The cottage is a little dated and can use some love, but has a well equipped kitchen, gas grill with propane, and a jacuzzi tub in the master for when its too cold to use the hot tub. The outdoor hot tub is 2 steps from the door on a covered deck. Plenty of towels provided. And the indoor fireplace was lovely to use while we watched it snow through the pines.

This was a great place to be...super-close to Mohican State Park. A nice retreat after a day hiking, biking, sightseeing. The hot tub was the centerpiece! Kitchen had everything we need. Property is nicely maintained. Would definitely come back!

We stayed at the cabin with our two dogs. The property was very clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and there were a lot of entertainment options like a hot tub, fire, pit, grill, pool table. It was secluded enough to feel like we were in the middle of no where with a beautiful forest in the back, but had easy access to Mohican state park. Highly recommend.

The hot tub was nice and hot and not too far from the sliding door to go back inside on a cold night. Lots of towels provided. Liked that we could be in the hot tub and the fire was nearby. Beds were very comfortable. Close to all the places we wanted to visit.

The Cabin was very nice.We really enjoyed our short 3 day stay.The time flew by.The fire pit and Hot Tub was totally relaxing !Really liked it had 2 full bathrooms also.The Cabin was very roomy and comfortable. Had everything you needed.The owner Drew was very nice and responsive.I will definitely Book there again ! Hopefully for longer next time.😊 I highly recommend Booking this Cabin with Drew ! Betty Phillips 😊

We had a great time with our family over the Thanksgiving holiday in this sucluded A Frame house. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. The beds were clean and comfortable. It was nice staying at a place with plenty of towels and toilet paper... too often these items are over looked. We wpuod stay again.

We are in our 60s and enjoyed a getaway weekend. We spent three nights in this very clean comfortable cabin. The hot tub is exceptional and perfectly situated on a covered deck. Kitchen was very well stocked. Bedrooms generous sized and provide privacy for the two couples. Very easy to find and close to shopping and things to do.

I took my mother, two children, and chihuahua for a couple night stay. We were all very pleased with the property. It was clean and felt like a home away from home. The host went the extra mile and made sure there was everything there we could have possibly needed had we forgot something. The location couldn't have been more convenient. Great host and property.

Nice piece of property with a log cabin feel on the outside. Inside the house had trouble with mice and ants. Mouse droppings in our box with our food. So many ants got into our breakfast food that we had to throw it out. Holes in the floors where the registers were at one time were carpeted over so you had to be careful in certain areas of the rooms. Huge bathroom but very tiny shower in the master. Dead bugs in all the window sills. I’m not sure who’s cleaning but they need to be shown how to clean. Overall though, slept well and enjoyed the hot tub every night.

We enjoyed our stay, the property had everything we needed, loved the hot tub. Only negitive we experienced was the loft had tons of flies. We could not find how they had gotten in and they were only in the loft.

Had to go buy air fresheners before we could even think about staying in the cottage. Stains all over the carpet, smells of urine, grill not sure has ever been cleaned caught on fire while we tried to use it had to go get something to eat. We stay in many cabins and always come back this will not be the case for this one. First time i used vrbo not sure i will do that again. Husband and i never get the chance to go just the 2 of us. We was looking forward to this, sad no one would have taken care of these problems. They are very obvious ones.

This is a double wide mobile home modified to look like a rustic cabin. They've done a good job with this but it remains a mobile home with the features you'd expect. It is clean and fairly well maintained but doesn't have the character I'd hoped to find in a cabin. There were some housekeeping issues, as follows: fingerprints and hand smudges on the TV screen and door leading to the deck, hot tub water cloudy and foamy, soft floor in parts of home with a hole in the hallway floor (covered by carpet). There is also a distinct odor upon entering the main door. I spoke to the property manager about the tub and he did send someone to address the cloudy water but it remained cloudy after the treatment. All this being said, the home was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

Property was exactly as advertised. On a busy road with road noise but quaint with a rustic feel. No cell service other than Wi-Fi. Wife had to run to town (2miles) to check her work phone but we had to a great time.

Pros: All amenities were in working order. Grill worked well. Hot tub was clean. Living room was spacious. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking items. Cons: Property had A LOT of minor damage and poor repair work. Hot tub was a stone throw away from a busy road. Bathtub was cracked and grimy. Cellar doors on the side of cabin looked old and creepy. Overall: We enjoyed our stay but were looking for a nicer indoor space for a winter trip. If you have pets or will be spending a lot of time away from the cabin, this might be a good bargain for you. I would not stay here again.

My wife and I had a great weekend at the Rustic Chalet. The location is great, and it is very private and secluded, yet convenient to everything in Mohican.Don't let the term rustic fool you. It is a beautiful and very comfortable cabin. The views from the windows are beautiful and relaxing. THe owners obviously take a lot of pride in this property. The cabin was well supplied with everything needed for a great stay. Plenty of towels, blankets, kitchen utensils etc. The hot tub was very relaxing. It was a little cold and rainy so we did not use the firepit, but we plan to come and stay here again some day and will hope to be able to use it. It is very well set up, and would be a really good time.If I was going to buy a cabin in the area, this is exactly what I would aim for. We are looking forward to stayiying here again. The host was excellent, and quickly answered any questions we had. Check in couldn't have been easier.

