Ein Modell, den wir in Deutschland seltener kennen. Es war alles so gepflegt und sauber. Die Betten war super bequem. Die Wohnung liegt nicht so zentral zur City, aber es besteht eine gute Bus- und U Bahnverbindung in die Stadt. Für uns war es passend, da wir mit dem Auto anreisten und das Auto dort gut parken konnten. Die Vermieterin, Nancy, war so unfassbar freundlich und bemüht uns einen schönen Aufenthalt zu ermöglichen. What a wonderfully historic and unique location. Gorgeous property and grounds. The restaurant and courtyard were beautiful and an added bonus to enjoy. A little complicated to get to downtown London, but didn’t take long. Very responsive owners who left no question unanswered. Would highly recommend and would stay again. Thank you for making the start of our UK adventure so amazing!

Wir haben 1 Woche in dieser fantastischen Wohnung verbracht. Sie ist für 4 Personen sehr großzügig, hat eine überdurchschnittliche Ausstattung und liegt in einem historischen Gebäude, welches einem den Atem nimmt. Einfach toll! Das Restaurant im gleichen Haus "Le Gothique" ist sehr zu empfehlen. Ein Uber ins Zentrum kostet abends nur noch ca. 18 bis 25 Pfund. Für eine Familie mit kleineren Kindern eingeschränkt zu empfehlen, da Treppen und weit auseinander liegende Schlafzimmer. Für uns mit erwachsenen Kindern aber perfekt. Die Eigentümerin Nancy hat sich reizend um uns per Chat gekümmert. Vielen Dank nochmal.

From the first minute to last a perfect location. Nancy couldn’t be nicer, even helped with navigation from Heathrow. Our 10 day stay couldn’t be better. Quiet, and I mean quite except of course when the relatives from Aberystwyh came to visit. Plenty of room for dinner for 11 and games before they returned to their hotel. The apartment has a feel of a comfortable home. Pictures on the web site are accurate but don’t really do it justice. Free parking is a bonus if you have a car, and the nearby parks make for great walks. Close to everything. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

Sensationell! Einzigartige Unterkunft, spektakulär. Und sauber. Und wunderbar ausgestattet. Das Wlan ist stabil, die Bar/Restaurant unten im Haus genauso praktisch wie der gratis Parkplatz vor der Tür. London City-CITY erreicht man mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln in 45 Minuten, für einen Uber muss man ca. 25 investieren und ist rund 25 Minuten unterwegs. Für diese Mega City also quasi mittendrin, und dafür ist der Preis dann auch geradezu ein Knaller. Immerhin gibt es 2 abgeschlossene Schlafzimmer für je 2 Personen, neben der Küche/Wohnraum Kombination und der Galery mit dem riesigen TV. Die Dusche wie auch das ganze Bad ist modern und geräumig.Nancy, die Vermieterein, ist an Aufmerksam- und Liebeswürdigkeit nicht zu übertreffen. Kommen wir wieder nach London - versuchen wir diese sensationelle Wohnung auf jeden Fall wieder zu buchen! Danke Nancy!

It was clean, had good amenities such as starter food, dish ware, towels, etc. However, no air conditioning so very hot we stayed in an air conditioned hotel for 3 nights. The 10 flights of stairs to front door was a killer and then you have to go up another flight of stairs to get to the bathroom.

Wonderful stay at an amazing apartment. Everything and more available for your stay and Nancy couldn't of made us feel more welcome. Very clean, bright and with lots of space. The building itself is fascinating and steeped in history. The location is beautiful with lots of lovely restaurants nearby. We can't wait to come back soon.

We had a wonderful stay in London and that was due in large part to our stay at Nancy's home. The flat was charming, clean, and cozy. We really appreciated the warm welcome and all of the really great suggestions for restaurants and attractions - only if we had time to experience them all. Overall, this was a great place to stay with easy access to everywhere we wanted to go. And the surrounding area itself was very charming.

Nancy is an amazing host! So welcoming and accommodating. The place was immaculate and clean. I mean, you're staying in a building from the 1850's modernized with a great blend of the old and the new - how much cooler can it get?! Every single room is a special experience. The architecture and decor itself makes Nancy's place as if you're staying in a mini-museum. The surrounding area is also very accessible with delightful coffee shops and bus stops and/or train access between a 5-18 min walk, which made getting into the center of London a breeze. Definitely, if you are looking to stay in a safe area, in a unique abode, with easy transportation access, hosted by a delightful lady, then this is your place. This was one of our favorite places we've ever stayed through VRBO (or similar) both because the place itself is so special and also because Nancy was such a lovely host (and we've stayed in many different places). Two thumbs up! Highly recommend.

