Parkside Cottage is great and just as advertised. Great location steps from the trailhead. The best stocked place I’ve ever stayed. It has everything you need right down to bandaids, batteries, pens, even extra toothbrushes and toothpaste! If you’re a cook it has sharp knives and everything you need in the kitchen. The fenced yard is great for kids or pets to play. The patio with the fire table was lovely to relax. Host is readily available for any issues. Excellent value and we would stay again on our next trip to the Comox Valley.

Andrea and Scott have a cozy, welcoming cottage with everything you might need for a family stay. We were in town for a family reunion with four adults. Five-star comfort and tranquility. Loved the outside sitting area and table fireplace.

From the initial contact through to check-out, our experience at Parkside Cottage was exceptional. All the little touches were there including fully equipped kitchen with an assortment of staple items supplied, bathroom with plenty of towels, bedrooms with plenty of storage and comfy beds. The outdoor areas were great too with a covered porch and a patio with gas BBQ. The proximity to Seal Bay Park (trail entrance right next door), the airport, and the relative closeness of Courtney make this an ideal property to stay at. The hosts do their best to make this property the best that we have ever stayed in!

VRBO listing accurate. Did not have time to explore the pathway beside the cottage which intrigued me but the visit was spent with family time. Cottage is well equipped and beautifully decorated. Cozy with lots of blankets and pillows useful on cool nights sitting outside beside the propane fire pit under the stars which we enjoyed. Hosts quickly responded to questions accommodating special request. Quiet dead end street in ideal country setting yet only minutes to town.

This property was amazing !! It was near a few hiking and biking trails .It had a fantastic outdoor firepit with comfy chairs. The inside was beautiful. You could buy farm eggs next door. The owner was very responsive to our questions. Definitely a hidden Pearl !!!! Would definitely choose to go back

We had a wonderful time at the Parkside Cottage. We traveled with our toddler and small dog, and felt right at home. The cottage was well equipped and kid friendly. The fenced yard was great for our dog and toddler to run around. The location is right beside the Seal Bay Park trailhead, which had wonderful trails. I highly recommend this property!

The house was really lovely and like new. Nicely appointed with any kitchen gadget you could need and the overall amenities were great. We had our dog with us and it was wonderful having a fully enclosed lot around the house. It’s next door to a gorgeous trail system in the forest with access to Seal Bay park. We’ll definitely stay again!

We had a relaxing and “peaceful” stay at Andrea and Scott’s cottage in early October. It’s in great condition and very tastefully decorated. The beds and the sofa were very comfy and the kitchen was one of the best we’ve been in as a rental. We enjoyed being beside one of the trailheads for Seal Bay park. We also really appreciated having a fully fenced yard for our dog ! although we didn’t leave her alone out there. That is so hard to find in rentals. Andrea was very responsive and we enjoyed trying the eggs from their hens. Good location. We enjoyed seeing the pink salmon spawning in the Tsolem river about a 15 min drive away. Would love to return for another stay!

This cottage is bright, spacious, very clean and well laid out with all the amenities one could want. It’s easy to find and check-in is a breeze. The property is quiet and at night there’s no city lights to obstruct star gazing. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again.

The house was very well stocked and supplied. It had everything that we could possible need and want. A highlight of our stay was the easy access to the trail just steps away which our dog loved. During our stay, the temperatures were lower than they had been previously due to some rainy weather (around 23C) which we were thankful for as we found the cottage got very warm. The windows that had screens (not all were screened) we had opened fully. Even then, there was not great airflow and evenings were on the warmer side. I suspect that in warmer weather (anything above 25C), the cottage would be uncomfortable to stay in. I think air conditioning would have made the stay perfect. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay immensely.

We were lucky to come across this great cottage in a lovely area of Vancouver Island. It is spacious and very well equipped; Parkside has everything you may need. And the location is very handy to Courtenay and Comox; a great area for exploring. We had Shaka, our ridgeback with us, and the fact that the cottage is right on the doorstep to one of the entrances of a large park (Seal Bay Nature Park) which has fabulous trails both on-leash and off-leash (except April through June) was such a bonus! It was lovely to meet Andrea, such a friendly host! We have no hesitation in recommending Parkside Cottage, just a lovely place to stay and we do hope to return!!

