Cabin just as described and looked exactly as shown in the pictures. Bed very comfy. Lots of kitchen stuff for anything you would need to cook. Location not too far from Boone which had stores and restaurants. Beautiful location, loved the string of lights that lighted the path down to the fire pit. Just one hiccup, oven not working and no repairman available during our stay. Definitely would love to stay again.

Nice property just needs a good dusting and gas grill needs replacing, Otherwise lovely cabin, downstairs bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water to shower with, pictures are accurate on what to expect. Would book again when needed, you do need to have a 4x4 when it snows to reach property in winter, as we were lucky to have several inches while we were there (yes I have 4wheel drive), check in process was easy and had no issues while there.

What a great place to escape, sit in front of the fire, hang out in the hot tub... perfect romantic retreat for an otherwise dreary winter weekend. And the outdoor firepit, grill, etc will draw us back in better weather! Highly recommend.

We have stayed at properties in the Carolina's for over 20 years and we have had very little problems. If we did have a problem the host was eager to correct the problem so that our stay was still a fantastic experience. They would even follow up during your stay to insure everything was still ok. Coming from Florida we enjoy the fireplace, the fire pit, grilliing and all the other amenities youve paid for. On arrival it was chilly and we were so looking forward to a fire in the fireplace. We owned a home with a fireplace and have rented over 30 homes with fireplaces. That being said we know how to build a fire. This fireplace instantly started backdrafting and set the fire alarm off. The flue was open, grate set right pushed to the back and the wood appeared dry. We quickly put it out and waited until morning to try again. Once again it backdrafted and set off smoke alarm. I contacted our host Dina and she suggested that we watch a U tube video on how to make a fire and that all fires smoked a little. I responded that we are well seasoned on firplaces and something was wrong. Her reply was the owners were there the weekend before and chimney had been cleaned. Sorry for your inconvenient. That was it never heard from her again!! So our stay had no fireplace. The grill was rusted and filty so no grilling. Kitchen was not the cleanest. Hot tub seating was slimy and not the cleanest. Rating of almost 10's? Beware of this property!

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was a relaxing, quiet honeymoon spot. The bed was very comfortable and the hot tub was excellent. There were a few safety concerns with the smoke alarms being disabled or missing off their base. We understand that previous visitors had done this due to the amount of smoke that comes from the fireplace. But overall, it was beautiful and cozy. We would definitely come back.

Really enjoyed the cabin. Hot tub and fire pit was very nice. If we had any complaints it would be that the cabin is pet friendly but the only area to walk the dog the grass was about 2 foot high. Also the string lights walking down to the fire pit over half the bulbs were blown. Overall was a great stay would stay here again.

Quiet location in the trees and about 15-20 minutes from Boone in one direction and Mountain City, TN in the other direction. Nice cabin with updated kitchen and master bath. Hot tub was awesome, although couldn’t find any external lights on that side of the house, so a little tricky in the dark. Master bed was super comfy. Lots of classic movies on DVD if you’re hanging out.

This cabin has everything you need. Fire pit with chairs, hot tub, great privacy. The view is great. Cabin was clean, nice appliances, nice bedrooms, large deck with a view. Property owner was very helpful and friendly. Will stay here again.

This cabin was perfect. The kitchen is well stocked and the master bed was comfortable. The cabin has a comfortable and cozy feel. The hot tub was hot both daytime and at night. This is just what we needed to escape the day to day stress of work. We will be back. My only complaint was that our time in the cabin wasn’t long enough. Looking forward to utilizing this retreat again

Great cozy and warm cabin for a ski vacation! Loved the fireplace, hot tub, and outdoor fire pit! Open-concept layout was great for family dinners and conversations. Road is steep and definitely requires 4WD, but great for sledding!

The cabin is very cozy. Upstairs bathroom would benifit from a facelift. More detailed cleaning would be a benefit. Location was great, nice secure area and a well stocked kitchen.

house was super clean. pictures online were current and accurate. Kitchen was very well stocked, with snything you could need for your visit. Beds were very comfotable, and the hot tub was so relaxing at the rnd of the day.

