We really enjoyed our stay at Deer Meadow Ranch. John was very responsive and the property was large with lots of open areas. The open areas were great for our three small children as they had plenty of space to play. The proximity to Yosemite was why we booked it and it certainly made it easy to get back and forth. It was about 40 minutes to the entrance gate and an hour to the valley floor. Even on Labor Day weekend, we didn’t wait very long to get in since we would get going early. Overall, the place was as expected and we’ll certainly be interested to return in the future.
We really enjoyed our stay at Deer Meadow Ranch. John was very responsive and the property was large with lots of open areas. The open areas were great for our three small children as they had plenty of space to play. The proximity to Yosemite was why we booked it and it certainly made it easy to get back and forth. Overall, the place was as expected and we’ll certainly be interested to return in the future.

Super quiet and remote. Reasonably close to Yosemite. Although some of the kitchen furnishings were worn out and in need of replacement, it was clean and comfortable. Plenty of room to relax and spread out. Very poor AT&T connectivity, but WiFi saved the day. Loved having a washer and dryer!

Peaceful home and surroundings. The owner provided several amenities including coffee, cereal, snacks and ramen. The kitchen was immaculate and spacious. Games for all ages as well as coloring books. I plan to stay here again for our next adventure.

Very nice, updated home, close to Yosemite, with a deck perfect for watching the stars! The only drawback with it being in the woods is that it has hard water, a small price to pay for it’s location so close to Yosemite and nature. The owners leave filtered water in the fridge for drinking.

The house is amazingly large with two large bedrooms and bathrooms and large kitchen. The house is in a neighborhood away from the crowds with a large porch for morning coffee or evening dinner. The beds are comfortable and house is clean. Would recommend to all travelers!

We had a wonderful time here. The place is very spacious with large porch and backyard to relax. It's located away from the Hwy and the neighborhood so it is very peaceful and quiet. It's extremely clean and comfortable. Check-in was very simple and host was very responsive if you have any questions. Only 45 minutes to the yosemite entrance. I would highly recommend this place.

Lovely spacious house that is about an hour from the Yosemite Valley but there really isn’t anything closer in the area. We enjoyed quiet morning coffees on the deck and large rooms for our family of 5. The house was very clean and easy to find. The area is remote and about 20 minutes from a few restaurants and a grocery store in Mariposa.

It was a regular experience, the place and the house were excellent, but we had problems with the water (it tasted like rust and the same in the shower), a bed with a bad smell and the plates, glasses and all the kitchen utensils with a bad smell, I'm sorry. I do this type of thing a lot, but in my travels it has never happened to me in the other properties, I hope they fix this problem in this property.-

The first thing we noticed when we pulled up was the grass was VERY overgrown. So it looked a little different than the pics we saw when we booked. It was clean and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay while visiting Yosemite NP. Except for washcloths. There wasnt a washcloth in the entire house. And the house is quiet buggy. We had to vacuum spiders from the ceiling on 3 occasions. The space is good. Plenty of room and the house has great potential it just needs some love. The water is definitely an issue. The smell is bad and our hair never felt clean after washing it. We brushed our teeth with bottled water. I believe the owner has tried to address the issue so i'm not sure if anything else can be done about it. Overall the house was just ok.

The home is quite old. The kitchen and deck were the best features but the rest needs a little TLC. The towels were stained and very thin. The water smelled like rust and we didn’t feel comfortable drinking it. It’s just an older home that needs some updates especially the bathrooms. Our shower curtain was pretty gross and there were rust stains on the shower and sinks. It is 45 minutes from the park, which I believe was stated in the description, but another 20 minutes beyond that to the valley. A bit too far to drive every day.

Property in great location near Yosemite (about a 45 minute to hour drive). Owner/Property Manager is communicative and the rental is comfortable and spacious. Would suggest bringing own drinking water as filtered and tap water has a bit of a metallic taste. Overall a great rental experience and we would definitely stay again!

This a very large and spacious house, and the 2 acre property it sits in the middle of is gorgeous. The house is comfortably appointed, uncluttered and immaculate. A perfect place for two couples—we would rent it again with friends. Our host, John, was extremely responsive and accommodating.

The proximity to Yosemite sold me on this home. The rural location provided a place to relax and unwind after a long day of sightseeing. The home was spacious and comfortable and the beds were great. I would definitely recommend this home for both couples and families.

Even better than the pictures! So quiet, close drive to the West gate of Yosemite-close to half dome, Yosemite valley, the iconic park stops. Very comfortable and spacious.

This was a lovely spot to stay about 40 mins outside of Yosemite. Property was large, quite and clean with good furnishings. The wifi is pretty rubbish but nice to get away from everything nonetheless. Check in and out was easy and the property owner communicated well. Overall I would thoroughly recommend this property.

A great house in the middle of a forest! Far from the main road and very quiet and tranquil. The huge living room is great for family time, and the kitchen is big and fully stocked.

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay in this house. Checking in, I made a mistake of not downloading the check-in instructions and my phone had no service. That being said, the owner posted his phone number by the door. Unfortunately he never answered the calls or voicemail. Luckily, I found a door open on the other side of the house and was able to get in. Additionally, we had an issue where the kitchen circuit breaker blew that was a problem because the breaker box was behind a locked door. After a slow response, the owner gave us the wrong code which wasted a lot of time. Also, the house only had two wash cloths. Strange. All other aspects of the house were nice. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We even saw some wild deer in the yard and nearby wooded area.

