Beautiful, cozy cabin right on the lake. We enjoyed the paddleboat, charcoal grill and firepit! If you happen to forget anything there’s a Walmart not too far away. View is amazing and we loved having our morning coffee on the deck. Fireplace was nice too! Cabin is well equipped with everything you need and our host is so kind!

Cozy little cottage with a wonderful deck area....soooo relaxing!! Loved the little porch/sunroom too! Amy was quick to respond if we had a question & she had so many extras at the cottage...kitchen was well equipped....bed was very comfortable....bathroom was great with a washer & dryer too. Tons of movies & games....would definitely stay again😊

What an amazing vacation. We drove up and the front of the house was so cute and inviting. I couldn’t wait to open the door after reading all of the reviews. The entry is roomy, so we were able to bring our things in the front door and drop them while we figure out where to keep it all. The 2nd bedroom isn’t huge, but it works great as a place to sleep. The main bedroom had a closet, dresser and side tables ready for your USB devices. The mattress was so comfy that we bought one for our own bed at home. The bathroom is big and it has a washer and dryer. I am always prepared, so I brought plenty of items just in case like Ziploc bags, trash bags, aluminum foil, etc. Nope. No need. Everything you need is already there. We spent lots of time on the deck and took advantage of the paddleboat. The lake is murky, but welcome to Indiana lakes. We didn’t have luck fishing either, but we had a good time trying. We used the charcoal grill to make brats, and we used the fire pit to make s’mores. It was calming, peaceful and relaxing. What more could you want?

We stayed at the sweet lake cottage with our son and his fiance. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you would need to prepare a meal. The lakefront deck provided amazing views and was a perfect place to enjoy that first cup of coffee. ThePaddle boat and fishing poles provided lots of fun as did tbe lakefront firepit.

This peopert lacks NOTHING!! Not only is it beautiful and cozy, the owner has thought of everything to make the stay more wonderfull. We really enjoyed the paddle pontoon too. Oh yeah, the lake is nice too ! 🙂

The property and home very well maintained. It truly feels like home away from home. They have so many added touches that make you feel right at home. The home very clean, fresh smelling and inviting as soon as you enter the house. This is our first time staying at the house, but definitely plan to stay again.

We enjoyed our stay here for the second time! The house was clean, spacious, fully furnished and had the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The lake out back is beautiful! The host was very responsive, attentive and helpful!

Inside was very clean and the host provided earthing and anything we might need minus our food. We enjoyed the pier to fish which we were successful catching several. We were disappointed with state of the outdoor space. It definitely could use some housekeeping.

We genuinely enjoyed our stay. The lake was beautiful and it was nice having the town so close by. The cottage was nicely stocked with amenities. Our one complaint was the bed was extremely soft with a foam mattress topper. Both my husband and I prefer a firmer mattress. Short of that, we have zero complaints and look forward to visiting again.

This exceeded our expectations. It was warm and welcoming and the owners had thought of so many things that made the visit nice. Location is wonderful with a great view of the lake. Right on a highway but the house was very quiet. We used it as a base for our visit to Chain O Lakes park. Very convenient

This is a nice and spacious cabin, right on the lake. The cabin is well appointed and supplied, and clearly well cared for. The back deck would be very nice for the summertime (not so much for us in winter). I took one star off for location because the front of the cabin is right on the highway (set back a bit), with neighbors all around. However, sitting in the back you may not notice.

Very cute place inside and love the patio view. Dont let the outside front view of the neighborhood worry you at first.. just walk in and go to the back lake view. Very quiet in the house, comfy and cuteness all around. Really enjoyed the stay and will book again. It would be perfect for a family with small children based on the bedroom size. Teens dont work as well with the bunks and futon. We used the couch and bunk and it worked fine. The other option is an air mattress and the enclosed porch. Two thumbs up overall!

I have stayed at quite a few VRBOs and this hands down is the most cozy I have ever felt. The beds are comfy and the sheets a delight. The lake is a joy to just watch everything from tubers from 1-4 pm to small turtles looking around in the morning. There are quite a few toys, games, puzzles and books for the littles but you never feel like you are surrounded by kid stuff. It is the small touches that really impressed me: the flower on the handle of the sink stopper or the candles placed around to use or the fairy garden down by the dock or coffee station at the ready. It is really a lovely place and we had a fabulous stay!

This was our second year to enjoy time at the Lake Cottage. The "lake" theme is tastefully carried throughout. Access to the paddle boat and the canoe is a plus. Really enjoy waking up in the morning, sitting on the deck, and enjoying the view across the lake. The owners are wonderful to work with. We will definitely be looking to rent it for a third time.

The host provided everything guests needed and more. The place was lovely and peaceful - just what we wanted. Beautiful lake view from the deck. Loved the fact that bottles of cold water were in the refrigerator for us when we arrived - much needed and so thoughtful. I use a walker and all rooms, porch and deck were accessible.

We enjoyed our stay here for the second time! The house was clean, spacious, fully furnished and had the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The lake out back is beautiful! The host was very responsive, attentive and helpful!

