A charming historical property in the center of the quaint town of Granville. Everything was accessible as we explored the area, and we walked to Main Street for ice cream and coffee. The garden seating is so inviting we decided to make our meals and dine outdoors rather than head out. The garden does back up to a cidery but that was not a detraction and it quieted down early every evening. Very happy for the central AC. Overall, we felt very comfortable during our stay and would not hesitate to book again for future visits!

We’ve had the pleasure of staying at Bancroft Cottage several times while visiting family in the area, and each visit feels like returning home. The house is filled with laughter, memories, and moments that make it so special to us. Watching our kids grow and create new memories with each stay is something we cherish deeply. The warmth from the fireplaces, combined with the cozy and inviting design of the house, makes it the perfect place to relax and unwind. We’re already looking forward to our next visit and making even more memories here. Thank you for yet another unforgettable stay!

We appreciated the clean and comfortable beds, linens, the well stocked kitchen, and the cabinet full of games. Such a lovely space to hang out with family! The location was perfect for walking to various shops and restaurants, too.

We have been staying here for the past 4 years a couple times a year. We absolutely love everything about this vintage cottage house. The outdoor garden seating is quaint. There is a cidery behind the house called Seek No Further and we were able to sit outside in the backyard of the home and hear the band they had playing. It was an added bonus.

We were quite pleased with our stay at the Bancroft Cottage. The accomadations were excellent. The amenities were fine. The cottage was well stocked and supplied with everything one would need for a stay. Even though it was in the heart of the town it was quiet and peaceful. We will most likely be back when we return to Granville in the future. Highly recommended!

The cottage was lovely and cozy. We had everything we needed for a weekend away from home. We loved relaxing at the cottage, enjoying refreshments by the firepit at the cidery next door, and walking to the shops and restaurants in town. Would definitely stay hete again!

While the cottage is extremely well-appointed, and located in an ideal spot (abutting a cider mill!), we waited until the 3pm check-in time - we were not granted early access - and had a GOLDILOCKS nightmare! The beds were unmade, dirty towels were hanging in the bathrooms, nothing had been cleaned and the air conditioning had not been turned on. The owner, Trent, showed up in person and was very amenable, apologetic, saying it had only happened once before. But it was another 2-3 hours before it was cleaned, by one person with a grandchild-in-tow. Meanwhile, we couldn't shower or unpack, and could have used the time to settle in before evening activities. The nights were stuffy, as the air conditioning never got up-to-speed upstairs. Most importantly we had reserved the cottage ONE YEAR in advance, with the FULL AMOUNT - TWO NIGHTS deducted from the credit card to hold the space, terms which were not stipulated on the page! We called Orbitz, sent a screen shot, they spoke to the property owner, but our hands were tied as our only choice was to cancel. Lastly, 2 baths representation was false, as there was only one bath with a shower, and one half bath upstairs! Very disappointing as we were two couples, different families! We had indicated to the owner that we were using the cottage for graduation, and were granted permission to have a gathering there, which was great. All in all, we made the best of it and enjoyed our stay DESPITE being mislead on many fronts...:/

Thought we booked for 2 nights ( more than a mos. in advance) and then saw it was only 1 night. tried e-mailing to correct..no response, called ...slow response and person who called said they weren't in charge. Unhappy. Place was nice BUT the bedroom with twin beds seems VERY unsafe, stairs on landing etc.

Check in was super easy and the cottage is adorable! Hoping to stay again soon

This little cottage is located in the heart of downtown Granville, Ohio. It is within walking distance of all the restaurants and fun cool places to be and to hang out. The cottage itself is so beautiful and quaint - full of history, which we were not aware of until we got there highly recommend fun little place to go.

This is a beautiful property located in the heart of Granville. We loved how walkable it was to restaurants and shops.

The Bancroft Cottage is around the corner from our home. We had family coming in for a holiday visit and renting the cottage allowed everyone to have a bed. Some family stayed in the cottage and others with us. It is so well appointed and folks loved the proximity to the Cidery!

Completely taken aback by the casual comfort and relaxing atmosphere of the Bancroft Cottage. We came down to watch our Denison daughter swim for a busy weekend. The Bancroft Cottage was “home base” in a hectic weekend where we could relax, unwind and refuel for the next event. Christmas in Granville with all the “Hallmark” trimmings was just icing on a fabulous 4 days weekend. Don’t forget to hit the Cidery, Whits and the Sugary Sweet!
