The lodge is in great condition, well maintained and clean. The owner stocked it with so many useful things, including kitchen spices, a vacuum cleaner, binoculars, and so many board games and outdoor toys. Very thoughtful and made it feel like home. Absolutely would recommend to families. The large screened in porch was a blessing, as there were unfortunately many mosquitos in late August.

Great location, very responsive host. Property was well cared for, large yard, large bedrooms. The downstairs suite was perfect for adult offspring. Walkout to hot tub, fire pit, yard games if you have them. Probably the best vrbo ever.

We stayed at Jackson's Lodge for about a week for a skiing vacation. The layout worked great for us - 2 bedrooms & 1 bathroom on the main floor for a party of 4 and a lower bedroom and bathroom for a party of 2. The house was clean and well maintained and there was plenty of room to spread out. The house was just a few minutes away from a supermarket, stores and restaurants and about 20 minutes from Gore Mountain. We enjoyed the hot tub after skiing. Great house in a great location!

We enjoyed our stay at Jackson’s Lodge from the well-equipped kitchen, to the soothing hot tub, the beautiful weather and the colorful autumn scenery. We would highly recommend a stay at the Jackson Lodge!

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay at Jackson's Lodge! The cabin is very spacious and contains all the amenities you need. The hot tub was an amazing experience at the end of a long day. The Simpsons arcade machine was a personal favorite! Would definitely stay here again.

Jackson's Lodge is beautiful. Everything from the well-equipped kitchen; to the comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, and amazing screened-in porch. Our family of 5 plus grandma stayed for a week in July and it was perfect. The house was clean and stocked with the kitchen essentials we needed. We enjoyed the fire pit, large backyard and jacuzzi. The location was also great - central to Schroon Lake and Lake George. The owners were also very responsive. Will consider again for future Adirondacks vacations!!

The house has everything you need, very nice outdoor space and activities, hot tub, larger yard for games, fire pit, plenty of table space and chairs. Nice kitchen, dining area, several seating areas, two full bathrooms and a great screened in porch for lounging. Close to hiking trails, several small towns for dining and local breweries. Will definitely recommend Jacksons Retreat to my friends.

The house was beautiful with spacious living and dining areas. The 3 season screen room was nice, though we stayed in January and didn’t get to enjoy it. The kids and husband enjoyed the foosball table and arcade game. The master bed room is in the basement and the kids room downstairs, but there is an alarm/chime in place that goes off when any door opens which put my mind at ease being on another floor. Other reviews said the basement is cold but I did not find that to be true. There are local winter activities around but it’s bring your own gear, ie: ice skates/sled, which would have been nice to know. We did leave the sleds we bought at the house for future guests, as we have them at home. We had a great weekend away and would come back to this property.

My family and I (wife and 2 children ages 15 and 11) had an absolutely wonderful time staying at this vacation rental. It was quiet, clean, spacious and so relaxing. The property was large and beautiful and the house had ample space for all of us to spread out although most of our time was spent in the living room in front of the wood burning stove. The house had all the amenities anyone could ask for to make the stay inviting and comfortable. The beds were super comfortable and the hot tub was so nice to soak in after a day on the slopes. Our primary reason for visiting was to snowboard and Gore mountain was a short 20 minute drive away through gorgeous windy mountain roads. I highly recommend this property for a peaceful mountain retreat and my family and I cannot wait to return.

My family and friends would like to thank Tony and Kristi (the owners) for such a great vacation at their home in Chestertown. Everything on the description of the house was accurate. The house was super cozy and comfortable. It was clean and ready for us when we arrived. The owners were helpful with a few questions we had early in our stay and quick to respond. We brought our furry buddy Willow with us, and we are pretty sure she did not want to leave. There was plenty of room for her to play out back and a great neighborhood to walk her. We would 100% stay there again! I wish I could add pictures to this review, the area is beautiful outside, and The Adirondack Sky was simply stunning. Thank you both again, The Carmen's wish you well.

This property was amazing! Beautiful location as well as easy to get to from highway 87. We loved ALL the extras that came with the house! Being the main “chef” in our group, I appreciated the spices and cooking supplies left for use. We remarked over and over about the overall cleanliness and though full details that were included with this property! Well done!

Beautiful cozy CLEAN cabin close to everything, we stayed for 4 nights and everything was wonderful, your home is clean and cozy and very inviting. We loved everything about it. Will definitely stay here again when we go to Gore Mountain to ski!

My small family, best friend alongside his wife and dog had a great and comfortable stay at Jackson’s Lodge. The lodge is cozy and tastefully decorated. The beds were super comfortable-allowing us great sleep. They had a welcome book which was an awesome resource. Tony was very helpful and responsive. We definitely plan on coming back!

Perfect little getaway cabin. Clean, roomy and up to date with everything. Location is perfect, 20 minutes from lake george, 20 minutes from mount gore. You can even walk right over to loon lake, there are even snowmoblie tours not even 5 minutes away. (Might even get lucky and get to rip across a frozen lake). Definitely recommend checking this place out, i know we will, again!

Overall very good. The TV went out. This was a rare occurrence. My only complaint was the downstairs was very cold. Otherwise the house was beautiful.

Great location, very responsive host. Property was well cared for, large yard, large bedrooms. The downstairs suite was perfect for adult offspring. Walkout to hot tub, fire pit, yard games if you have them. Probably the best vrbo ever.

Accommodations were clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. They had everything we needed! The location was very quiet and peaceful, but close enough to skiing and a few restaurants. The hosts were easy to work with and I would highly recommend this place.

