Renovated duplex on former asylum campus

The property was clean and inviting. Loved the vintage recliner, very comfortable. Beds were very comfortable. Great place to stay for checking out the asylum.

Tom was super great to communicate with in the location of this duplex is super cool. So much to see in the area with a short drive or walking around the asylum property. A beautiful field filled with pecan trees around the properties as well. The unit was updated, but still a little bit more needs to be done. Still a great experience overall though.

We had a great time staying at the Asylum house. I will not lie it was a bit scary driving up. Once there it was a blast. Walking around the old Hospital grounds. We think we got some voice box recordings. Did hear some screams, well we think we did. Saw the old Prison creepy for sure. Must go to the old cemetery. Could have used more towels, but that would be the only down side. So if your looking for a place that has a past, this is the place. Its a must see for sure. Thanks. John.

Everything is exactly as described. It's a simple, clean, quite place. Has all the needed amenities. It was our first time visiting the area. If you have any interest in being near the asylum and being able to walk around the grounds this spot is the best. The buildings are literally in the backyard. They are not publicly accessible, however, the vibe is right. We walked around and took night photography of the buildings. While you cannot enter the buildings, the architecture is beautiful enough. The location is amazing if you love this type of location and History !! Its amazing, The Home is very clean and very comfortable with a great view. The Owner only left a Mr. Coffee Pot, with Coffee Filters and Coffee, and salt and pepper, and lots of dishes, glasses and cups and silverware, and a bottle of dish detergent, but that was it !!!! No Creamer, or Sugar for the coffee... literally nothing, Not even a bottle of water. Other than that, I highly suggest it here, keeping in mind the History
