From the time we arrived until we left, we felt very at home in this lovely cottage. Location was perfect as a home base to go and discover Ireland. So many things to discover in Duleek and the people were great-especially loved Nannys Pub and Tribes. Suggest you stay here and enjoy.

Eight guests from 20 to 92 years old. Perfect VRBO experience. Wonderful host. First class finishing of house with careful attention to comfort and convenience. Could not have had a better stay for our needs.

This home was everything we could have hoped for--pristine, with every extra we could have wanted. We are a family of Grandmother and Grandfather, 2 sons, their wives, and 2 grandchildren and we were more than comfortable in the accommodations. Our host had provided more than we had any expectation of finding, including some staples we thought we would have to buy there. This historic house, the oldest in Duleek, has been lovingly restored, updated, and tastefully decorated. The locale in the heart of the Boyne Valley offered wonderful excursions. The host even had valuable recommendations for the restaurants in the area. Needless to say, we hope to be back soon and often!

We just ended a 45 day trip through all of Europe and this VRBO in Duleek, Ireland was our favorite stay! Karla was amazing. Her attention to detail is commendable and the house is beautiful inside and out. Karla has thought about everything. We loved the Tribe Restaurant next door, next to Monastery ruins and we ate inside the bell tower, which made it very special. We were 8 people including two teens, who loved watching DVDs and eating popcorn at night. We also loved Nanny’s, a Pub just a 5 min walk away and a coffee shop just across the street. We even saw cows at the end of that street beyond the fence with a beautiful view of the Irish country side. There is a Eurospar market down the road and the Butcher shop is literally next store. We visited Dublin for a day and were so glad we stayed in Duleek instead. Dublin is a busy city with no parking, Duleek is a small town where you can truly relax and enjoy the country side. Drogheda is also close by worth going to visit for a day. Emerald park (aka Tauro park) and Newgrange are also only 15 min away and both highly recommended. Other places I recommend visiting in Ireland are Bunratty Castle (do the Medieval Banquet), Glendalough Ruins and Lakes, Cliffs of Moher (go after 4pm when buses leave and possibly do the coastal walk shortcut instead), Blarney Castle (this place was bigger than I thought I wish I would have dedicated more time to it), Doolin and Aran View Islands (Inisheer).
