\"The Barn at Sunset Lane\" - Spacious 4BR Home on 16 Acres

Best vacation rental I've ever stayed at. Our second stay there. We were left wanting for nothing. So roomy, open, accomodating for lots of conversation. Four bedrooms, each great. The host knew we were planning a fire in their beautiful outdoor setting and he set it up FOR us while we were away! I cannot recommend this place enough.

This place and it’s owners were amazing! So much that I already booked the “barn” for next year the day we departed. The owner knew we were coming in with large trucks and trailers and cleared an area for us to turn our trucks around and park in the field and provided helpful tips when pulling in to avoid any problems. The inside of the “barn” was fantastic. I have been to my share of rentals and this is now the gold standard for my expectations. All of the little things made us feel like we were coming home versus a rental were there. From small toiletries in case your forgot yours when packing, the coffee bar, to the cute background stories of the barn throughout the house and just the overall decor. After our trip on the trails at the end of the day we really enjoyed sitting on the front porch and enjoying the sunsets. My 7yr old did not want to leave! Great job to the owners and we look forward to our stay in 2024!!

We arrived after dark and were a little concerned that it might be hard to find since it is pretty rural. Though well set back from the road, which we loved, the barn site was very well marked and lit with a cute sign. We were delighted as soon as we entered as it was exactly as listed, so clean and darling. I've never stayed in lodging that was this well stocked with everything you could need and so many unexpected touches! Written instructions throughout were very helpful, clear and so friendly - one of our ladies said it felt like we knew the owners and that she would have liked to meet them! Even the outside area with the firepit was perfectly stocked - everything you could possibly need and want. The rural aspect was so nice and it helped us wind down on the short drive after all the shopping we did during the day. We would absolutely stay here again!

We spent Father’s Day weekend with our two little ones and parents for a short getaway. The barn was spotless with many great details and little touches that made our stay more comfortable. The owners also had great suggestions on activities and places to eat in town. We loved spending the even around the fire pit and catching fireflies around the yard. Each morning we enjoyed coffee on the porch watching the deer roam the grounds. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

My husband and I stayed her with our adult children, spouse, infant & toddler grandchildren. The space was perfect and as described. Nice open living area to gather with quiet spacious bedrooms. Casey was great with communication and was available when needed and very responsive. Great dinage and directions throughout the space made it very convenient. The outdoor space looked fun with a fully set up fire ring. It was too chilly for us this weekend but definitely a plus if you visit in the summer. Getting to the barn is back an old road as described. It could be an issue if there is snow. It was not an issue for us but worth mentioning. All in all a great place for a group visit. We are sisters who like to get away once a year for a relaxing time to catch up on our lives and keep close as we are getting older and busy with our own families. This was just the right place for that. It was so clean, spacious and well decorated. There were many small touches that made us feel very welcome. The fire pit area was perfect, that is something we always look for and enjoy. I would recommend this to others looking for a peaceful, quiet, relaxing atmosphere to escape your busy life for a while.

Nice, clean, cost efficient place to stay especially compared to having to stay in a hotel in town. We travelled to Killbuck to visit a family farm nearby. This is a converted barn on a main home property. The owners had attentive communication. The place was very clean, nicely decorated, with helpful signs posted and amenities considered for guests. You can tell that the owners care about this rental being a good experience. We would happily stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay! The house is beautiful—immaculately clean, cozy, and clearly well cared for. The surrounding land was peaceful and secluded, which made for a truly relaxing getaway. It was just what we needed.The only thing we hadn’t expected was how close the owners' home was to the rental; they’re right next door. That said, they were very friendly and respectful of our space, only using the barn's driveway a couple of times during our stay.It was also a little tricky to find the road at first—GPS makes it look like you’re turning into someone’s private driveway, when it’s actually more of a main access road. Just something to be aware of when you arrive.Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, restful place to unwind. Kid friendly!!!

I was looking to do a nice getaway before the craziness of the holiday season. The listing looked great and the pictures looked excellent. I loved the idea of staying at a converted barn. The last 30 minutes of the drive were narrow rustic roads. It was a great sign for what I was looking for - secluded, but also somewhat close to grocery shopping. The signage for the house was the best I\'ve ever seen (kudos to the owners). Pros: - Instructions to get into the house were very straight=forward. - Upon entering, the main floor was very clean. It was a cold day upon arrival, so the heat from the stove in the living room felt great. - The kitchen had just about anything you could ask for. - As others have said, these owners thought about just about everything to equip the house for a stay. - Being in the 20s for most of the trip, couldn\'t use the outside, but there was a nice little firepit area by the house with lights. - Not usually a fan of leather couches, but this one was one of the best I\'ve ever used. Cons: - As much as the main floor felt clean, The bed in the master bedroom had a few issues. It looked as though folks had slept in the bed as the bed had leaves in it. There was also a hole (burn mark?) in the mattress sheet. - If you\'re coming in winter, be sure to bring a humidifier or two. The house got quite dry and wreaked a bit of havoc on the sinuses. - Not the fault of the owners, but the power went out on three separate occasions - usually for a few hours each time. To the credit of the owner, he brought over a generator until the power went back on so we could have some lights and the fridge could stay cool. - Probably the biggest con for me was the internet. I know its a rustic environment, but I would have loved to see words like "limited internet" in the listing. The house has smart TVs, so a VRBO browser would immediately expect that the internet would be adequate enough to run the TVs. Instead it is a VERY LIMITED use internet via verizon hotspot. Luckily I had a personal hotspot plan I used, but would have like the transparency prior to booking, not upon arrival. Overall: Despite the few cons, I did enjoy the stay. You couldn\'t find a nicer owner in Casey. He did all that he could when the power went out. I would recommend staying here if you plan on going on several excursions (the owner has lots of pamphlets and info for that). Thank you for sharing your rental with the VRBO community.

Our stay at this property was a fantastic experience. The property was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, exceeding our expectations. Everything was as described in the listing. One aspect that we particularly appreciated were the amenities provided. The property truly felt like a home away from home. It was the perfect location in the hills and beautiful with an open field in front. The place was clean, had everything we needed including the space for all the adults and kids. The fire pit area was a great touch and the owners went out of their way to help us with a few things. The story behind the barn made it even more special. We had the best time and can’t wait to return!

I rented this house for my bridal party to stay in the night before the wedding and we also used it to have our hair and makeup done! The house supplied us with everything we needed, the hosts were easy to contact, and it just added even more timeless memories to the entire wedding weekend! The check-in and check-out process were easy and laid out in detail for us, a binder of information for what we needed to know, and all of the rooms were very spacious.

My mom was visiting from Texas so we decided to take her to Amish country to see the beautiful fall scenery. The Barn at Sunset was the perfect family retreat! The drive there from the Columbus area was gorgeous and the barn’s setting was just perfect! My daughter said it was the prettiest place we’ve ever stayed! The house is so nicely furnished and just immaculate! The hosts are wonderful and very easy to communicate with. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Our stay at “The Barn at Sunset Lane” was nothing short of amazing. I live in Florida but grew up in Ohio and wanted to show my new family a little bit of ‘home’. The property is remote, peaceful, and exactly what I was hoping for. The girls loved being able to run around outside, chase lightning bugs, watch deer, and make smores. They are already looking forward to another trip. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the memorable trip!

What a wonderful, secluded cozy place to stay. The owners were amazing! We were out in the country but close enough for amenities. So clean, and all the little notes around the place were adorable, and left no room for questions. We love it, and hope to get back there soon!
