Stylish House with Ocean Views Hot Tub Game Room

This house is great—I only gave it one less star due to a couple of things we didn't like. I wish the BBQ was located on the deck; it was neither fun nor convenient to BBQ in the driveway. Since the BBQ must be returned to the garage after use, it didn’t make sense to haul it around to the back of the house, especially with no easy path to do so. It would have been much nicer to grill on the back patio/deck while enjoying the ocean view. I suggest the owner consider getting a cover for the BBQ and placing it on the deck. Also, just a heads-up to future guests: the private beach access isn’t really worth it. The steep concrete stairs have a makeshift handrail made from a garden hose, which ends before you reach the beach. Once at the bottom, you have to navigate piles of driftwood and a small creek, which makes access both challenging and potentially dangerous. You're better off driving to Seaside Beach, just 30 seconds north by car. Besides these minor inconveniences, the home is nicely updated and has all the necessary amenities. The beds are very comfortable, and the primary bedroom has a great en suite shower. There are also three full bathrooms, which was a big plus! One other note: although the listing says it’s in Fort Bragg, the house is actually about 14 miles north of downtown—closer to Westport and just past Inglenook. It takes a bit of time to drive into Fort Bragg, so plan accordingly. That said, the home is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood. The rooms are large and clean, and it’s a peaceful retreat overall. I would recommend it to anyone looking to get away from the city.

We had wonderful vacation at Sand Dollar Shore. The location was close to a beautiful beach, that offered scenic walks and lots of wildlife to admire. It was also close to our favorite beach, Pudding Creek, as well as tasty resultants and fun shopping. The house was well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy relaxing evenings. Including home cooked meals, a hot tub, comfortable bedding and games for the kids & adults. We look forward to another stay here in the future. Everyone was sad to leave.

Our family has had many great trips staying at Fort Bragg, in hotels. This trip was especially wonderful because we stayed at Sand Dollar Shore. The location has access to a beautiful beach our family enjoyed very much. We saw all kinds of sea life along the rocks and took many scenic walks on the beach. Then we were able to relax in a home that was well stocked with everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and the comfortable beds. We were also only a few miles from great shopping and tasty restaurants. We plan to reserve the house next year. The whole family was sad to leave.

It was the best family vacation in a long while. We enjoyed the nearby tide pools, sand dunes and beach. Perfect place for grandparents, kids and grandkids. The home provided everything we could want.

The house is extremely clean, and the lack of carpeting makes it feel that much cleaner. It is very cozy; the fireplace keeps it that way even without carpeting. Its in a lovely neighborhood; we walked to the beach with a cocktail every evening before dinner. The game room and hot tub are great for kids and grownups alike. Kitchen has any appliance you could ever use. It is about 15 minutes to Ft Bragg, which makes day trips super easy. The "no-pets" policy is fantastic for my wife and son who have allergies. I have nothing bad to say about this house. Most importantly, neither did my wife or mother! And that is an accomplishment in and of itself. I would just ask that the owner and manager keep it pet free and clean so we can come back next year! Thank you!