The cottage is in a great location especially if you like a peaceful and tranquil place to stay. It’s next to a forest. There are some lovely walking paths through the forest and one of them takes you to Seal Bay Cove, which is lovely. Property is well maintained. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking apparel, utensils and cleaning products. Plenty of room to sleep six. Towels and amenities are provided. A lot of thought was put into setting up this cottage. The beds and the sofa were very comfy and the kitchen was one of the best we’ve been in as a rental. We enjoyed being beside one of the trailheads for Seal Bay park. We also really appreciated having a fully fenced yard for our dog ! although we didn’t leave her alone out there. That is so hard to find in rentals. Andrea was very responsive and we enjoyed trying the eggs from their hens. Good location. We enjoyed seeing the pink salmon spawning in the Tsolem river about a 15 min drive away. Would love to return for another stay!
We had a relaxing and “peaceful” stay at Andrea and Scott’s cottage in early October. It’s in great condition and very tastefully decorated. All the little touches were there including fully equipped kitchen with an assortment of staple items supplied, bathroom with plenty of towels, bedrooms with plenty of storage and comfy beds. The outdoor areas were great too with a covered porch and a patio with gas BBQ. The proximity to Seal Bay Park (trail entrance right next door), the airport, and the relative closeness of Courtney make this an ideal property to stay at. The hosts do their best to make this property the best that we have ever stayed in!

Cozy with lots of blankets and pillows useful on cool nights sitting outside beside the propane fire pit under the stars which we enjoyed. This is the perfect location! It’s peaceful, quiet and clean with fast internet which allowed us to get some serious work done! The hosts were incredibly kind and responsive to any questions we had. The walking trails right out the front door are absolutely stunning as well. I would highly recommend staying here!

This property was amazing !! It was near a few hiking and biking trails .It had a fantastic outdoor firepit with comfy chairs. The inside was beautiful. You could buy farm eggs next door. The owner was very responsive to our questions. Definitely a hidden Pearl !!!! Would definitely choose to go back

We were lucky to come across this great cottage in a lovely area of Vancouver Island. It is spacious and very well equipped; Parkside has everything you may need. And the location is very handy to Courtenay and Comox; a great area for exploring. We had Shaka, our ridgeback with us, and the fact that the cottage is right on the doorstep to one of the entrances of a large park (Seal Bay Nature Park) which has fabulous trails both on-leash and off-leash (except April through June) was such a bonus! It was lovely to meet Andrea, such a friendly host! We have no hesitation in recommending Parkside Cottage, just a lovely place to stay and we do hope to return!!

The whole experience was awesome. The cottage was well stocked, clean and ready for us when we arrived. I would without a doubt recommend this vacation spot to others. Enjoyed the trail next to the property, enjoyed meeting the owners, great folks. Will do this again in the future.

This lovely, quiet cottage is situated on a cul de sac. Two steps from the property is the entrance to Seal Bay Nature Park. The cottage is modern and well equipped. The hosts have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. Everything from cookware to bedding is top notch quality. I will come back again and again. Thank you.

I rented the cottage to visit our daughter who lives on the island and celebrate my wife’s birthday. The cottage was perfect. The location was what we were looking for. Lots of trails for biking and hiking which we enjoyed. Short walk to the ocean where we seen seals every day. The cottage had everything we needed and more. Andrea was a great host.

The cottage is in a great location especially if you like a peaceful and tranquil place to stay. It’s next to a forest. There are some lovely walking paths through the forest and one of them takes you to Seal Bay Cove, which is lovely. Property is well maintained. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking apparel, utensils and cleaning products. Plenty of room to sleep six. Towels and amenities are provided. A lot of thought was put into setting up this cottage. It’s a 10-15 minute drive to Comox or Courtney. Everything you need can be found in either location. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. The hosts were very attentive and replied quickly to any questions we had. Would definitely stay there again!

All in all a great time was had by my wife and I. The location, next to Seal Bay Park, was just steps away and made for many a fun dog walk.Our hosts were extremely responsive which added to the experience.

My husband and I were both thrilled with the beauty, comfort and tranquility of this cottage. The inside is spacious, tastefully decorated, and well stocked with quality linens and kitchen supplies. The beds are very comfortable with the choice of soft and firm pillows.The outdoor space is peaceful and relaxing after walking the numerous “backyard trails” in Seal Bay park. Grocery and restaurant options are plentiful in nearby Courtenay and Comox. We hope to come again!