This place was perfect for us. It was remote, but 10 minutes from town, groceries, resturants, and anything you may need. Close to everything, but juuust far enough from the people in the park. We drove in on wowana Road once on our last day (the other route into yosemite), and let me assure you, route 140 which this house is located off of is the easier route and that alone should be a big factor. After a long day of dealing with others, abet In a beautiful setting, It is nice to come home to somewhere where life just seems normal. The house is spotless, The beds are comfortable, The showers are clean and hot, and all the amenities are there. There is beautiful scenery around you, And you can be sure you won’t be bothered once you get “home” For the night. Check in and check out is Easy and the host can be reached at anytime if there are problems, but there wont be. This is going in my favorites list if i ever make it back to yosemite.

The property was beautiful and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware. The beds were comfortable. Great communication from the host. We enjoyed our stay.
The property was beautiful and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware. The beds were comfortable. Great communication from the host. We enjoyed our stay.

We were looking for a get away to avoid fireworks! This home was peaceful and quiet for our dog who melts when she hears fireworks. We took this opportunity to visit Yosemite and it was within 45 min drive. The star watching around 11pm, was magical at the house. Host was responsive!

This a very large and spacious house, and the 2 acre property it sits in the middle of is gorgeous. The house is comfortably appointed, uncluttered and immaculate. A perfect place for two couples—we would rent it again with friends. Our host, John, was extremely responsive and accommodating.

The proximity to Yosemite sold me on this home. The rural location provided a place to relax and unwind after a long day of sightseeing. The home was spacious and comfortable and the beds were great. I would definitely recommend this home for both couples and families.

This place was perfect for us. It was remote, but 10 minutes from town, groceries, resturants, and anything you may need. Close to everything, but juuust far enough from the people in the park. We drove in on wowana Road once on our last day (the other route into yosemite), and let me assure you, route 140 which this house is located off of is the easier route and that alone should be a big factor. After a long day of dealing with others, abet In a beautiful setting, It is nice to come home to somewhere where life just seems normal. The house is spotless, The beds are comfortable, The showers are clean and hot, and all the amenities are there. There is beautiful scenery around you, And you can be sure you won’t be bothered once you get “home” For the night. Check in and check out is Easy and the host can be reached at anytime if there are problems, but there wont be. This is going in my favorites list if i ever make it back to yosemite.

Even better than the pictures! So quiet, close drive to the West gate of Yosemite-close to half dome, Yosemite valley, the iconic park stops. Very comfortable and spacious.

A weekend trip to Yosemite with the family was made easy with this location. We had 5 people and two pets. Communication with the property manger was fantastic. The property is out in the wilderness’s so be prepared for mosquitoes, bats, wasps, and spiders. Inside was super spacious for all of us so would would definitely stay here again when we come back to Yosemite. The drive there was gorgeous and totaled about an hour to get fully inside the park(the entrance is 35min). Loved our stay.

Lovely spacious house that is about an hour from the Yosemite Valley but there really isn’t anything closer in the area. We enjoyed quiet morning coffees on the deck and large rooms for our family of 5. The house was very clean and easy to find. The area is remote and about 20 minutes from a few restaurants and a grocery store in Mariposa.

We really enjoyed our stay at Deer Meadow Ranch. John was very responsive and the property was large with lots of open areas. The open areas were great for our three small children as they had plenty of space to play. The proximity to Yosemite was why we booked it and it certainly made it easy to get back and forth. It was about 40 minutes to the entrance gate and an hour to the valley floor. Even on Labor Day weekend, we didn’t wait very long to get in since we would get going early. Overall, the place was as expected and we’ll certainly be interested to return in the future.

Property in great location near Yosemite (about a 45 minute to hour drive). Owner/Property Manager is communicative and the rental is comfortable and spacious. Would suggest bringing own drinking water as filtered and tap water has a bit of a metallic taste. Overall a great rental experience and we would definitely stay again!

Very close to Yosemite and was a wonderful place to stay and only ~20 mins to get back after visitng. We enjoyed having a place to cook and relax when we got back from visiting Yosemite. Check in and check out was very easy. John, was very responsive to all the questions and had detailed instructions. Overall we enjoyed our stay in Deer Meadow Ranch.

Peaceful home and surroundings. The owner provided several amenities including coffee, cereal, snacks and ramen. The kitchen was immaculate and spacious. Games for all ages as well as coloring books. I plan to stay here again for our next adventure.

Very nice, updated home, close to Yosemite, with a deck perfect for watching the stars! The only drawback with it being in the woods is that it has hard water, a small price to pay for it’s location so close to Yosemite and nature. The owners leave filtered water in the fridge for drinking.

A great house in the middle of a forest! Far from the main road and very quiet and tranquil. The huge living room is great for family time, and the kitchen is big and fully stocked.

Location of the house is great to visit Yosemite Park. House is huge with a lot of space. Host was great and was so kind to send us back some forgotten items. We only missed some butter knives and glasses in the kitchen, as we were 8 people and there were not enough for everyone…

House was very clean and well-maintained. The kitchen had every utensil we needed, which made cooking easy and convenient. Communication with the host was smooth and quick throughout the stay. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience, and I would definitely recommend staying here.

Super quiet and remote. Reasonably close to Yosemite. Although some of the kitchen furnishings were worn out and in need of replacement, it was clean and comfortable. Plenty of room to relax and spread out. Very poor AT&T connectivity, but WiFi saved the day. Loved having a washer and dryer!

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay in this house. Checking in, I made a mistake of not downloading the check-in instructions and my phone had no service. That being said, the owner posted his phone number by the door. Unfortunately he never answered the calls or voicemail. Luckily, I found a door open on the other side of the house and was able to get in. Additionally, we had an issue where the kitchen circuit breaker blew that was a problem because the breaker box was behind a locked door. After a slow response, the owner gave us the wrong code which wasted a lot of time. Also, the house only had two wash cloths. Strange. All other aspects of the house were nice. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We even saw some wild deer in the yard and nearby wooded area.
