Good location & efficient, friendly staff. Didn't like the security measure with regards to lifts, we should have been given 2 keys. Restaurant & roof top bar outstanding for this I would stay again.

This hotel is one of the best, most accommodating, and friendliest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It’s also incredibly beautiful, classy, chic, and clean. We were so pleased with the welcoming staff and everything we experienced at the hotel. The room is spacious and provides everything you need. Even Le Labo amenities, blow dryer, iron and board, and even did turn down service each night. I can’t compliment the staff enough. They did a fantastic job making us feel welcome and like family. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The spa was top notch and we really enjoyed our massages and facials. I am still glowing. The gym is perfect and so is the sensory shower, sauna and other wellness amenities. The restaurant and bar was delicious snd extremely high quality. We were so so happy with our stay and were sad to leave. Thanks to everyone who went above and beyond for us.

Without question, one of the best hotels I've ever stayed. Ever member of the staff was warm, professional and very courteous. The rooftop bar offers some of the best views in the city and the hotel offers more amenities that we were able to take advantage of. Besides the rooftop, I especially loved the quiet lounge on the first floor overlooking the city street. The made-to-order breakfast was delicious with very attentive staff. Our final dinner was at the BAHR restaurant (same location as breakfast) and was one to remember. The quality of the food and the service was among the best we have EVER experienced. It was wonderful to have a clear view of the kitchen and see the staff prepare each plate was such skill and precision. Our many thanks to the entire Bairro Alto staff for a truly remarkable visit to Lisbon and this wonderful hotel.

The property is perfectly located and luxurious in its well appointed rooms, dining areas, spa and reception areas. The dining areas overlook the neighborhood and river and the view is spectacular. We booked this hotel for only one night but I could've stayed forever! The property is beautiful, the check in team we dealt with were fantastic, welcoming and made every effort to get us in early. Which they did. Our rooms were gorgeous, clean, well styled, amazing. And there is an onsite bakery/coffee which is incredible. Up a few stairs from the bakery is a wonderful lounge where you can enjoy your treat, bring a laptop and work or just hang out. We ate dinner at Bahr which is the restaurant on the 5th floor and let me tell you, it knocked us all for a loop. We lucked out and were seated directly in front of the kitchen and watched with expert choreography the team deliver the most modern, delicious takes on Portuguese food. The chicken piri piri nuggets, we could have eaten 100 of them. Yes we ordered several of them! Then as the evening was about to end the chef came by to check in, so classy. 24 hours at this hotel and I'm obsessed - thank you for a wonderful time in Lisbon, will be back for sure!!

We ate at the Fifth Floor restaurant on our first night and the meal was first class, the terrace bar on the sixth floor is unmissable, with amazing views across the City, and delicious light meals. Breakfasts were also excellent. One of the main attributes we noticed, though, was how there was such a calm and relaxing ambience throughout the hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated with everything you need, and the bed was supremely comfortable. Above all, though, it is the staff that stand out, from the front desk, to the restaurants/bars and the housekeeping team. The service we got was impeccable everywhere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful hotel.

Muy bien ubicado , excelente Servicio y una cafetería muy buena . Desayuno incluido . El hotel está en un edificio antiguo y los ascensores son poco práctico (confusos incluso) . Las habitación es más pequeña de lo esperado llegando a ser incómoda si uno lleva maleta grande .

Ein schönes Hotel, in guter Lage, mit einer tollen Sicht. Es ist schön eingerichtet, sauber und das Personal ist extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Service ist toll und die Speisekarte umfangreich. Ein rundum toller Urlaub dort.

Make sure you secure your valuables in your room. Its hard to give a positive review when an expensive gold broach goes missing from the room. I had just purchased it for my wifes birthday. The front desk did apologize but could do nothing. They claimed noone was in my room for turn down service but things were clearly moved. The carry on suitcase I had against a wall had been turned around and a robe was also missing. This ruined what was otherwise a good stay.

A beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Everything was new. The neighborhood has some late night partying but the windows are very tight. I slept so well in the great sheets and bed. The roof top for breakfast, lunch and drinks is gorgeous.

The only thing I did not like about this property was the amount of noise you hear from outside. It made sleeping a bit challenging…. And, I even used earplugs. Perhaps it was the jet lag that was the problem. But, it was a little noisy with music.

This is a classic European hotel with incredible service. It sits on a vibrant, if busy, city square. That can make it a little noisier than ideal but there are a lot of shops and bars within easy walking distance. They made to order breakfast was some of the best food we had in Lisbon. Love this place.

