House was clean upon arrival, but we were jarred that the plush leather couches represented in the photos weren't there - they'd been replaced with other upholstered ones. Furniture bait and switch didn't feel good. Fireplace details of the reservation told us to bring only kindling because firewood would be provided - but it was firewood stored outdoors and it had rained all week - so that was a bust since it was all soaked. And this is especially offensive because a pellet stove is the only upstairs heating - so all of a sudden we were out another $100 on wood for our four night stay. Kitchen was poorly equipped - no dishrack to dry dishes or scrubber to get scrambled eggs off a pan - seems like they didn't expect us to cook. I email alerted Vacasa immediately upon our arrival about these deficiencies (a phone call made at the same time to the local office went to a line with no voicemail set up, just rang forever), and didn't get an email reply for two days. Then I was told a local rep would reach out ... which happened another two days later, and while I missed that call I returned with two voicemails spread over four days - but still no one has called back and I'm sick of chasing them. I would leave a less harsh review if not for this lack of effort by customer service. Very disappointing, as I've been coming to Sea Ranch for 40 years, and this was the worst experience I've had up there. Hot tub was clean and functioned well. Would not recommend this house, would not recommend Vacasa, and will say for the price we paid - this was a rip off.
