Villa del Palmar Beach Resort and Spa - All Inclusive

Just left with family of 5 and first time with Villa del Parmar. Resort is very walkable. Elevators are fast and no line ups at restaurants. Very well staffed in kitchen and wait staff and entertainment staff was great for our 8 and 12 year old. Portions of protein was huge - think of sharing mains if you have little ones. Food quality was a pleasant surprise. One highlight was the "pest control" staff which included a hawk! It was trained to chase away the pigeons and crows... which were very clever and ate from yoir plate the moment you stepped away. The other was the Michael Jackson impersonator - amazing dance moves and singing. Huge thanks to Ignacio (omelette station) and the entertainment crew - Charly, Ely, Mar and Paco! 7 days is a perfect length of stay and the Uber to downtown was a nice option .

Our first room on the ground floor of the main building smelt strongly on damp, as did the second. We were finally moved to a room on the fifth floor, which didn't smell damp. All three rooms were dated, with various marks/stains on bed headboards, lampshades, bathrooms walls, etc. Restaurant and pool areas were generally pleasant and well maintained. Frustratingly, people are up early to reserve deck chairs/loungers (both pool and beach). You're lucky to find two free if arriving after 7am - the vast vast majority are unused, but are 'reserved' with towels, bags, books.

The staff, amenities, activities,, location were so great!

Great place to stay! All inclusive option was excellent and the variety of the restaurants (room service also included!!!) and bar service/options were perfect. Family friendly activities during day and evening, quiet at 11pm was most appreciated! Temperature was perfect and the towels were new, fluffy and very clean! A great resort with everything!

The hotel needs a major renovation. Bathrooms are very old. Elevators did not work. We had an all inclusive access. On average waited for food for 45 mins plus. Staff is friendly enough and so their best. But they short staffed. Most nights, only 1-2 restaurants out of 5 are working. The crepe bar is a joke. I would not recommend it to anyone unless it’s super discounted stay.
