Spacious Cheriton Home: 8 Mi to Cape Charles!

The home is located on a gorgeous piece of property. You drive down a driveway lined with beautiful trees and you feel like you’re in a movie. Although it feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere, you’re approx 15 mins from to grocery stores and Cape Charles downtown where you have restaurants, ice cream shops, various activities and shopping. High tide brings a gorgeous view of the water. Plenty of space for backyard games. We played football, soccer, and enjoyed having plenty of space for everyone. We did experience some hiccups while at the property. These seems to be isolated based on other reviews. The air conditioning did not work upstairs- it was 80 degrees. There were separate window units that were available in 2 of the rooms but one did not work. When I reached out using VRBO after check in I was provided with a number I texted but I never heard back from them. We asked the groundskeeper- he said the AC was supposed to have been fixed and he would inform the owner but that did not appear to happen unfortunately.On the morning of our last full day the pool was green and unusable. So we reached out to everyone on the contact list on the fridge that someone addressed the AC and pool concern. They were quick to have someone come and treat the pool but it was left unusable for our last day. (It was fine the first few days) ACs were installed within 30 minutes & that was resolved. Host was apologetic and helpful once they were informed of what was going on.

The house and pool house were very clean and stocked well w kitchen stuff and towels. Every bedroom was super cozy and the views were gorgeous.

Gorgeous property, beautiful views, incredible wildlife & the pool was our favorite!

We definitely enjoyed our stay! The picturesque property was well maintained, the pool house was great, and the main house was very clean and comfortable. The only surprise we ran into was that there were two full baths in the pool house. We expected one of those to be in the main house. I would definitely recommend this property to large groups!
