Just perfect for 2. Our 2nd stay as we have family near by. Each morning Canadian geese took their morning swim, counted nearly 60 one morning. Minutes to dining and shopping. 15 to 30 minutes to numerous outdoor activities.

The cabin is cute and comfortable, very clean. A few minor issues. Had to go to the store for Kcup coffee since the coffee pot is a Keurig (would be helpful to note this in the description or provide the fillable Kcup). Limited counter space for preparing meals, etc. The Wautuga river is very fast moving, would not want to stay there with small children. The river is beautiful and we enjoyed sitting by the fire next to the river. The location is in town, in a so so neighborhood. For mountain views, you just need to drive around. Found some beautiful spots around Wautuga Lake and farther up river. The check in process could use some improvement. Cell service is spotty and the cabin number was not given until I after I messaged the host. By the time I got a response, we had gone to each cabin and tested the code until we found which one it opened. Should maybe give that info to your guests more in advance since the service by the cabins is not great.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights for a kid free get away. We loved the little cabin, it was clean and cozy. The river and fire pit was so relaxing and going to Blue Hole and Js Corner was great too! Thank you for a wonderful stay and we qouod definitely love to come back agian soon!

Highlights from the porch: great blue heron, beaver swimming upstream with branch, geese with six goslings visiting every morning. Truly beautiful. I enjoyed my stay. I was out and about during the day. The location is very convenient and it was easy to get to Johnson City and Blountville to visit family. The cabin is well equipped, clean, and has a comfortable bed. As a senior, I appreciated that there is a ramp up to the deck and entry. My son and his wife enjoyed finishing our evening with campfire on the riverbank. I would love to stay again on my next visit to the area.

My husband is disabled and we don't get to get out much this little cabin was just what we needed we sat outside on the porch early morning watching the dark turn into light the sound of the water trees whistling in the wind the Canadian geese were beautiful cabin was so clean and nicely kept and the host was prompt with everything we needed I definitely found our favorite place thanks for making our 29th anniversary a memorable trip

This is a really nice cabin, immaculately clean and very well-appointed with all the appliances and amenities for a comfortable stay. The mattress was also amazing, better than I have at home. Amazing 65" (I think) TV. Host is very responsive, I appreciated that. I would definitely stay again. I had a hard time finding the cabin, I didn't see any sign by the road, and had to search around. The information that was provided that the cabin was behind the self-storage facility was what finally got me there. When I got there, the cabins were marked 1 through 4, and my reservation didn't say which one was mine, so I had to go cabin to cabin to check the access code on the reservation. Maybe I missed something, would not be the first time. I'd also suggest a small bookcase or shelves below the TV to put clothes on, so guests don't have to work out of their suitcases. And a luggage rack would be nice. I indicate these as constructive criticisms, minor inconveniences, because I really liked, and felt good about, this cabin. Thanks. Tom Parrott

Beds and chairs are bar height. Had to bring porch chairs in for a normal seat. Kitchenette is one hot plate a really small toaster oven and a small microwave. 1 dish rag and 1 dish towel. There were ample bath towels. The location was really nice but won’t stay again. We left a day early it was so uncomfortable.

I recently lost my husband and I came here to reflect, pray, wanting to know where God wants me to go from here. I love the water and the fire pit, but most of all, I love the warmth and coziness of this cabin. I spent most of my time inside. It was even nicer than I pictured it. inside

This place was so beautiful… from the front deck any way… there is a faint dog smell that you will need to cover if you are not a dog person and you will probably need to bring an auxiliary lamp to have by the bed. The only lighting available is overhead lighting.

Watched Canadian geese land on the Doe River from porch, very quiet, cute fish decor, kitchen has everything needed for light meals, very clean, good linens. Highly recommend for 1 person or a couple who want to be close in but still 'waterfront.'

Everything went nicely, well supplied, quiet. There were 4 cabins and the only thing we didn't know was which cabin was ours...we tried the code they gave us and figured it out.

Great place to stay if you’re staying short term easy and easy out view on the river was good, relaxing quiet out of the way Host was very responsive. Would stay there again.

The cottage was peaceful and a perfect place to send my parents to relax. The check in process was a bit odd, the cottages are not clearly marked, they had to guess which cabin was theirs and try their code. Otherwise, this place was perfect. My husband is disabled and we don't get to get out much this little cabin was just what we needed we sat outside on the porch early morning watching the dark turn into light the sound of the water trees whistling in the wind the Canadian geese were beautiful cabin was so clean and nicely kept and the host was prompt with everything we needed I definitely found our favorite place thanks for making our 29th anniversary a memorable trip

The cabin is cute and comfortable, very clean. A few minor issues. Had to go to the store for Kcup coffee since the coffee pot is a Keurig (would be helpful to note this in the description or provide the fillable Kcup). Limited counter space for preparing meals, etc. The Wautuga river is very fast moving, would not want to stay there with small children. The river is beautiful and we enjoyed sitting by the fire next to the river. The location is in town, in a so so neighborhood. For mountain views, you just need to drive around. Found some beautiful spots around Wautuga Lake and farther up river. The check in process could use some improvement. Cell service is spotty and the cabin number was not given until I after I messaged the host. By the time I got a response, we had gone to each cabin and tested the code until we found which one it opened. Should maybe give that info to your guests more in advance since the service by the cabins is not great.

Highlights from the porch: great blue heron, beaver swimming upstream with branch, geese with six goslings visiting every morning. Truly beautiful. I enjoyed my stay. I was out and about during the day. The location is very convenient and it was easy to get to Johnson City and Blountville to visit family. The cabin is well equipped, clean, and has a comfortable bed. As a senior, I appreciated that there is a ramp up to the deck and entry. My son and his wife enjoyed finishing our evening with campfire on the riverbank. I would love to stay again on my next visit to the area.

I loved being near the water. This place was very relaxing and very close to town if you needed to order food or go grab things from pretty much any store. I would definitely come back here!

Over all a nice place! Right next to the river. The only part is when you first drive up it looks like your in a industrial area, but once in the cabin it is cozy and very nice. highly recomend.

I was a little confused when I got to the cabin(s), I was expecting one and there were four so I had to locate the cabin I was to stay in. I was not able to turn on the heating/air conditioning and there were no instructions for the unit. I didn't realize the coffee maker was a keurig so was unprepared too make coffee, it would have been helpful if it was described in the description. There was no chair for sitting except for the kitchen chairs. Big screen TV but if you don't subscribe to a streaming service you can't watch TV. The cabin was clean and nicely decorated but not a place I would bring my wife. A little too primitive for me at my age, I need more comfortable lodging. Also, I messaged the host with three questions and only received one response. I checked out after one night and am requesting a partial refund.
