We really enjoyed our stay here. It is centrally located between Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake.

We showed up in the evening to a unit with a dirty toilet, towels, sinks, stove, dirty linens still on beds etc.. We tried to contact the host to no avail. Since it was late and the only communication we had from him was a PDF emailed a month earlier that detailed unit rules and where cleaning supplies were, we decided to just clean up a bit while we waited for his response. Two hours later I had to ask the resort admin for the owner's number since he still hadn't responded. He answered and said he'd been out of cell range but that he'd since got my message and learned that his cleaning crew missed our unit (she called as well and showed up an hour later to collect the linens since it was night and we'd already cleaned.) I asked him for a refund and specifically brought up the cleaning fee. He apologized and assured us he'd take care of it. He didn't. Two weeks later I reached out again and more pointedly asked for a cleaning fee and partial day refund for the time we spent cleaning his income property, giving him a chance to redeem a miscommunication error, and he said he'd refund the cleaning fee "as discussed and agreed". I asked again for the cleaning fee and partial day refund and have never hear from him since...3 months later. **I would not recommend renting from this owner at this or his other 4 units at Sherkston Shores.** This was our first poor VRBO experience and hopefully last. The resort was great though, especially for kids.

The table in patio area was nice and loved the family room with lots of seating. The refridgerator was making load noises off and on, very annoying.

Signage could be lot better. Cottage was good but close for vineyard so could hear air guns go off frequently. Location was great close to shopping or the falls without being in the crowds. Owner was great to answer questions and get back to me promptly.