The Bairro Alto is the absolute BEST hotel in Lisbon, hands-down. In fact, I would say it is the best hotel in Portugal, and all of Europe, for that matter. Upon arriving, my family and I were treated like royalty. The attention that we received was personal, efficient, professional, while still being warm and inviting. Tatiana assisted with every single detail to make our stay comfortable—she exhibited the most impeccable form of hospitality I have ever experienced in any hotel. The 2 waiters named Francisco in the restaurant who worked at breakfast were incredible. Every single staff member, from the hard-working housekeeping team to the concierge to the purser made you feel as if you were the most important guest in the entire property. When I asked if there were eye pillows and the hotel realized they did not have them, someone sent away for one. That very evening upon returning to my room, a newly purchased eye mask was on my bed with a personalized, handwritten note. Apart from the top-quality service, the location of the hotel is perfect. The rooms are stunning—comfortable, quiet, extremely tasteful with the smallest details taken into account. Anytime we made a request, it was honored in a matter of minutes. We had the perfect ending to our Portugal trip at the Barrio Alto! From the moment we checked in, the attention to detail and high level of service was evident. Breakfast on the terrace was a wonderful way to start each day, and cocktails at sunset were the perfect end. The hotel is in a great location to really walk around the city and explore. We couldn’t be happier with our stay!

Bairro Alto Hotel is centrally located with convenient access to many of the more popular atractions in Lisbon. The neighborhood around the hotel is very walkable and has many good shops and restaurants. What really sets the hotel apart though is the friendly staff. Everyone working at the hotel is pleasent, friendly and helpful. We felt well taken care of. This is our second time staying at the hotel and we can't recommend it highly enough

Bairro Alto Hotel was perfect! Location could not be better and the hotel itself was very lovely. Room was decorated so nicely with a spacious bathroom. Such great views from the restaurant terrace and rooftop as well. Staff was also amazing and understanding of food allergies. Would definitely stay here again!

Without question, one of the best hotels I've ever stayed. Ever member of the staff was warm, professional and very courteous. The rooftop bar offers some of the best views in the city and the hotel offers more amenities that we were able to take advantage of. Besides the rooftop, I especially loved the quiet lounge on the first floor overlooking the city street. The made-to-order breakfast was delicious with very attentive staff. Our final dinner was at the BAHR restaurant (same location as breakfast) and was one to remember. The quality of the food and the service was among the best we have EVER experienced. It was wonderful to have a clear view of the kitchen and see the staff prepare each plate was such skill and precision. Our many thanks to the entire Bairro Alto staff for a truly remarkable visit to Lisbon and this wonderful hotel.

We booked this hotel for only one night but I could've stayed forever! The property is beautiful, the check in team we dealt with were fantastic, welcoming and made every effort to get us in early. Which they did. Our rooms were gorgeous, clean, well styled, amazing. And there is an onsite bakery/coffee which is incredible. Up a few stairs from the bakery is a wonderful lounge where you can enjoy your treat, bring a laptop and work or just hang out. We ate dinner at Bahr which is the restaurant on the 5th floor and let me tell you, it knocked us all for a loop. We lucked out and were seated directly in front of the kitchen and watched with expert choreography the team deliver the most modern, delicious takes on Portuguese food. The chicken piri piri nuggets, we could have eaten 100 of them. Yes we ordered several of them! Then as the evening was about to end the chef came by to check in, so classy. 24 hours at this hotel and I'm obsessed - thank you for a wonderful time in Lisbon, will be back for sure!!

This stylish hotel is just excellent on all levels. The staff are incredibly friendly and efficient. The housekeeping team is among the best we have experienced. The food is outstanding. We ate at the Fifth Floor restaurant on our first night and the meal was first class, the terrace bar on the sixth floor is unmissable, with amazing views across the City, and delicious light meals. Breakfasts were also excellent. One of the main attributes we noticed, though, was how there was such a calm and relaxing ambience throughout the hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated with everything you need, and the bed was supremely comfortable. Above all, though, it is the staff that stand out, from the front desk, to the restaurants/bars and the housekeeping team. The service we got was impeccable everywhere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful hotel.

We LOVED our stay here! Conveniently located, staff was wonderful, room was small but stylish and plenty for what we needed! What we really liked was the restaurant BAHR. The food was fabulous! We ended up eating there all three of our nights. Never had the same things twice as there was so much to choose from! We always ate on the terrace with great views, too. The sommelier was outstanding. He knew his wines and had a map of the Portugal wine regions. My husband is very knowledgeable about wines and they had fun talking. Sommelier recommendations were right-on! Pricey, but not that much more so than other hotels we looked at. Also, breakfast was included! Not the usual breakfast buffet but order from a menu. Food at breakfast was outstanding, too! Definitely would stay there again!
