My husband and I wanted a quiet getaway to relax, explore unfamiliar mountain sites, and celebrate our anniversary. Renee’s cottage was the perfect setting. Her property was just as inviting as described. The stream with walking path and bench started our visit off right. Watching the chickens while sipping a beverage on the deck ended our day serenely. The location is convenient to the excursions we planned. Renee’s breakfast was even better than expected and she is absolutely delightful! We highly recommend staying at this lovely cottage..

What a great little place. It was perfect for my husband and I. Renee is a perfect host. The grounds are beautiful to walk and you are a short drive to all the different areas. The bed was very comfortable with the softest sheet. I highly recommend you stay here.

The cabin was exactly as advertised, both by Rene and by the reviews. The atmosphere was rustic, yet clean, comfortable and inspiring joy. I could imagine the fun Rene had and decorating. The large deck as an outside room overlooking the gardens and chickens,was a bonus for sunrise tai chi. While my arthritis and traveling body didn’t allow me to take full advantage of the hiking, The sound of the creek lured me as far as the bridge and was worthy of a sketch. I had different breakfasts both days which were packed with goodness. Would highly recommend. I was seeking respite for my body and soul and I got exactly that, so I can go home refreshed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Renee’s lovely cabin! My fiancé and I decided to stay in the mountains at the end of our trip to North Carolina after visiting family and we are so grateful that this cabin was available. We loved the farm- the chickens were so much fun to watch, and the breakfast was amazing! We enjoyed a walk around the creek and enjoyed a fire at the fire pit on our last night. We would definitely come back! Thank you so much, Renee! You are a wonderful host!

This cottage is so cozy and comfortable. The thought and care put into this home away from home are evident. Tucked away on a magical mountainside property, it really offers the perfect escape from your everyday life. We loved exploring the trails, watching the chickens, and stargazing. We have saved Renee's cottage for future vacations and hope to come back!

This cabin was everything we wanted and more. Secluded little space with chickens running around the yard, out in the middle of nowhere. Clean, decorated so adorably, with the nicest people renting it out! Absolutely loved our stay here!

Lovely farm, so peaceful and just what you need if your looking to relax. Property is very clean and well maintained, up to date and the bed is so comfy! Order breakfast if you can and buy some farm fresh eggs! Chickens are entertaining to watch. Open your window and listen to the crickets at night. Wifi is excellent if you need it. Go to the creek and relax on the bench. I definitely will be back.

The property was beautiful and the cabin very comfortable. Renee's cooking was delicious and so worth it. We woke up with the chickens and were able to take a wonderful walk along the creek in the back of the property before it rained. Could not recommend thia property more.

We were only able to stay two nights and it wasn't long enough. The host lived close by, but respected our privacy. The cabin was comfortable and we did need anything. The sound of the running water echoed throughout the little valley.

This was our second time staying in the the picturesque little house in the farm and it’s really everything you could want. It’s so clean and well maintained, the style is incredibly cute, and the whole vibe of the place is cozy. Easy check in and check out with great communication. Also this time I was able to purchase some of the eggs this time and they are amazing. Also for a city girl it’s so cool to kind of know the hens that made them haha all in all this place always feels welcoming without feeling overbearing. It’s quiet and you feel so safe sitting outside in the pitch dark looking at all the stars. 10 out of 10 once again

Beautiful surroundings and wonderful host. The furniture desperately needs to be replaced though. There are two places to sit: a couch and a recliner. The recliner is so worn that we sat on springs, especially on the left side. The lack of cushioning causes you to tumble to the middle of the couch. Even the reclining chair was rough. The microwave turntable doesn’t turn, otherwise the kitchen was well furnished and nice.

Lovely natural setting, the cabin is so well decorated, couldn't be cleaner, and the clucking neighbors made it the most charming! A sore ankle from so much hiking prevented us from exploring the property this visit. Certainly, we'll return!

This place is very special. The cottage aesthetic is done so beautifully from floor to ceiling, every detail was chosen so well by Renee. Bathroom and kitchen were perfectly clean, with laundry conveniently located in the bathroom. From the windows you get a partial Mountain View, with the chickens that walk about the property, very charming. We decided to order the breakfast one day per the guest book recommendation, and it did not disappoint! If you are looking for a small cozy cottage to rest in, while you’re visiting the Blue Ridge Parkway or Boone, this sweet little place was lovely and we would go back again.

My wife and I spent the weekend here and absolutely enjoyed our stay. The cottage has a very comfortable feel with rustic wood finishes throughout which contributes to its coziness. The place is equipped with anything you would need for your stay. For us, it is always a plus to get to meet a welcoming host and Renee didn’t disappoint. She is a wonderful, kind, down-to-earth person who takes great pride in her place and she makes sure you have everything you need without being intrusive. Her optional breakfast was delicious. If you are a breakfast person, you don’t want to miss it. Getting to the site is a breeze and it only took about 25 minutes to make it to Boone. There is television and good Wi-Fi plus we had three bars of Verizon signal.

