NEVER expected to start load towels and bed linen at end of stay. Was responsible for discarding trash not at outdoor receptacle but at a dumpster 6 miles in the opposite direction from our route home. Seriously???? Frig had ice maker but not working. After checking in had to go back down mountain for ice. Cabin had fireplace but ---not working.! Was contacted (not by request) to see if tech could check fireplace during our stay after being inoperable for " couple of months". Ahhh- no. Cabin was cute and comfortable but we won't be booking or recommending in the future.

Beautiful place to have a peaceful vacation and relaxing stay. Grilling on the back porch and resting as you sit and listen to nature’s sounds was quite enjoyable. Loved our time here! We would definitely stay again.

This cabin was accurately described in the main description but also in the reviews that I had read before booking…..we were less than 10miles from Boone (an easy route to/from town) there is a Dollar General about 3 miles from the cabin. Fully stocked, all utensils, pots, pans that you need in the kitchen. Plenty of towels, extra throw blankets, detergent, etc. Great covered porches with lots of shade and ceiling fans. For us it wasn’t a huge deal to take our trash with us, there is a dump a couple miles away heading in to Boone on same Rd so it wasn’t a huge inconvenience. Quiet, secluded area. Simple and relaxing. Def recommend and hope we can return for another stay in the future!!! Only con: no hot tub, but not a deal breaker in the slightest!!

Everything is dependent on what you want. It was perfect for us. Close enough to things we may want to visit or need, but far enough away from tourists and town of Boone to be peaceful, relaxing, and quiet. We especially enjoyed cooking on and relaxing on the back porch.The property itself is attractive inside and out, adequately equipped, and clean.

Fire place did not workHad water leak from water heater while there. Someone came while we were out to repair ( no notice that they would be there) and left a mess for us to clean up.Someone else came while we were out and worked on fire place (again no notice that someone would be there) left a mess for us to clean up.We feel our privacy was invaded with no heads up that someone would be there while we were not. Especially since our dogs were left there. Emergency contact did not answer phone or messages.Nice home but poor management. If no better customer service than this we will not be using VRBO or Evolve in the future.

We saw the listing and believed this was a good fit for our needs. The only issue we could spot was the lack of a gas grill. The manager assured us that one would be there when we arrived and it was. The cabin was cozy with plenty of room. Now, the troubling issues are as follows. The linens supplied were quite old and some were threadbare. The cabin slept four but there were only three hand towels provided. When we advised the manager she was vague in her response and did nothing to correct the shortage. The clothes dryer had what seemed to be a clogged vent and took three drying cycles to dry a small load. There was plenty of heat but little ability to vent the moist air. We advised the manager and her answer was that they were aware of the problem. When we left 26 days later the issue was still unresolved. The TV in the greatroom was small, about the size for a dorm room. It was flush mounted to the wall and could not be swiveled or tilted. The mount was so close to the wall that we had to remove the TV from the wall mount in order to plug in our Firestick. The bottom basket of the dishwasher was missing a roller so that we had to manually lift the basket out to load and empty it. Also, in this vacation rental, there were neither wine glasses or a corkscrew. After the linen and dryer issues we quit calling the manager as it was an exercise in futility. The bottom line take away is that someone needs to MANAGE THE MANAGER!!

Property was very clean. Had beautiful trees surrounding house. Cabin neat as a pin on the inside. Fixtures appeared new. This cabin appeared well maintained. It was advertised as nearby Boone, which was true. Enjoyed our stay here.

Second time we stayed at home. Tells you we liked it. Rained most of time we were there. Not the home's fault. Quiet and clean. Will stay again if we want to go to Boone.About 11 miles away but takes about 25 minutes to get there. Roads are curvey but trip enjoyable.

My mom, sister and I ended up at this peaceful and clean mountain cabin. It was nice having our fur babies with us too. There was plenty of room and we shared lots of laughter at the dining room table after cooking a nice dinner. Jessica, our host, was quick to respond that the disposal did not work. Even after she shared an instructional video about the gas logs, we still could not get them to work. That was not a problem because we could keep warm with the furnace. I recommend this location for anyone who wants a quiet mountain getaway!

We saw the listing and believed this was a good fit for our needs. The only issue we could spot was the lack of a gas grill. The manager assured us that one would be there when we arrived and it was. The cabin was cozy with plenty of room. Now, the troubling issues are as follows. The linens supplied were quite old and some were threadbare. The cabin slept four but there were only three hand towels provided. When we advised the manager she was vague in her response and did nothing to correct the shortage. The clothes dryer had what seemed to be a clogged vent and took three drying cycles to dry a small load. There was plenty of heat but little ability to vent the moist air. We advised the manager and her answer was that they were aware of the problem. When we left 26 days later the issue was still unresolved. The TV in the greatroom was small, about the size for a dorm room. It was flush mounted to the wall and could not be swiveled or tilted. The mount was so close to the wall that we had to remove the TV from the wall mount in order to plug in our Firestick. The bottom basket of the dishwasher was missing a roller so that we had to manually lift the basket out to load and empty it. Also, in this vacation rental, there were neither wine glasses or a corkscrew. After the linen and dryer issues we quit calling the manager as it was an exercise in futility. The bottom line take away is that someone needs to MANAGE THE MANAGER!!

