Walk to Restaurants and Shops - 5S

Okay guys, this is going to be a real “to be honest” and straight up review.First off, the communication from the host was GREAT! We did lose our keys at the beach and didn’t realize it until we got back to the property. Mind you it was pretty late when we got back and it did take a little bit to get a response from the host; but when the host replied we were able to get a spare key (we paid a fee of course via Zelle) pretty quickly and the host made sure to make sure we were all good! The room looks exactly as pictured and the room is located in the back area of the house. The path from the front to the back area where the room is located is very clear and also has a motion light for night time. The room is next to another room which was also being rented while we were there so keep in mind that you might have neighbors. We hardly saw our neighbors and never interacted with anyone in the main house so we definitely felt like we had our own space and privacy. There is a nice little grassy area to the side of the room where you can go chill and we also had a little table and 2 chairs right outside of the room which did come in handy when we lost our keys and were just waiting outside the room for the host to reply. Now the cleanliness of the room was a 4 out of 5 starts. There was some dust but the bed was very clean and the restroom was also very clean. The room could definitely use some handy work.-SEE PICTURES FOR MORE-

The room had a terrible smell that was unbearable to tolerate more than a few minutes without making us feel sick. Additionally the doorknob fell off as soon as we entered so we were unable to lock it and felt unsafe. We checked out immediately and explained our issues to the host but he was unwilling to give us a refund. I am not one to leave negative reviews but I feel like others should be warned about how terrible this property is. The two “excellent” reviews that I was relying on must have been posted by the host because there is no way anyone could consider this an acceptable place to stay unless it has really gone downhill in the last month. It was a very disappointing (and expensive!) mistake booking this property.

This place was so cute, clean, and comfortable and in a beautiful neighborhood. We loved that we could walk all around Little Havana from this place. (Tip…Walk to the right, through the neighborhood and then turn left after a few blocks to get to the best part of Little Havana). It was easy to communicate with the host and easy to get in. He was able to accommodate our need to leave luggage there longer and replied to messages very quickly. Highly recommend and we would gladly stay here again and eat more Cuban food!!

Everything was absolutely perfect. Exactly what you would want with a VRBO. So quaint, clean just everything, not to mention the location. What is special is is in the residential side of little Havana.