To cut a long story short: here you stay in a tastefully and charmingly furnished, spotlessly clean flat with lots of personality. There really is everything you could need for a few days' stay. The hostess is a treasure: helpful, informative and concerned. The nearest bus station is 2 min away, the neighbourhood is pleasantly quiet and yet relatively close to the centre. The house itself has a slight Hogwarts feel :-) Recommendation!

We have enjoyed every bit of our stay. The flat was spotlessly clean, comfortable, a fantastic mix of modern amenities and antiques, full of interesting memorabilia, books and pictures - it almost felt like in a museum. It is within easy reach of central London via bus or train. Nancy was a perfect host, very responsive and caring, making us feel welcome before we even arrived. We would always come back !

First of all, Nancy was amazing from the minute we booked the property through the last day when we left London. She is reachable, kind and super helpful in giving directions and just telling us about the building/surroundings. The apartment is located in a historical building which gives it a very unique look and feel. A true castle at the first glance! I would recommend this location to anyone that's looking to have an authentic experience. We have a family of 4 and everyone had plenty of space to sleep and just have alone time as well. Book it, you won't regret it!! Thank you, Nancy !!

We had a lovely stay at this historic property. The apartment is beautifully furnished and ideally located for strolls across Wandsworth Common and onto surrounding areas. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment and gadgets to allow us to cook and gather round the island. There were quite a few stairs up to the apartment- and down to the courtyard to let the dog out! We soon got used to this. A really quirky property, which we really enjoyed.

Nancy has a wonderful, cozy apartment that—if you don't mind stairs—offers a warm and inviting retreat in this busy city. We really appreciated the personal welcome, the artistic yet very functional furnishings, the spaciousness of the apartment, and the convenient location near bus stops, Clapham Junction, and the pleasantly quiet Wandsworth Common Park. Our little dog was welcomed with his own cozy sleeping mat and a bag of treats—he loved both! I highly recommend a stay at Nancy's apartment in the down-to-earth, diverse, and dynamic south of London!

We loved staying at Nancy’s beautiful treasure of a flat. It was like a museum, in all the best ways. Perfectly furnished and extremely comfortable with everything you would need, the flat is in a historic building that formerly housed an orphanage and school. The flat is in the turret of the building, with high beamed ceilings and stone facades. It is full of memorabilia from a life lived in the Middle East; you could spend all day exploring the art, rugs, and books. You can easily walk to the bus to Vauxhall or take a bit of a longer walk to take the train three stops to Victoria. Or you could explore Wandsworth and Claph shops, restaurants, and pubs. Nancy was a fantastic host, even waiting to greet us when we arrived late at 12:45 AM. She communicated easily with us and left us all kinds of recommendations for attractions and dining. Honestly, we could not have had a better experience and cannot recommend her flat highly enough!

Nancy was a fantastic host, even waiting to greet us when we arrived late at 12:45 AM. She communicated easily with us and left us all kinds of recommendations for attractions and dining. Honestly, we could not have had a better experience and cannot recommend her flat highly enough!

The flat is large and eclectically decorated. It has 3 levels which provides space if you are staying with friends. There are two separate living rooms!The building has interesting history and you can still see some of the old architecture inside the flat. It’s a short 15 minute train ride to London in a quiet neighborhood which has grocery stores and local pubs. Nancy was a wonderful host, friendly and knowledgeable. Both beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is very well stocked. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Nancy!!

This apartment was a lot larger than we expected. It's a little way out of the busyness of London but near two bus routes and we never had to wait long. The kitchen has the most amenities we've ever seen, even a bread maker but we didn't stay long enough to make use of it. Nancy is a very good host and alway available by text. She spoiled us with beautiful yellow roses too. Her place comes with lots of guide books and maps too. We've stayed in lots of homes but none compares to this one. Check out the kitchen before you buy groceries because we found lots of basics ready for us in the fridge. Recommend highly,

The host and Cohost were lovely. They answered all questions promptly and were very accommodating. They offered recommendations on local spots to visit/dine. We were able to use public transit as well as Uber to get around easily. We would stay here again.

