Nice home. Was a little confusing getting to the home but we managed. Insulated well to avoid hearing the trains running. Can hear them as muffled sounds. Was surprised by the private dock. It was very picturesque. Overall we enjoyed the stay very much.

We had a wonderful time at the home. The house was clean and well equipt. It had room for all 11 of us to gather and enjoy time together. The porch was awesome. It was a little difficult to find at first as the road is not labeled. Look for the gravel drive by the mailboxes

We loved staying here and would love to come back. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully appointed, and the water view and large peaceful porch were a central focus of enjoyment for our group of 10. The kitchen is well supplied with housewares and the extra fridge in the pantry was a bonus. As far as entertainment, the hot tub, Wii Sports, and pool table gave us plenty to do when we were relaxing. Even the train coming by sporadically added some excitement and didn’t pose an interruption. We highly recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet waterfront space in proximity to the Lancaster area.

Space is great. Dock needed to be cleaned. Junk on ground in that area. The feral cats are a nuisance. All that being said, the furnishings are fine- kitchen is well stocked- and you can’t beat the outside space. The surrounding area is run down.

House is absolutely perfect! Kitchen well equipped, lots of games, hot tub was awesome and you barely hear the train. My family loved watching the train the few times it went by. Awesome host and propriety. Highly recommend!

The property was beautiful and so large. Plenty of space for our party of 8 to spread out and enjoy time alone or with each other. Two refrigerators allowed us to stock up and cook in the house. We enjoyed nights at the fire pit and morning coffee on the front porch. Loved this house!

We have been doing a girls trip for 6 years and finding a place big enough for 10 women can be a challenge. This place checked all the boxes so we booked it and although there were some things that were not perfect the place was the right size and the response from John regarding our concerns was very helpful. Good business is done when concerns are expressed and heard and at the end of the day that’s what we remember most and I do appreciate his timely responses. We aren’t sure what happened but concerns regarding things being cleaned and some issues with a few things not working were not responded to during our weekend stay but after emailing with John after arriving back home he was prompt in responding and I believe he will address the issues with his cleaning crew and he even refunded us the cleaning fee. With all this being said we had a fabulous weekend, and we enjoyed the place and the space it provided for us.

Hi, John, I just wanted to touch base with you to give you feedback on your rental home in PA. Our family spent 5 days there & it was a wonderful experience. The house is in a beautiful location & the freight line across the street was a wonderful addition for our 2 grandchildren. When we arrived, we found a spotless house, fully stocked. There wasn’t one thing we had to run out to purchase. In fact, we brought equipment we never needed. This was greatly appreciated. We highly recommend your home & we thank you for sharing it with us.

Wow, just wow. What an amazing house. Four families stayed and the space was incredible. So extremely clean and well kept. The amenities were just a plus. While this next comment is not a negative, just keep in mind that, the access road is a gravel road and you must be drive close to the tracks. Just FYI! Definitely recommend this house.

This was an excellent experience, we loved the property, it was clean, and exactly what we signed up for. When there was a water valve tha wouldn’t shut off, the owner responded and resolved the issue quickly.

This is great new wooden cabin with all the clean furniture, nice decoration, large space, and with everything needed. Owner cares about his customers. This is a very nice cabin in a quite area with a peaceful atmosphere and a river view. We will come back!

The lay out of the house was beautiful and John was very helpful and easy to talk to. My young adult friends stayed at the property for a weekend getaway and appreciated how spacious it was. The only thing I’d be apprehensive about is that there were many ants and other bugs all over the kitchen, dining room area, and bar upon arrival. We had to thoroughly clean and wipe down the surfaces before eating. We sprayed raid in the area but made sure not to leave any food out because the ants would have had a field day for sure. Besides that, lovely home! Would come back

We booked this spot for a family weekend to Sight and Sound as well as the shopping in Lancaster area. The house was unique and very clean. Beds were extremely comfortable and had all the amenities as described. This house was by far the best in the neighborhood and the locals made it clear they don’t like “Strangers” coming in. Probably had 10 stray cats and two dogs from the neighbors visit constantly. Found it very annoying. It was a 30 drive from most everything we wanted to see but overall the house was great. The train tracks were between the house and the river so if we had young children we would have been a bit nervous. Local contact allowed us in a bit early and had no other contact with him and all was well.

Me and my friends are all in our 20s and we stayed in this house together for a weekend getaway and it was beyond lovely. The listing pictures don’t even do this house justice, the natural light from the big windows made the inside shine. We had such a peaceful stay. It was actually kind of nice that there was no activity in immediate radius of the house, because all of us are so busy with life and living far from each other, so to just sit back, drink, relax, and enjoy each other’s company in a beautiful house like this was so worth it. But the hosts left the house pristine for us coming in, and it was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need in ways of linens, towels, dishes, everything. If you’re looking for a secluded weekend to spend quality time with your people with a beautiful view in an area with hiking and outdoor activities this is the place to rent!!!

This house was absolutely pristine and the perfect getaway. Everything was provided for us- linens, dishes, towels, entertainment, and more. I stayed here with a group of friends, and it was the perfect place for us. We all live apart from each other, so to be able to come to a house that already has everything for us there was amazing. We got to spend true quality time together without distractions. The river view from the front of the house was so beautiful out of the large windows across the main floor, and we got so excited every time the train came by!!

