This property is a quaint older home that the owners have turned into a stylish mix of retro and boho. Stayed here with my adult daughter one night on our way through Joplin. Beds were comfortable and the host provided all the basics in the bathroom and kitchen. It is located in a typical older neighborhood close to the heart of Joplins original downtown. Highly recommend eating at The Onion restaurant that is close by.

I booked the jungle cottage to stay at while I was visiting family and friends in Joplin. The cottage is bright and clean, super cute, cozy and just perfect all around! David the host has thought of everything including the little touches! The shower is warm, the bed is really comfortable and the kitchen is functional. The kitchen might be my favorite part of the house! The pictures DO the home justice, which is rare compared to other homes in the area. I’ll be staying here again when I come back to Joplin. Highly recommended you stay here too! Thanks again David your home is designed for a perfect stay!

My old neighborhood, so I was biased. Frankly, the north end south of the old Columbia School is in poor shape. However, the unit captures in a contemporary form the feel of post-WWII Joplin. Great hosts. Super hot water. Big kitchen. Current gen HDTV and internet. What else could you want.

The property was incredible! As soon as you walk in you’re transported to another time it feels like. From the retro fridge to the incredibly well thought out décor, there is an immense amount to be in awe of! Every detail from the bathroom sink to the kitchen utensils had me looking forward to discovering more. Very clean and cozy and the kids and I enjoyed the board games available. Fun activities within 15-20 minutes that we enjoyed were Bonnie & Clyde’s old apartment hideout, the tri-state MO-KS-OK marker, seeing the buffalo and the Slime cafe!

This is a cute little home in an older neighborhood. There are some cracks in the sidewalk, and on the walkway. There’s a cute little porch with seating. It has an easy-to-use front door keypad. And the house is clean with two bedrooms with very comfortable beds, that share a bathroom between the two bedrooms. This rental also has an adequate kitchen and has a nice laundry room with good washer and dryer. Large dining area and front room. Where the TV has cable and other platforms to watch. My daughter and I stayed there and felt perfectly safe. We were mother and grandmother visiting our grandson who lives just two blocks from there. So the location for us was very good. The host responded right away when I wanted to bring my grandson and his wife over for cake. He okayed it right away. Also, it seems to have a nice backyard, but we didn’t use it.

We loved the style of the place. It was very well renovated and designed. Everything in the place matched the asthetic. They maintained the old characteristics of the home while making it stylish and updated as well. Interesting older neighborhood. Very clean. Very simple check in and check out. Great place!

We wanted a low key weekend, and this spot was perfect!! So cute. We did have a phantom chirping we couldn’t find and a little wasp nest on the porch, but when communicated, they assured would be taken care of promptly. Loved the recommendations and how close we were to downtown.

Only stayed one night. House was exceptionally clean. Quiet (except for the train sound in the front bedroom). Neighborhood is good. Parking is on the street. I like the mid-century look and beds are very comfortable. Low water pressure in shower, but nice and hot. It is average facility.Please ask the care taker to clean the dust in the sit out and entrance avoiding cobweb nets etc....Inside the room is okay, but the stink of the old aged rooms is like someone not used very much.

The Ivy Jungalow was the perfect place to stay for our low-key, quiet weekend. The house is spotless inside and decorated in such a cute and comfortable way. The area was quiet and a good home base for us to drive to destinations we had in both Bentonville and Springfield. I would definitely stay here again!

Only stayed one night. House was exceptionally clean. Quiet (except for the train sound in the front bedroom). Neighborhood is good. Parking is on the street. I like the mid-century look and beds are very comfortable. Low water pressure in shower, but nice and hot. The owner was quick to respond to messages and I like that there is an alarm for peace of mind at night. Absolutely would recommend especially for a longer stay.

This property is a quaint older home that the owners have turned into a stylish mix of retro and boho. Stayed here with my adult daughter one night on our way through Joplin. Beds were comfortable and the host provided all the basics in the bathroom and kitchen. It is located in a typical older neighborhood close to the heart of Joplins original downtown. Highly recommend eating at The Onion restaurant that is close by.

This is a cute little home in an older neighborhood. There are some cracks in the sidewalk, and on the walkway. There’s a cute little porch with seating. It has an easy-to-use front door keypad. And the house is clean with two bedrooms with very comfortable beds, that share a bathroom between the two bedrooms. This rental also has an adequate kitchen and has a nice laundry room with good washer and dryer. Large dining area and front room. Where the TV has cable and other platforms to watch. My daughter and I stayed there and felt perfectly safe. We were mother and grandmother visiting our grandson who lives just two blocks from there. So the location for us was very good. The host responded right away when I wanted to bring my grandson and his wife over for cake. He okayed it right away. Also, it seems to have a nice backyard, but we didn’t use it.

We wanted a low key weekend, and this spot was perfect!! So cute. We did have a phantom chirping we couldn’t find and a little wasp nest on the porch, but when communicated, they assured would be taken care of promptly. Loved the recommendations and how close we were to downtown.

The Ivy Jungalow was the perfect place to stay for our low-key, quiet weekend. The house is spotless inside and decorated in such a cute and comfortable way. The area was quiet and a good home base for us to drive to destinations we had in both Bentonville and Springfield. I would definitely stay here again!

This property is misrepresented and the photos and listing details are inaccurate. The decor is cute but it is lipstick on a pig. The lights went out less than an hour after we arrived due to a blown breaker. That is a fire hazard. Couch was broken. Curtains were torn, wouldn't close. Keurig was nasty and unusable. The wifi is slow. The location and neighborhood is questionable with junk yards, condemned homes and people loitering on the sidewalks. Dangerous street parking asking for a car to be side-swiped. Wife was extremely rude, pushy and intimidating when calling my personal phone and disregarding my safety concerns. I would not recommend if you value your privacy and want reasonable accommodations like electricity and maybe a clean cup of coffee. Absolute disappointing and traumatizing experience and an official complaint has been registered.
