A group of 6 of us generally had a lovely stay here. Nice quiet village with an hour walk to Moreton over some hilly fields which was lovely. Few things that need some time and money: > Cleaning - this seemed to be a quick mop and hoover round, rather than attention to detail you’d expect from a prof cleaning service - lots of cobwebs, dust spiders and some general grit/grime in areas around furniture > Furniture - there is not enough comfy furniture for 6 people in the living room, there’s a very old chaise which is falling to bits and other occasional chairs, not great if you all want to sit round the fire of an evening with a glass of wine > Log Burners - the information said a starter kit, there was no fire lighters and we had to hunt for matches which were damn, clearly those restocking have never lit a fire themselves > History - you could make a whole feature of the history of the accom, being a chapel, being converted into a home etc etc but there was nothing, such a shame when it is such a historical building > Parking - the directions are to park on Vicarage Street, at one end someone has put boulders on the edging of the road so you can’t park there, nearer the old church if you have any car larger than a Audi A1 you’ll struggle to leave enough room for passing traffic, better directions to places you can park needs updating on the info (we circled round in the dark for about half an hour) Kitchen Equipment - this needs a bit of an audit, there are some random things you wouldn’t usually have like a blender, but then no roasting tin That all being said, we made it a great weekend and it’s location and size is perfect for 6 people.

A super sized house, ideal for a get together! Lovely location with lots to do. The kitchen was super, well resourced and very roomy. All the rooms were a good size and we loved the fire. However the front room does need more comfy furniture, too many of the chairs were uncomfortable (feathers!) However we all had a nice weekend. I would recommend as it was good value for money and a great base.

The only reason I gave cleanliness a 4 when we arrived the recycling was everywhere in the garden it did get removed by somebody while we was out one day otherwise a great little place to stay, parking can be a problem sometimes. Especially if you have two large cars. But with that in mind it only happened once. It wouldn’t put me off staying again.