My small family, best friend alongside his wife and dog had a great and comfortable stay at Jackson’s Lodge. The lodge is cozy and tastefully decorated. The beds were super comfortable-allowing us great sleep. They had a welcome book which was an awesome resource. Tony was very helpful and responsive. We definitely plan on coming back!

My family and friends would like to thank Tony and Kristi (the owners) for such a great vacation at their home in Chestertown. Everything on the description of the house was accurate. The house was super cozy and comfortable. It was clean and ready for us when we arrived. The owners were helpful with a few questions we had early in our stay and quick to respond. We brought our furry buddy Willow with us, and we are pretty sure she did not want to leave. There was plenty of room for her to play out back and a great neighborhood to walk her. We would 100% stay there again! I wish I could add pictures to this review, the area is beautiful outside, and The Adirondack Sky was simply stunning. Thank you both again, The Carmen's wish you well.

The house was perfect for our Easter weekend with family. Very clean, kitchen is fully equipped, the house is well located if you want to go hiking in the area. The hosts were very responsive and very thoughtful! They even gave us bowls for the dog! I highly recommend.

This was a much needed woodsy getaway! If you want a nice, peaceful, amazing home away from home, getaway. Please book Tony’s beautiful home! Our time went by too fast and I wish we were still there. Everything was perfect from booking to checking out! I am definitely keeping this property as a favorite for next year! It was located in the heart of everywhere we wanted to go! Thank you again Tony for opening your home!

Jackson's Lodge is beautiful. Everything from the well-equipped kitchen; to the comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, and amazing screened-in porch. The owners are very responsive and the check-in check-out process is seamless. Definitely recommend a stay at this lodge! We are looking forward to a future visit. Thank you for having us.

We had a wonderful time staying in Tony’s home. We were in town for a wedding and it was located close to the venue and rehearsal dinner location. It was a nice area to explore. We checked out the schroon lake area which was a short drive. A nice little coffee shop there. The house was very clean, great cooking appliances, easy place to stay with young kids. Tony was very responsive if we needed help.

Our family of 5 plus grandma stayed for a week in July and it was perfect. The house was clean and stocked with the kitchen essentials we needed. We enjoyed the fire pit, large backyard and jacuzzi. The location was also great - central to Schroon Lake and Lake George. The owners were also very responsive. Will consider again for future Adirondacks vacations!!

We stayed here for two nights to attend my father's funeral. While the accommodations were lovely, and we were grateful for the peace and all the amenities, the in-house camera made us uncomfortable at times. We found it very strange, and did not enjoy the sense that we were being watched. We were happy to pay the pet fee-but were not given that option when initially paying. Getting an email immediately after entering was a weird feeling.

We stayed at Jackson's Lodge for about a week for a skiing vacation. The layout worked great for us - 2 bedrooms & 1 bathroom on the main floor for a party of 4 and a lower bedroom and bathroom for a party of 2. The house was clean and well maintained and there was plenty of room to spread out. The house was just a few minutes away from a supermarket, stores and restaurants and about 20 minutes from Gore Mountain. We enjoyed the hot tub after skiing. Great house in a great location!

My family and I (wife and 2 children ages 15 and 11) had an absolutely wonderful time staying at this vacation rental. It was quiet, clean, spacious and so relaxing. The property was large and beautiful and the house had ample space for all of us to spread out although most of our time was spent in the living room in front of the wood burning stove. The house had all the amenities anyone could ask for to make the stay inviting and comfortable. The beds were super comfortable and the hot tub was so nice to soak in after a day on the slopes. Our primary reason for visiting was to snowboard and Gore mountain was a short 20 minute drive away through gorgeous windy mountain roads. I highly recommend this property for a peaceful mountain retreat and my family and I cannot wait to return.

Perfect little getaway cabin. Clean, roomy and up to date with everything. Location is perfect, 20 minutes from lake george, 20 minutes from mount gore. You can even walk right over to loon lake, there are even snowmoblie tours not even 5 minutes away. (Might even get lucky and get to rip across a frozen lake). Definitely recommend checking this place out, i know we will, again!

This property was amazing! Beautiful location as well as easy to get to from highway 87. We loved ALL the extras that came with the house! Being the main “chef” in our group, I appreciated the spices and cooking supplies left for use. We remarked over and over about the overall cleanliness and though full details that were included with this property! Well done!

Beautiful cozy CLEAN cabin close to everything, we stayed for 4 nights and everything was wonderful, your home is clean and cozy and very inviting. We loved everything about it. Will definitely stay here again when we go to Gore Mountain to ski!

This property is one of the most organized and equipped properties that I have stayed in. The owners have meticulously set up the property for their renters needs. As an owner of my own rental property, it was greatly appreciated. Nothing bothers me more, as a rental owner myself, then staying in a property where the owners don't respect their renters. That was not an issue with this property. In addition, the property itself is in a wonderful location. Close to hiking, skiing, Lake George and many other recreational activities, while still giving you that private, isolated, remote feeling. The best of all worlds. I look forward to staying at this houe again.

The hot tub was a great feature with easy access. We were pleasantly surprised with the kitchen and all that was supplied. It was a great place to stay for a weekend of skiing at Gore Mountain and returning to a relaxing home.

The house was very cozy and welcoming. I especially liked having a bedroom, sitting room with TV, and bathroom downstairs. It gave us more privacy. My sons and their friends enjoyed the hot tub. They did not mind the freezing weather. My only complaint had nothing to do with the owner or property. The cleaning service did not do a great job cleaning the kitchen. I had to wash some silverware and glasses again and they did not do a good job cleaning the kitchen floor. Again, nothing to do with the owner of the propery. Sometimes cleaning services can do a very rushed job unfortunately.
