We had a wonderful stay at this place. Especially the porch and garden are great to relax after a long hike or in the morning. The hosts Sarah and Ciarán are very nice and always there if you have a question or need a good tip what to see, when the weather has you cancelling your plans (Thanks again! :) ). There are some small farms around with the typical sounds and animals which we found enjoyable. The house itself is very clean, however since it's in the subtropics your are occasionally welcomed by a lizard or insect that made its way inside, but as long as you don't leave any food out, you'll be fine. There is essential infrastructure around: small supermarket, little coffee/poncha place and last but not least a Hawai themed cocktail bar called Pukiki that is great for the spontaneous drink in the evening without the need of driving (many do drive there as its possibly the best cocktail bar on the island if not Portugal). So overall, if you're not looking for a luxurious resort but a quiet place to wind down from work and to explore this little macronesian island gem, it's perfect. :)
