Casa Los Cactus El Gastor by Ruralidays

We had a fabulous time here. Los Cactus felt like a botanical garden where you could see all the love and care that was put in, even in November when we were there. The location couldn’t be more idyllic. The views during every time of the day were spectacular. Our host Trini is super nice and friendly, and despite a language barrier was the communication with her great thanks to the technologies (translation apps). We enjoyed our time there and explored the near and far (Ronda, Seville, Marbella, El Gastor, Grazalema). The area is great for hiking enthusiasts. Andalusia is just beautiful and this Finca was the cherry on top!

It was genuinely like paradise. The garden was absolutely stunning, so many different places to sit or lay in the sun or shade, enjoying the panoramic views over the embalsa and surrounding mountains. A lot of wildlife to spot! The pool is well maintained and regularly cleaned. The house is clean, well equipped, and peaceful and blissfully cool for when it gets very hot outside. Trini was a wonderful host and answered any questions very quickly via whatsapp, gave us great recommendations for eating in El Gastor (5 min drive), and was just generally very friendly and welcoming. Really perfectly situated for visiting Ronda, Zahara de la Sierra, and the Parque Natural de Grazalema where you can do some beautiful walks. Highly recommend and would love to return.

We stayed 3 night at this wonderful cottage with panoramic view.. Fireplace was very good. We used 3 packs of firewood in reasonable price. Good kitchen facility, comfortable sofa and bed.

We had a good time at the Villa, once Trini and Pepe showed us the way to the property. The owners Trini and Pepe are very proud of their beautiful Villa and the grounds and pool were wonderful. The property is at the end of a road with one other villa in the vicinity. The only downside to the area is two caged dogs on the grounds next to the villa which I found upsetting, but this had nothing to do with the villa or the owners but it did spoil my stay. It would be much better if the dogs could perhaps have the run of the grounds rather than be locked in a cage. We would not visit again because of this but this is not any disrespect to the owners who’s property is lovely but I think future clients may also find the situation sad. Kim and Graham