Nancy has a wonderful, cozy apartment that—if you don't mind stairs—offers a warm and inviting retreat in this busy city. We really appreciated the personal welcome, the artistic yet very functional furnishings, the spaciousness of the apartment, and the convenient location near bus stops, Clapham Junction, and the pleasantly quiet Wandsworth Common Park. Our little dog was welcomed with his own cozy sleeping mat and a bag of treats—he loved both! I highly recommend a stay at Nancy's apartment in the down-to-earth, diverse, and dynamic south of London!

We had a wonderful stay in London and that was due in large part to our stay at Nancy's home. The flat was charming, clean, and cozy. We really appreciated the warm welcome and all of the really great suggestions for restaurants and attractions - only if we had time to experience them all. Overall, this was a great place to stay with easy access to everywhere we wanted to go. And the surrounding area itself was very charming.

Nancy is an amazing host! So welcoming and accommodating. The place was immaculate and clean. I mean, you're staying in a building from the 1850's modernized with a great blend of the old and the new - how much cooler can it get?! Every single room is a special experience. The architecture and decor itself makes Nancy's place as if you're staying in a mini-museum. The surrounding area is also very accessible with delightful coffee shops and bus stops and/or train access between a 5-18 min walk, which made getting into the center of London a breeze. Definitely, if you are looking to stay in a safe area, in a unique abode, with easy transportation access, hosted by a delightful lady, then this is your place. This was one of our favorite places we've ever stayed through VRBO (or similar) both because the place itself is so special and also because Nancy was such a lovely host (and we've stayed in many different places). Two thumbs up! Highly recommend.

What a wonderful place to stay in London. Nancy is a terrific host, and was so very accommodating when our flights were significantly delayed. She greeted us warmly once we finally arrived, and carefully walked us through the apartment to share details of her lovely home. It is beautifully decorated, and tells such a unique story from a life well lived. Nancy also provided us with a robust guide that detailed everything from various options for getting around London, nearby sights, and recommended places to eat. She pointed us towards the nearby County Arms which turned out to be our favorite pub we visited the entire trip. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay, and we look forward to staying here again in the future.

What a wonderfully historic and unique location. Gorgeous property and grounds. The restaurant and courtyard were beautiful and an added bonus to enjoy. A little complicated to get to downtown London, but didn’t take long. Very responsive owners who left no question unanswered. Would highly recommend and would stay again. Thank you for making the start of our UK adventure so amazing!

We loved staying at Nancy’s beautiful treasure of a flat. It was like a museum, in all the best ways. Perfectly furnished and extremely comfortable with everything you would need, the flat is in a historic building that formerly housed an orphanage and school. From the first minute to last a perfect location. Nancy couldn’t be nicer, even helped with navigation from Heathrow. Our 10 day stay couldn’t be better. Quiet, and I mean quite except of course when the relatives from Aberystwyh came to visit. Plenty of room for dinner for 11 and games before they returned to their hotel. The apartment has a feel of a comfortable home. Pictures on the web site are accurate but don’t really do it justice. Free parking is a bonus if you have a car, and the nearby parks make for great walks. Close to everything. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

To cut a long story short: here you stay in a tastefully and charmingly furnished, spotlessly clean flat with lots of personality. There really is everything you could need for a few days' stay. The hostess is a treasure: helpful, informative and concerned. The nearest bus station is 2 min away, the neighbourhood is pleasantly quiet and yet relatively close to the centre. The house itself has a slight Hogwarts feel :-) Recommendation!

This flat was perfect for our family of four! Our host was amazing from start to finish! Excellent location, very close to the train and quite a few restaurants, shops and groceries. Wandsworth common is a beautiful park right next door. We would definitely stay here again.

The flat in the Royal Victoria Public Building was an adventure into history and world art. Nancy surprised us with fresh flowers on the tables, breakfast fixings in the fridge and wine and sweets for us when we arrived. What an unexpected treat! We had a little trouble getting to the flat but, Nancy was very helpful. Once we knew what bus to take back and forth from the subway, we didn't have any problems getting around London. Nancy left us a very detailed list of where things were located within the flat and nearby restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries and shops. If you want to get away from the city, this is a wonderful location. Our flat was on the 3rd floor which required walking up a number of steps. But, the destination was well worth it!