Cabin was well equipped and clean. Area is beautiful. It was perfect weekend get-away to take a breathe and get some relaxation in. Originally did not automatically receive entry codes, but owner was quickly responsive. We did have some issues with the gate at first, but luckily neighbors were there at the same time and were very helpful. It can be a bit touchy on exit, need to pull up just right. (No fault of the owner - just pointers for future vacationers). Have stayed in many vacation rentals over the years, this one did not disappoint! I would absolutely recommend. Minor downside was the trash drop-off. Have always had checkout things to do, while gathering trash - placing nearby on same property, would typically be a part of that. Trash drop off location was within 5 miles of the cabin, but it was in the opposite direction of our travel (luckily have truck, so just put in bed and disposed of when returned home).

We stayed at this beautiful cabin in Zionville, NC for our first anniversary, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The peaceful mountain setting, cozy interior, and thoughtful touches made it feel like a true getaway. Everything was exactly as described, clean, comfortable, and full of charm. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax, reconnect, and celebrate our special weekend. Highly recommend!

Given wrong gate code and host didn’t respond so had to call VRBO and stay in a hotel - finally heard back in morning. Place itself was very nice - hot tub moldy but other than that really nice. Was issued a refund for the inconvenience

This house was the perfect place for our fall getaway. Tucked into the side of a rolling hill in a gated community which made me feel very safe. It was spotless and the king bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in so much that I looked to see what the brand is. After a long hike the hot tub was soothing over looking the falling leaves. I will be booking it again for next year !

My friend and I were only able to stay a couple of nights, but we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The cabin has the “mountain feel” with rustic decor, and the location was easily accessible from Boone. We had everything we needed for a wonderful experience.

The house was cozy and location to Boone very convenient. We booked it especially to use the hot tub. When we arrived we noted it was foamier than usual and saw a used soap bar on its ledge. We contacted the owner who responded within one hour acknowledging the issue and saying they would send someone out. No one ever came and we never heard any follow up from the owners, despite reaching out. I have had much more responsive owners at other rentals when we ran into issues.

No one ever came and we never heard any follow up from the owners, despite reaching out. I have had much more responsive owners at other rentals when we ran into issues.

We have stayed at properties in the Carolina's for over 20 years and we have had very little problems. If we did have a problem the host was eager to correct the problem so that our stay was still a fantastic experience. They would even follow up during your stay to insure everything was still ok. Coming from Florida we enjoy the fireplace, the fire pit, grilliing and all the other amenities youve paid for. On arrival it was chilly and we were so looking forward to a fire in the fireplace. We owned a home with a fireplace and have rented over 30 homes with fireplaces. That being said we know how to build a fire. This fireplace instantly started backdrafting and set the fire alarm off. The flue was open, grate set right pushed to the back and the wood appeared dry. We quickly put it out and waited until morning to try again. Once again it backdrafted and set off smoke alarm. I contacted our host Dina and she suggested that we watch a U tube video on how to make a fire and that all fires smoked a little. I responded that we are well seasoned on firplaces and something was wrong. Her reply was the owners were there the weekend before and chimney had been cleaned. Sorry for your inconvenient. That was it never heard from her again!! So our stay had no fireplace. The grill was rusted and filty so no grilling. Kitchen was not the cleanest. Hot tub seating was slimy and not the cleanest. Rating of almost 10's? Beware of this property!

Cabin was well equipped and clean. Area is beautiful. It was perfect weekend get-away to take a breathe and get some relaxation in. Originally did not automatically receive entry codes, but owner was quickly responsive. We did have some issues with the gate at first, but luckily neighbors were there at the same time and were very helpful. It can be a bit touchy on exit, need to pull up just right. (No fault of the owner - just pointers for future vacationers). Have stayed in many vacation rentals over the years, this one did not disappoint! I would absolutely recommend. Minor downside was the trash drop-off. Have always had checkout things to do, while gathering trash - placing nearby on same property, would typically be a part of that. Trash drop off location was within 5 miles of the cabin, but it was in the opposite direction of our travel (luckily have truck, so just put in bed and disposed of when returned home).

The rental process was smooth. The cabin was great for our time away. The owner was quick to respond and provided what we needed to enjoy the cabin. We loved the fireplace and had plenty of wood and perfect weather to enjoy the cozy space.

Loved our time at this mountain cabin! Great location convenient to fun local towns, hiking and other activities. Nicely decorated. Loved the deck and hot tub! Stephanie was very responsive in answering questions. Already making plans to return!

