Hearthstone East Cottage

Lovely cottage of interest with loads of space, just a 15 minute trot to the harbour and Town centre restaurants, ahops and facilities.

Size of property good although a bit tired, location as stated (up hill most of the way) communication with owner okay, frustrated with additional costs but all in all a nice break.

Dont bother, this house was a nighmare, not only did the host cancel my last day of my holiday with out asking she also allowed a family of five to stay in a house that wasnt clean, the bathroom had mould, she had her own food in the fridge and the freezer, she told me i could use the beer fridge upstairs, she had clutter everywhere, the stairs are incredibly steep and the handrail up the stairs was broken she then tried to charge me for this saying she stayed there the week before and there was nothing wrong! the mirrored wardrobes where broken i was to scared to open them incase they fell on me , the small wardrobe in the second bedroom was also falling apart, the bed are very uncomfortable, there was cat hair everywhere, has her own toiletries in the cupboards, fridge smelt bad, camera in the corner of front room. that was turned off! Flooring not layed properly, wallpaper ripped, remote control wasnt working from day one and also tried to charge me for this, one minute the hottub was £60 then it was £90. Was told to take out the rubbish to the outside bins but they were full, send crappy messages harassing messages during our stay, has completely ruined my holiday , parking ridiculous, and the only reason i didnt complain sooner was because i couldnt get through to hotels.com took me 3 days, and the host cannot communicate very well so didnt complain directly to her! i want a full refund. This host will not except any responsibility and will blame you so be careful.