Clean and comfortable with essentials provided.Nice back porch with grill and rocking chairs to enjoy the outdoor air. The neighborhood was quiet and we could walk our dog up the road a short ways.Upstairs (loft) shower and lights did not work. This was not that important for our stay, but may be needed for others. The company was notified, so hopefull these are fixed for the next guest(s).

Okay experience. Check in had some issues with front door code but got it figured out. Downstairs bedroom hallway smelled like sewage but was able to stay upstairs. Clean and shown as advertised. About 20 minutes to Boone and 20 to West Jefferson so good location. Quiet road with nice open driveway.

My husband and I took our two best friends for a little getaway trip to celebrate their beautiful little girl that was (at the time) on the way. The house was absolutely perfect for all of us and was just the perfect relaxed getaway. It was close enough to drive just about anywhere but far enough to still feel remote. Wonderful little spot to relax!

Property was very clean. Had beautiful trees surrounding house. Cabin neat as a pin on the inside. Fixtures appeared new. This cabin appeared well maintained. It was advertised as nearby Boone, which was true. Enjoyed our stay here.

This cabin was accurately described in the main description but also in the reviews that I had read before booking…..we were less than 10miles from Boone (an easy route to/from town) there is a Dollar General about 3 miles from the cabin. Fully stocked, all utensils, pots, pans that you need in the kitchen. Plenty of towels, extra throw blankets, detergent, etc. Great covered porches with lots of shade and ceiling fans. For us it wasn’t a huge deal to take our trash with us, there is a dump a couple miles away heading in to Boone on same Rd so it wasn’t a huge inconvenience. Quiet, secluded area. Simple and relaxing. Def recommend and hope we can return for another stay in the future!!! Only con: no hot tub, but not a deal breaker in the slightest!!

Everything is dependent on what you want. It was perfect for us. Close enough to things we may want to visit or need, but far enough away from tourists and town of Boone to be peaceful, relaxing, and quiet. We especially enjoyed cooking on and relaxing on the back porch.The property itself is attractive inside and out, adequately equipped, and clean.

We had the best time. The house was just wonderful. We were close to West Jefferson and Boone. Every one we met was so friendly. Would definitely go back and stay here again.

Second time we stayed at home. Tells you we liked it. Rained most of time we were there. Not the home's fault. Quiet and clean. Will stay again if we want to go to Boone.About 11 miles away but takes about 25 minutes to get there. Roads are curvey but trip enjoyable.

Beautiful place to have a peaceful vacation and relaxing stay. Grilling on the back porch and resting as you sit and listen to nature’s sounds was quite enjoyable. Loved our time here! We would definitely stay again.

The cabin was cozy. All beds were comfortable. The microwave and toaster oven were not working. We managed by using the stove/oven. Utensils and some dishes were unclean.

My mom, sister and I ended up at this peaceful and clean mountain cabin. It was nice having our fur babies with us too. There was plenty of room and we shared lots of laughter at the dining room table after cooking a nice dinner. Jessica, our host, was quick to respond that the disposal did not work. Even after she shared an instructional video about the gas logs, we still could not get them to work. That was not a problem because we could keep warm with the furnace. I recommend this location for anyone who wants a quiet mountain getaway!

Overall the property was well above expectations based off previous rental experiences.Minor issues - front door deadbolt, had to replace batteries, - had to fix door knob because it would not open from inside. - Sink in bathroom was missing stopper. - Mattress and boxspring in downstairs bedroom needs replacing.

Communication with the owner was terrible. Her daughter was my contact since the owner was on vacation. The lock box and punch code access did not work so I could not check in the first night. The daughter met me the next day and let me in with a new code and gave me one of the spare keys so I would not have to contend with a possible lock out, again. I was told that the only source of heat was a fireplace, so I had to bring in a portable heater the first night to stay warm, only to discover the next day that the cabin is heated and cooled by central heating and air conditioning. The unit control was not visible and is hidden behind a door. Also, there is an outside light on a telephone pole. It was not working. I reported this to the daughter and photographed the lamp so she could determine which power company to contact. No further communication regarding that.I requested of the daughter, multiple times, to extend my stay by one day in exchange for the first night that I could not gain access to the cabin. I had to go through the Vrbo staff several times over several days to finally get an answer from the owner via the staff.The cabin was clean although some of the window seals had dead bugs in them and the wooden blinds were dusty. The house was pretty nice. Directions were misleading and check in was poor. We did not receive an email with directions to get into the house until after 4:00pm and I had to call VRBO customer service to get the password. When we got there, the password didn’t work. So we had to call back again. Fireplace directions said not to use until further notice followed by directions on how to turn it on. When we walked in, the pilot light was already on. The master bed was very wobbly and seemed broken. The house was nice though.

Everything was fine ACCEPT the cabin was either home to cats or cats were recently present. I am extremely allergic, and my stay was impacted by that. No trash outlet readily available, had to drive to a landfill. No big deal, but something I would have preferred.Fair overall......