We loved it. So quiet and peaceful. Would drive right past the place if you didn't know it was a place to stay. Gorgeous view of the river and 3 out of the 4 rooms have an awesome view of it. Rooms were so comfy and the large sectional was great for TV (World Series was on when we were there!). Only thing I could considered a negative (small for me) is the train. We got used to it but it can be a little loud. Some of our party grew up in the city so this was nothing. All in all it definitely didn't ruin the trip for us by any means. Minimal for us. I would definitely recommend but just to keep in mind the train runs in the middle of the night. Again, I slept through most of them but wanted to put it out there.

The property was beautiful and so large. Plenty of space for our party of 8 to spread out and enjoy time alone or with each other. Two refrigerators allowed us to stock up and cook in the house. We enjoyed nights at the fire pit and morning coffee on the front porch. Loved this house!

We have been doing a girls trip for 6 years and finding a place big enough for 10 women can be a challenge. This place checked all the boxes so we booked it and although there were some things that were not perfect the place was the right size and the response from John regarding our concerns was very helpful. Good business is done when concerns are expressed and heard and at the end of the day that’s what we remember most and I do appreciate his timely responses. We aren’t sure what happened but concerns regarding things being cleaned and some issues with a few things not working were not responded to during our weekend stay but after emailing with John after arriving back home he was prompt in responding and I believe he will address the issues with his cleaning crew and he even refunded us the cleaning fee. With all this being said we had a fabulous weekend, and we enjoyed the place and the space it provided for us.

This was an excellent experience, we loved the property, it was clean, and exactly what we signed up for. When there was a water valve tha wouldn’t shut off, the owner responded and resolved the issue quickly.

This is great new wooden cabin with all the clean furniture, nice decoration, large space, and with everything needed. Owner cares about his customers. This is a very nice cabin in a quite area with a peaceful atmosphere and a river view. We will come back!

The lay out of the house was beautiful and John was very helpful and easy to talk to. My young adult friends stayed at the property for a weekend getaway and appreciated how spacious it was. The only thing I’d be apprehensive about is that there were many ants and other bugs all over the kitchen, dining room area, and bar upon arrival. We had to thoroughly clean and wipe down the surfaces before eating. We sprayed raid in the area but made sure not to leave any food out because the ants would have had a field day for sure. Besides that, lovely home! Would come back

House is absolutely perfect! Kitchen well equipped, lots of games, hot tub was awesome and you barely hear the train. My family loved watching the train the few times it went by. Awesome host and propriety. Highly recommend!

We booked this spot for a family weekend to Sight and Sound as well as the shopping in Lancaster area. The house was unique and very clean. Beds were extremely comfortable and had all the amenities as described. This house was by far the best in the neighborhood and the locals made it clear they don’t like “Strangers” coming in. Probably had 10 stray cats and two dogs from the neighbors visit constantly. Found it very annoying. It was a 30 drive from most everything we wanted to see but overall the house was great. The train tracks were between the house and the river so if we had young children we would have been a bit nervous. Local contact allowed us in a bit early and had no other contact with him and all was well.

Nice home. Was a little confusing getting to the home but we managed. Insulated well to avoid hearing the trains running. Can hear them as muffled sounds. Was surprised by the private dock. It was very picturesque. Overall we enjoyed the stay very much.

We had a wonderful time at the home. The house was clean and well equipt. It had room for all 11 of us to gather and enjoy time together. The porch was awesome. It was a little difficult to find at first as the road is not labeled. Look for the gravel drive by the mailboxes

We loved staying here and would love to come back. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully appointed, and the water view and large peaceful porch were a central focus of enjoyment for our group of 10. The kitchen is well supplied with housewares and the extra fridge in the pantry was a bonus. As far as entertainment, the hot tub, Wii Sports, and pool table gave us plenty to do when we were relaxing. Even the train coming by sporadically added some excitement and didn’t pose an interruption. We highly recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet waterfront space in proximity to the Lancaster area.

Space is great. Dock needed to be cleaned. Junk on ground in that area. The feral cats are a nuisance. All that being said, the furnishings are fine- kitchen is well stocked- and you can’t beat the outside space. The surrounding area is run down.

We loved it. So quiet and peaceful. Would drive right past the place if you didn't know it was a place to stay. Gorgeous view of the river and 3 out of the 4 rooms have an awesome view of it. Rooms were so comfy and the large sectional was great for TV (World Series was on when we were there!). Only thing I could considered a negative (small for me) is the train. We got used to it but it can be a little loud. Some of our party grew up in the city so this was nothing. All in all it definitely didn't ruin the trip for us by any means. Minimal for us. I would definitely recommend but just to keep in mind the train runs in the middle of the night. Again, I slept through most of them but wanted to put it out there.

The house itself was very nice, but the place was infested with cats. We could not leave the house or spend time in the yard without being surrounded by cats. We even had a neighbor's dog make himself comfortable at the front door!

This was the perfect house for a family gathering. Beautiful location and plenty of space. The breakfast par in front of the huge window overlooking the river allowed us to see a bald eagle flying very close every day. The train is loud if you’re sitting outside but inside the sound is very muted. The front porch is amazing and the game room was a lot of fun. John was very responsive when we had an issue. Highly recommend this house!

We had a fantastic weekend at the house! It is beautiful, so much room to spread out or gather together. The front covered porch is amazing, the star of the show! Well maintained, clean and well designed/decorated. The view of the river is perfect from morning coffee to ending the night around a fire. We had the best weekend celebrating a milestone birthday and friendship!