Nice little property. Pretty outdated but it sounds like they are going to renovate this winter. Property owner was quick to respond when we had an issue and it was taken care of almost immediately. the only drawback was that it is fairly close to a busy road and there is quite a bit of traffic noise when you are outside.

Going in February I knew Ohio weather can change in a day so I picked something closer to a main road, being partly my choice I can't complain too much about the road noise but there is some. Listing did not say whether the fireplace was wood or gas, so we did not come prepared for wood burning, but the gas stations down the road had cut wood for sale. Some cons, floor is soft in some spots, but looked like repairs were being planned, and possibly a small hot water tank. Tried to fill the jacuzzi tub and ran out of hot water. Other than those couple things it was a very good stay and the place was clean. We will be back and maybe try the cabin that is off the road more.

The location was perfect. Check in was easy. The property owner was prompt and courteous. The beds were comfortable but the pillows could use replacing. We had what we needed in the kitchen to prepare meals. The house could use some updating but that’s minor. We would stay there again.

We booked this trip last minute to celebrate our engagement. Being winter in Ohio, the weather conditions were unfavorable. Drew reached out to make sure I knew 4-wheel drive was a must to get up the driveway and offered to switch our weekend to another open weekend if we didnt want to travel during the bad weather. He made sure the drive was as clear as possible before our arrival and to let him know if we had any issues. The driveway is steep and can be icy in spots but if you take your time and have 4 wheel drive youll be fine. I gave a 4 on cleanliness because there were some dead bugs around but I feel like thats to be expected because youre in the middle of the woods. Would definitely stay again! We had a great time celebrating.

We booked this stay to get away from the craziness of our lives! But I didn’t know was that I was going to have an unexpected surgery right before our vacation. This stay was such a blessing that allowed me the time to rest and recover and allow my family the time to play outdoors and me the peaceful recovery that I needed! Everything was wonderful! The cabin was clean. And all communication was prompt!

My wife and I had a great weekend at the Rustic Chalet. The location is great, and it is very private and secluded, yet convenient to everything in Mohican.Don't let the term rustic fool you. It is a beautiful and very comfortable cabin. The views from the windows are beautiful and relaxing. THe owners obviously take a lot of pride in this property. The cabin was well supplied with everything needed for a great stay. Plenty of towels, blankets, kitchen utensils etc. The hot tub was very relaxing. It was a little cold and rainy so we did not use the firepit, but we plan to come and stay here again some day and will hope to be able to use it. It is very well set up, and would be a really good time.If I was going to buy a cabin in the area, this is exactly what I would aim for. We are looking forward to stayiying here again. The host was excellent, and quickly answered any questions we had. Check in couldn't have been easier.

Cabin is very cute & is accurately described in the listing; we very much enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. Our only feedback, which is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that the supplies felt very "bare bones". Things like spray oil for cooking, an ice cube tray, body wash, and extra blankets/throw blankets for living room area should be supplied IMO (especially since bedding comforters are extremely thin). That in combination of the many many stern "reminders" on signs all over the property or in check-in messages of the various ways one will be charged a fine or lose their deposit was a bit off putting.

The Cabin was very nice.We really enjoyed our short 3 day stay.The time flew by.The fire pit and Hot Tub was totally relaxing !Really liked it had 2 full bathrooms also.The Cabin was very roomy and comfortable. Had everything you needed.The owner Drew was very nice and responsive.I will definitely Book there again ! Hopefully for longer next time.😊 I highly recommend Booking this Cabin with Drew ! The location was perfect. Check in was easy. The property owner was prompt and courteous. The beds were comfortable but the pillows could use replacing. We had what we needed in the kitchen to prepare meals. The house could use some updating but that’s minor. We would stay there again.

Drew is an amazing host. The house was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit, and how close to all trails for hiking.

This was a great place to be...super-close to Mohican State Park. A nice retreat after a day hiking, biking, sightseeing. The hot tub was the centerpiece! Kitchen had everything we need. Property is nicely maintained. Would definitely come back!

We stayed at the cabin with our two dogs. The property was very clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and there were a lot of entertainment options like a hot tub, fire, pit, grill, pool table. It was secluded enough to feel like we were in the middle of no where with a beautiful forest in the back, but had easy access to Mohican state park. Highly recommend.

Nice little property. Pretty outdated but it sounds like they are going to renovate this winter. Property owner was quick to respond when we had an issue and it was taken care of almost immediately. the only drawback was that it is fairly close to a busy road and there is quite a bit of traffic noise when you are outside.

Relaxing week among the pines, wonderful stay, hot tub, fire ring, and chalet were just perfect. All the things to do near by. Loudonvill, Mansfield, the Ohio State Reformatory, Mohican State Park, and Malabar Farm!!!

Perfect spot for a midweek getaway. Private enough to feel like we’re tucked away, but only a short drive to town for supplies or adventures. The stairs are steep, watch your head, and the pillows a bit flat, but the kitchen was well stocked with cookware, the fire pit was perfect, the view was refreshing.enjoyed some pool practice, bird watching, and listening to the rain on the roof. :)

The house was as described and clean, especially considering the wooded area it is in. They pretty much thought of everything. Separate towels for the hot tub and showers, an offering of different seasonings and such to cook with. Tons of pots, pans, dishes and glasses. Full-size kitchen appliances and a gas grill outside. Plenty of room to roam. The owners did a good job communicating and making sure you have all the information you need. It was worth the expense over some of the other area cabins. It felt more like a home than a cabin. Very comfortable!