A little complicated to get to downtown London, but didn’t take long. Very responsive owners who left no question unanswered. Would highly recommend and would stay again. If you're looking for something special, this is the place for you. The apartment is located in a fantastic historic building. The apartment has a truly wonderful character. We felt at home from the very first minute. It's a wonderful mix of antique and new. There's so much to discover...simply fantastic. Nancy is a truly outstanding host. Communication with her was easy, and she had a lot of good information. We received a warm welcome from co-host Sue, and everything was explained to us very well. Drinks and food were already waiting for us. We can recommend it 100 percent. Simply a dream.

Wir haben 1 Woche in dieser fantastischen Wohnung verbracht. Sie ist für 4 Personen sehr großzügig, hat eine überdurchschnittliche Ausstattung und liegt in einem historischen Gebäude, welches einem den Atem nimmt. Einfach toll! Das Restaurant im gleichen Haus "Le Gothique" ist sehr zu empfehlen. Ein Uber ins Zentrum kostet abends nur noch ca. 18 bis 25 Pfund. Für eine Familie mit kleineren Kindern eingeschränkt zu empfehlen, da Treppen und weit auseinander liegende Schlafzimmer. Für uns mit erwachsenen Kindern aber perfekt. Die Eigentümerin Nancy hat sich reizend um uns per Chat gekümmert. Vielen Dank nochmal.

Communication and information provided from owner was very helpful immediately from booking.We were met on arrival and shown around, lovely food and drink package which was a real surprise and all beds made and towels supplied.Fully equipped great apartment wouldn't hesitate to rebook.

Sensationell! Einzigartige Unterkunft, spektakulär. Und sauber. Und wunderbar ausgestattet. Das Wlan ist stabil, die Bar/Restaurant unten im Haus genauso praktisch wie der gratis Parkplatz vor der Tür. London City-CITY erreicht man mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln in 45 Minuten, für einen Uber muss man ca. 25 investieren und ist rund 25 Minuten unterwegs. Für diese Mega City also quasi mittendrin, und dafür ist der Preis dann auch geradezu ein Knaller. Immerhin gibt es 2 abgeschlossene Schlafzimmer für je 2 Personen, neben der Küche/Wohnraum Kombination und der Galery mit dem riesigen TV. Die Dusche wie auch das ganze Bad ist modern und geräumig.Nancy, die Vermieterein, ist an Aufmerksam- und Liebeswürdigkeit nicht zu übertreffen. Kommen wir wieder nach London - versuchen wir diese sensationelle Wohnung auf jeden Fall wieder zu buchen! Danke Nancy!

Nach einer freundlichen und informativen Kommunikation schon vor unserer Reise hatten wir in London einen wunderbaren Empfang bei Nancy mit besonderen Aufmerksamkeiten, mit Rotwein und Prosecco und einigen Lebensmitteln im Kühlschrank. Wir haben uns in den 5 Tagen und Nächten sehr wohl gefühlt und bestens geschlafen. Natürlich waren wir die ganzen Tage unterwegs in der Stadt, die gut mit dem Bus zu erreichen ist. Diese Wohnung ist die beste und persönlichste Alternative zu den oft lauten Hotelzimmern im Zentrum von London. Und das Auto parkte zufrieden vor der Haustür ! Herzlichen Dank für dieses Zuhause in der Fremde !

The flat was perfect for us. Nancy was very welcoming from the first contact and accepted our two little dogs. She made us feel very welcome. It was very easy and we were made to feel at home. We are very grateful for her hospitality and highly recommend the flat. The building block is peaceful and has a lovely courtyard/garden and it is right next to Wandsworth Common. We had a great say. Thank you!

Die Wohnung ist wirklich toll und alles andere als normal. Trotz der Größe ist es sehr gemütlich und wir haben uns schnell wohl gefühlt. Nancy ist sehr darauf bedacht das dir nichts fehlt und man sich voll und ganz auf die Zeit in der Stadt konzentrieren kann. Dahin kommt man auch sehr gut und günstig mit dem Bus der nur ein paar Meter entfernt hält. Es war eine tolle Zeit und werden bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal da gewesen sein.
Die Wohnung ist wirklich toll und alles andere als normal. Trotz der Größe ist es sehr gemütlich und wir haben uns schnell wohl gefühlt.
