Cottage 5 on Beautiful Fox Lake!

This was a nice clean place. We arrived after dark and it was not easy to find. There was no address to use, so we had to ask after we got to fox lake. We thought we found the place but couldn't find cabin 5. There were no signs and the building is behind another one. From the parking lot we were still not sure if we were in the right place. Finally explored on foot and found it.

This was our first time staying at The Shores. This location on Fox Lake is ideal for lake access and local attractions. The Shores Supper Club is an AWESOME dining experience and the Boathouse Pub & Eatery was also excellent. The fishing on Fox Lake is excellent with trophy-sized Northern, Muskie, and Large-Mouth Bass in abundance along with perch, bluegill, and crappie. There is a very nice boat launch with piers across from the cottages and there are many great areas around the lake to fish from the shore. We found the cabin as described and that it had been recently updated. The cabin was perfect for the two of us. The kitchen was well-stocked, there were plenty of soft towels and blankets, and the beds and furniture were comfortable. The cabin was clean except for a couple of dog hair "dust bunnies" that snuck in from somewhere. (We have dogs at home so this didn\'t upset us.) The kitchen and bathroom were very clean and the on-demand hot water heater worked well. The water pressure was good and the well water was excellent to drink. The air conditioning and ceiling fans had no problem keeping the cabin cool on 90+ degree days. There was a nice selection of cable channels on the TV and the WFI worked well. The picnic tables and charcoal grills were in excellent condition, and the property was clean and well-kept. If you bring a boat the parking can be a little tight if the other cabins are occupied. We will stay here again!

Great location on Fox Lake. Think fishing cabin. Nothing fancy. Just a nice place to stay in great location.
