys loved playing in the backyard on the climber and swings. And we enjoyed the board games and puzzles in the evening. Kevin and Lourdes were easy to communicate with, and responded quickly. We recommend staying here!!! Highly recommend Island Gale! Kevin and Lourdes are very welcoming and friendly. Cottage is beautiful inside and out! Very well maintained and clean. This was a great home base for a group of 4 adults exploring some of PEIs golf courses.Check-in was flawless. We were greeted by Kevin who gave us a brief, helpful orientation as well as a few goodies. . The property was very clean and well appointed. The kitchen and laundry facilities were very good

Over 5 stars all around! The place is gorgeous- very clean and has everything you could need and more! (From the kitchen, outdoor games and swing set, beach toys and chairs/wagon, welcome bakery treats). Booking was very easy and excellent communication. Amazing location for family to stay and explore PEI. Would highly recommend and plan to come back again!

This property was much more than we ever imagined it would be. It was by far the most clean and well stocked property that we've ever stayed in. The owners were thorough and generous and attentive and so very kind. We'll always cherish our time on PEI, and a large part of that is because of this home.

We loved our stay at Kevin & Lourdes rental home. It was extremely comfortable. The location is great in the middle of Cavendish, there was plenty of room for our family to spread out, and the hosts were super helpful with recommendations. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cottage! We had 4 adults and 5 children (under 10) and it fit us all perfectly. The cottage was stocked with literally everything you could need for comfort, cooking and even for beach days (chairs, toys, etc). It was clean and spacious both inside and out. The yard is fairly private and it's located off the main road, so it's pretty quiet. Traffic is just from the campground down the road. Close to everything - walkable to most attractions in Cavendish or a short 2 minute drive. Would 100% recommend for larger groups. Hope to visit again next year! Thank you, Kevin & Lourdes!

Without a doubt the nicest and well thought out place we've ever stayed from VRBO. Hosts were very friendly and communication was fast and easy. Amenities covered everything which made our stay so much more comfortable. The place itself is beautiful, the pictures in the listing don't do it justice, we were all amazed and loved our stay. Beautiful decor, very well kept including the incredible landscaping around the property. Located right in town with easy access to everything. Hard to imagine a better place to stay in PEI!

Awesome place to stay for a group. Very clean, very accommodating, so much provided to guests - even tons of beach towels/toys! Yard was the perfect hangout spot, lots for the kiddos to do. My only comment is the road is quite busy because it’s the same road to KOA campground. Kiddos brought their bikes but we always walked with them , and first thing in the morning as it seemed to be the less busy time. Would be fine for older kids tho! Still a 5 star rating for stay.

This cottage was an absolute dream. The owners have thought of everything and were gracious and helpful hosts. The location is perfect for everything "Anne," plus all of the other fun that Cavendish has to offer. We loved our stay here!

The location was lovely. Very close to Brackley Beach, New London, Rustico. Very private. Hosts live next door and were very helpful but only if we needed them. Their property was lovely. We enjoyed their outdoor sitting areas and the home was very well maintained. Lots of space to relax and enjoy one another's company. Highly recommend this property for adult getaway or families with children. Lots of amenities close by.

The cabin was beautifully clean and the perfect combination of comfort, space, and coziness. Unlike most cabin advertisements, the pictures were not at all overestimated. The imaginative name, and the breezy colors fit the ‘near ocean situation. It was a five star experience for us.

This stay was our first time in PEI and it most certainly exceeded all our expectations! Kevin and Lourdes, our hosts, were most welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we maximized the benefit of our stay. Our stay was somewhat peculiar given the time of our visit, prior to the start of tourist season in the Cavendish. They let us know ahead of time what to expect as far as available attractions. We weren't necessarily looking for entertainment as much as we were seeking a week where we could "leave it all behind" and just relax. The Island Gales cottage during our stay provided the perfect setting for such a need. I was practically hypnotized sitting on the front porch, watching the trees swaying in the wind. The gusts cutting through the trees almost sound like waves crashing on the shore! And yet, services like grocery stores and restaurants were only a 10-15 minute drive, so isolation and access were in near perfect balance. PEI in general was a delight to drive around, especially during the time of our stay as there was no in-season tourist traffic to negotiate around. We already miss it, and we can't wait until we're able to visit again. Thank you so much, Kevin and Lourdes!