This exceeded our expectations. It was warm and welcoming and the owners had thought of so many things that made the visit nice. Location is wonderful with a great view of the lake. Right on a highway but the house was very quiet. We used it as a base for our visit to Chain O Lakes park. Very convenient

Wonderful weekend, clean and comfortable home on a beautiful lake. Kitchen stocked with pans and appliances so it was easy to cook and we enjoyed our meals on the deck. Quiet neighborhood and can't say enough praise of the lakeview. Nice grass area that was stocked with firewood. Host has thought of everything, even chargers in main bedroom for phones. Roku, puttgolf game and fishing poles!!! 5 stars

We had such an amazing stay! The house is adorable and was just perfect for us! They thought of anything you could need! Amy was so helpful and went out of her way to make sure we had a great time! We will definitely be back next year! Thank you!!

We were extremely pleased with this gem! The place was clean, host was easy to contact, and we enjoyed the boat and firepit. The bed was comfortable and the host paid a lot of attention to details. Overall, an excellent experience that I would recommend to others.

Beautiful, cozy cabin right on the lake. We enjoyed the paddleboat, charcoal grill and firepit! If you happen to forget anything there’s a Walmart not too far away. View is amazing and we loved having our morning coffee on the deck. Fireplace was nice too! Cabin is well equipped with everything you need and our host is so kind!

This is a nice and spacious cabin, right on the lake. The cabin is well appointed and supplied, and clearly well cared for. The back deck would be very nice for the summertime (not so much for us in winter). I took one star off for location because the front of the cabin is right on the highway (set back a bit), with neighbors all around. However, sitting in the back you may not notice.

Very cute place inside and love the patio view. Dont let the outside front view of the neighborhood worry you at first.. just walk in and go to the back lake view. Very quiet in the house, comfy and cuteness all around. Really enjoyed the stay and will book again. It would be perfect for a family with small children based on the bedroom size. Teens dont work as well with the bunks and futon. We used the couch and bunk and it worked fine. The other option is an air mattress and the enclosed porch. Two thumbs up overall!

My family really needed a relaxing lakefront getaway and this property definitely met those needs. We found that the property is close enough to many great restaurants and within decent driving distance of a few cities. We will be staying here again during the summer months.

We just spent our 4th new year retreat at Skinner Lake cottage. It is so peaceful, comfortably furnished, close to great places to eat and shop. We bring all our books, make a meal or tea, and relax. Monday was sunny and we had our coffee and read out on the deck. We love this place!

We were just in for a weekend getaway, this spot was perfect. Great view and access to the lake. My boys enjoyed going out fishing and just being outside. Everything was good!

We genuinely enjoyed our stay. The lake was beautiful and it was nice having the town so close by. The cottage was nicely stocked with amenities. Our one complaint was the bed was extremely soft with a foam mattress topper. Both my husband and I prefer a firmer mattress. Short of that, we have zero complaints and look forward to visiting again.

Cozy little cottage with a wonderful deck area....soooo relaxing!! Loved the little porch/sunroom too! Amy was quick to respond if we had a question & she had so many extras at the cottage...kitchen was well equipped....bed was very comfortable....bathroom was great with a washer & dryer too. Tons of movies & games....would definitely stay again😊

The property was just as listed. It was the perfect size for my Husband and me. It would also accommodate a family. The deck was a good size with a great view. The house was well equipped (toiletries/spices, etc.) that made it convenient when cooking. I was impressed how organized and easy to find blankets, remote/fireplace directions, etc. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

What an amazing vacation. We drove up and the front of the house was so cute and inviting. I couldn’t wait to open the door after reading all of the reviews. The entry is roomy, so we were able to bring our things in the front door and drop them while we figure out where to keep it all. The 2nd bedroom isn’t huge, but it works great as a place to sleep. The main bedroom had a closet, dresser and side tables ready for your USB devices. The mattress was so comfy that we bought one for our own bed at home. The bathroom is big and it has a washer and dryer. I am always prepared, so I brought plenty of items just in case like Ziploc bags, trash bags, aluminum foil, etc. Nope. No need. Everything you need is already there. We spent lots of time on the deck and took advantage of the paddleboat. The lake is murky, but welcome to Indiana lakes. We didn’t have luck fishing either, but we had a good time trying. We used the charcoal grill to make brats, and we used the fire pit to make s’mores. It was calming, peaceful and relaxing. What more could you want?

Inside was very clean and the host provided earthing and anything we might need minus our food. We enjoyed the pier to fish which we were successful catching several. We were disappointed with state of the outdoor space. It definitely could use some housekeeping.

We stayed at the sweet lake cottage with our son and his fiance. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you would need to prepare a meal. The lakefront deck provided amazing views and was a perfect place to enjoy that first cup of coffee. ThePaddle boat and fishing poles provided lots of fun as did tbe lakefront firepit.

Very comfortable, inviting and accessible.Area was very peaceful.Dock area was very clean and presented no hazards or overgrowth for swimming or docking.We look forward to booking another stay as we do not live very far yet the location allows for relaxation and escape from the hustle and bustle of normal life.

The house was so cozy and comfortable thay we decided we would just hang out there all day. The kitchen had everything we needed. Pedal boat at the dock was super fun, and the life vests provided were clean. The waterfront area was perfect for soaking up a quiet lake. We saw a ton of birds big and small - osprey, herons, swans, swifts darting over the water, hummingbirds at the feeder. We did end up using the folding chairs in the sun room for our outdoor lunch, because the birds had messed up the deck chairs. Didn't hold us back! This was a perfect little spot for a calm retreat.

The side table on the far side in the queen room was real dirty. The black ants (as big as chickens) in the house were annoying. Otherwise, things were great. It didn’t hurt me at all to wipe the side table. Our girls weekend was wonderful. We even got to see the pair of swans swim by.