This cute cottage on the farm is honestly the perfect place for someone looking to find the best quiet spot to getaway from hustle and bustle. Whether alone or with a partner it’s got such a cozy vibe and you also feel very safe being close to the big house. I also really appreciated the location as it was so easy to hit the trails or drive to picturesque Boone. The rooster being the alarm clock in the morning is now a fave things of mine lol really everything you need and the bed alone is worth it! Renee was very attentive and checked in everyday through the app which I really was grateful for. Only wish we had time in our busy mornings to try the breakfast 😭next time for sure!

The rooster being the alarm clock in the morning is now a fave things of mine lol really everything you need and the bed alone is worth it! Renee was very attentive and checked in everyday through the app which I really was grateful for. Only wish we had time in our busy mornings to try the breakfast 😭next time for sure!

My brothers and I booked this for my parents for a quick anniversary getaway and from my perspective, everything went smoothly in booking and communication. From my parents perspective, they absolutely loved it. They said it was very comfortable, peaceful and relaxing and loved loved the breakfast. Couldn’t be more pleased

The property is well maintained. Quiet, clean, and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable and the cabin had everything we needed. The property owner, Renee, is a delight and a wonderful chef. Don't skip the breakfast she offers. She was very helpful in making recommendations. Many wonderful hiking options around. We would stay again if we were in the area.

It was a true blessing to find Renee and her lovely Enchanted Cottage. The accommodations were excellent and her attention to the smallest details made our stay just perfect. Breakfast was delicious!! We could not have found a better place to relax and unwind. We were near enough to Boone and West Jefferson to visit those areas without being near heavy traffic. It was just right!! Thank you, Renee and “crew” for everything.

Great area to discover, and we even stretched out to Mt Airy to see Mayberry! The cabin is so nice and just adorable with everything you could need. You won’t be disappointed with this rental! PS you will love the chickens!

My husband and I wanted a quiet getaway to relax, explore unfamiliar mountain sites, and celebrate our anniversary. Renee’s cottage was the perfect setting. Her property was just as inviting as described. The stream with walking path and bench started our visit off right. Watching the chickens while sipping a beverage on the deck ended our day serenely. The location is convenient to the excursions we planned. Renee’s breakfast was even better than expected and she is absolutely delightful! We highly recommend staying at this lovely cottage..

My wife and I spent the weekend here and absolutely enjoyed our stay. The cottage has a very comfortable feel with rustic wood finishes throughout which contributes to its coziness. The place is equipped with anything you would need for your stay. For us, it is always a plus to get to meet a welcoming host and Renee didn’t disappoint. She is a wonderful, kind, down-to-earth person who takes great pride in her place and she makes sure you have everything you need without being intrusive. Her optional breakfast was delicious. If you are a breakfast person, you don’t want to miss it. Getting to the site is a breeze and it only took about 25 minutes to make it to Boone. There is television and good Wi-Fi plus we had three bars of Verizon signal.

This cottage is so cozy and comfortable. The thought and care put into this home away from home are evident. Tucked away on a magical mountainside property, it really offers the perfect escape from your everyday life. We loved exploring the trails, watching the chickens, and stargazing. We have saved Renee's cottage for future vacations and hope to come back!

From the windows you get a partial Mountain View, with the chickens that walk about the property, very charming. We decided to order the breakfast one day per the guest book recommendation, and it did not disappoint! If you are looking for a small cozy cottage to rest in, while you’re visiting the Blue Ridge Parkway or Boone, this sweet little place was lovely and we would go back again.

Wish we had planned to stay longer! This was our second visit and we’ll be back! We love the privacy, quiet, beautiful surroundings of the cabin! Everything was so pleasant especially all of the beautiful flowers and the cool, beautiful hike along the bubbling stream. Renee is a wonderful hostess and her breakfasts are delicious! Highly recommend!

The cabin was exactly as advertised, both by Rene and by the reviews. The atmosphere was rustic, yet clean, comfortable and inspiring joy. I could imagine the fun Rene had and decorating. The large deck as an outside room overlooking the gardens and chickens,was a bonus for sunrise tai chi. While my arthritis and traveling body didn’t allow me to take full advantage of the hiking, The sound of the creek lured me as far as the bridge and was worthy of a sketch. I had different breakfasts both days which were packed with goodness. Would highly recommend. I was seeking respite for my body and soul and I got exactly that, so I can go home refreshed.

Order breakfast if you can and buy some farm fresh eggs! Chickens are entertaining to watch. Open your window and listen to the crickets at night. Wifi is excellent if you need it. I stayed there with my girlfriend for 3 days. It was such a great experience, the place is beautiful for walking around and the cabin is crazy well equipped. Rene is such an awesome host that also cooks awesome !!! The breakfast and cinnamon rolls were out of this world. Everything was so perfect. The place is great also for working in case you need to. Also location is great.

The property was beautiful and the cabin very comfortable. Renee's cooking was delicious and so worth it. We woke up with the chickens and were able to take a wonderful walk along the creek in the back of the property before it rained. Could not recommend thia property more.

I went for a solo retreat and found the atmosphere in and outside the cabin to be of comfort and peace. Beautiful interior design and well thought out. I had everything I needed and also took advantage of the homemade breakfast! I absolutely loved my stay and would definitely recommend.

Really cannot ever say enough about how lovely and perfect this place is for us. So cozy, well maintained and Renee is always very helpful and available when needed. The farm is a dream and in a great location for our hiking needs. We have been three times now and each one has been the best time to ever!
