Modern 3br 3 ba house near downtown w/ amenities

There was a lot of space, but it wasn’t well-maintained. There was a persistent bad smell that we couldn’t identify. It was musty but also smelled like garbage. It reached every room in the house, but was strongest in the garage/ basement and front entrance. There were also so many big flies on the first floor, at least a dozen of them around the windows. We tried to investigate the smell but couldn’t figure it out. After sleeping in it for a night, we let the owners know but they told us there wasn’t anything they could do. Overall, there’s very little sense of hospitality; it was very bare bones, less than any hotel or motel I’ve stayed at. For example, in the entire house there was not a single box of tissues. Also very important to note: this listing says three bathrooms but what it should clarify is that that means one full bathroom and two powder rooms. Perhaps it’s on me since I didn’t ask beforehand, but you would think this would be important to write in the description. Going back through their photos though, I can see that they only have pictures of the one full bathroom so to be honest, I feel like this purposefully misleads. The three of us thought we had our own bathrooms, but ended up having to share the one instead. Very disappointing stay.

House was exactly what we needed, 3 beds were comfortable and house was clean and well laid out. Hosts were responsive. Overall recommend.

Great place to stay, just wow, we do not have anything negative to report. The use of the garage to park our vehicle was a big plus factor, as we were travelling with expensive gear. Will definitely use again if touring in the Sudbury area.

Worked out okay but limited attention to detail. The furniture, counter tops and cabinetry is tired/worn. Two missing lights in kitchen/dining room with broken light over stove making it dark to cook. We ended up buying 2 light bulbs. Oven did not cook according to temperature chosen so food was undercooked. Limited plates and cutlery. Tea cups but no coffee mugs. Some dishes put away dirty. Nice to have 3 bathrooms but only one shower for 4 of us. Asked owners by email what kind of coffee system to bring appropriate coffee/filters with no reply. It’s a Keurig which was nice. Would have been helpful if they left instructions on how to operate the TV boxes. Walking distance to downtown Overall, the pros outweighed the cons so would probably rent again.

Many issues needed to be addressed. Walkway not maintained had to shovel. Loose taps, loose kitchen table and bench, burnt out lights in every room. Need more utensils which we supplied. Missing items (foosball). Washer and dryer problems. Washer would not drain, had to remove soaking wet clothes. Not impressed!
