We spent Mother's Day weekend here. Very close to the welcome center to catch a shuttle to the strolley station. There were several nearby walkable restaurants.

The house was a great place to stay. Close enough to everything to walk but not be in the middle of all the people. Everything you needed was provided and everything is super clean.