The property was a great stay! It was very clean and the owner was very prompt to answer our questions! The only issue my wife and I had was VRBO never sent the check in instructions. We arrived at the cabin around midnight the first night we were supposed to stay with no way to get in. I called, but didn’t get an answer (completely understandable). We went back to Boone to get a hotel, and the next morning at 6:30 we heard back from the owner and had the instructions. Neither one of us are sure what happened, because she has a screenshot showing instructions were sent and we have one showing we never received them. She was prompt to refund us for the night we couldn’t stay. Can’t ask for anymore than that. My wife and I would definitely stay there again in the future. We just need to make sure we have access before midnight!

Found this listing looking for something secluded in the mountains, just cozy enough for having all the normal amenities and a hot tub for relaxing. Once checked in, we couldn’t have been more happy with everything in the Cabin. Felt like a second home fire the few days we stayed, and absolutely wonderful being able to sit by the fire and enjoy our first days as husband and wife ❤️ This will definitely be a place we will be back to for our anniversary and bring our son with us this time. Host was always communicable, and more than polite when we had questions. Overall 11 out of 10 for this listing! We look forward to staying at The Dancing Bear again!

Given wrong gate code and host didn’t respond so had to call VRBO and stay in a hotel - finally heard back in morning. Place itself was very nice - hot tub moldy but other than that really nice. Was issued a refund for the inconvenience

Our family had the best time staying at this sweet cabin. It was a great location that felt peaceful and remote, although we were still really close to Boone/Blowing Rock for our daily outings. We loved exploring some of the hiking trails nearby, soaking in the hot tub and lots of time around the fire! really well stocked with kitchen essentials, and the beds were super comfortable. Will definitely be coming back!

Arrived at 3pm Tues left out Fri morning. Nice place gated community. Close to everything. TN line just a few minutes down the road. Lake nearby, shpping nearby parkway near by. Host was very helpful. We will rent again.

Quiet location in the trees and about 15-20 minutes from Boone in one direction and Mountain City, TN in the other direction. Nice cabin with updated kitchen and master bath. Hot tub was awesome, although couldn’t find any external lights on that side of the house, so a little tricky in the dark. Master bed was super comfy. Lots of classic movies on DVD if you’re hanging out.

We stayed at this beautiful cabin in Zionville, NC for our first anniversary, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Our stay at dancing Bear was OK. The kitchen needs new cooking utensils the toaster needs to be replaced dog friendly, but there’s really not a place to walk your dog. The kids didn’t have a place to toss the ball. And the dust from the road, so close to the cabin was really bad. The grill on the patio needs to be replaced cannot be used

Great cozy and warm cabin for a ski vacation! Loved the fireplace, hot tub, and outdoor fire pit! Open-concept layout was great for family dinners and conversations. Road is steep and definitely requires 4WD, but great for sledding!

Was the perfect place for my family and I. We have just been running and running it feels like this entire year, and to take a weekend and just relax was amazing. We loved the fire pit and all the dads/ blu ray movies that are there. The internet didn't work very well, even the tvs would buffer or disconnect every so often but it was still nice to "unplug" and be present.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay in Zionville, NC. It was close to Boone and our daily adventures. The cabin was well appointed with all the amenities that we needed. Just an FYI, the internet was slower however we didn't go there for internet but went to enjoy the cooler mountain weather and scenery. Entry instructions were simple and information regarding the cabin was in a handy binder. We would definitely enjoy staying again in the future and recommend it if you are planning to visit the Boone, NC area.

Lots of dust inside and debri outside.Internet and TV kept popping in and out poor signalTrash left in Kitchen with onions that we found on second day and we removed with our trash, smoke detector downstairs was not there. 3 way switches did not work because hooked up wrong. did not use hot tub because cover was broken and could not be pulled back. some receptacles in master bedroom did not work

The cabin is super cute and cozy. Great updates with plenty of towels and kitchen items. We had a time finding things. Never found any garbage bags so went and got some. Many lights were out and lots of cob webs around the upstairs bedroom. The cleaning crew might need to remember to clean up there if it doesn't get used.

A little confusing checking in at the gate b/c the code had been changed and we did not know. We called the manger and she answered very quickly and got it resolved with 10 minutes. Hot tub was nice, the only thing I would suggest is to have a cover over it so if there is a shower you can still enjoy the tub. Over all it was great and we would stay there again.
