This place was magnificent, the area was beautiful and quiet, there is a small creek on the side that brings peaceful sounds 24/7. There is a residential cabin next door , but it's far enough away for privacy . I seen the resident outside , and I guess that he understands what vacation meant and didn't say anything to me , so the next day I spoke to him , and he was just one of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet .he informed me of how to conduct myself in nature , and also directed me to some very nice restaurants.The cabin was clean and inviting, the hot tub was clean and secluded..but , but , I CANT GET OVER THE HOST I didn't hear anything at all from the host period while I was there , NOT EVEN A REMINDER TO CHECK OUT . this made me feel like they treated me like.an adult, knowing the check out time , and trusted me to respect it , and of course I did . Most places start reminding you 2 days in advance about check out times and that makes me feel like they are ready for me to get out immediately. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook with , the central air will run you out even on a blistering day . The place is well lit , so even night time activities are ok ..I would definitely recommend this place for a couple , or even a small family . I'll be back once it's cold again.

Love the property. Private and cozy with Jacuzzi tub indoors and hot tub outdoors. Good TVs and Internet connectivity, The listing is accurate. But , for the expense of the property the mattresses should be kept up to date. There are two beds and both have lumpy worn mattresses. If it weren't for the uncomfortable beds (and that is very important) and the fact my girlfriend and I both woke up sore from their poor condition, I would give 5 stars. But 4 stars it is. Honestly, probably not quite worth the price until the owner improves the mattresses.

My husband and I enjoyed our little getaway from life at this cute and cozy little cabin! It was just perfect in every way! It was very clean and well kept up too! From the fire pit out back to roast some marshmallows and have a drink, to the amazing hot tub, to the jacuzzi in the living room, it was just all around so nice and romantic! We found ourselves saying multiple times just how cozy and nice this place really was for a good little reconnect! It wasn’t as secluded as we were expecting, but that’s okay we still really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be coming back in the near future! Thanks so much for sharing your cozy little place with us for a few days!!

This was our second time staying in the area with this VRBO. We previously stayed in the cabin across the way. The cabins are beautiful and stocked with coffee, dishes, dish/dishwasher soap, pots, pans, etc. The beds are comfortable and the cabins are tastefully furnished (2 beds) and even have a washer and dryer (oh, and a hot tub AND a jacuzzi tub)! I feel so relaxed in the woods, sitting on the porch with coffee or around the fire pit. It is so quiet and peaceful. We love it there and will stay there again and again (it is only a few dollars more than the hotels in Fort Payne). Stay there - you won't be sorry.

So enjoyed our quick stay at Southern Charm! So close to DeSoto State Park, Little River Canyon, shops and restaurants. This cute, little cabin in the woods really made us feel away from it all. Loved the hot tub, which was heated and ready to go. Also, appreciated the great communication with the property manager. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed the cabin very much. I would add in the listing that there is no indoor fireplace and the proximity of the other cabins.The hot tub was great although the water was cold when we arrived.

We stayed at this cabin for a mini excursion after our wedding. I was impressed with how clean the cabin was - the sheets, pillows, and blankets all smelled fresh and clean, which I appreciate - it's always good to know that the property owner ensures these items are cleaned in between visits. The hot tub was lovely as well, but the outdoor one never got warm enough for us to use comfortably while being outside (it was only in the high 60s/low 70s outside). We did try to adjust the temperature, but eventually we gave up and went inside because we were chilly. The kitchen has only the bare necessities, so if you plan on cooking, be sure to pick up any items you may need (the cabin has no seasonings or condiments of any kind). The location is great - you are within minutes of desoto state park and 10-15 minutes to fort payne, which has restaurants, grocery stores, and shops nearby. While the cabin is quite small (I don't think more than 3 people could stay here comfortably), it is very nice and we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed for 3 nights the cabin was perfect for 2. We loved the feel of the place although it’s close to other cabins it was quiet ! Enjoyed the jacuzzi tub inside almost more than the hot tub outside. Wonderful views! Loved that it had a washer and dryer.

It’s a very small and cozy cabin, but could certainly use a better cleaning crew. The neighbors are also hoarders, so that certainly takes away from the charm. Could be a nice place with some cleanup.

Our experience was excellent here. We had a great time. The only negative comment I have is how uncomfortable the bed was. We rolled to the middle and kept us from resting very well but other than that our time spent here was perfection. It was a much needed get a way and we would definitely come back.

It was truly peaceful and close to the places we wanted to visit! The falls in these areas are so beautiful! The cabin was cozy and quiet! We were thankful to have a washer and dryer, because we were able to wash clothes a couple of times. Jacuzzi tub was warm and clean. Beds were awkward and concave, but overall and very nice stay!

This place was magnificent, the area was beautiful and quiet, there is a small creek on the side that brings peaceful sounds 24/7. There is a residential cabin next door , but it's far enough away for privacy . I seen the resident outside , and I guess that he understands what vacation meant and didn't say anything to me , so the next day I spoke to him , and he was just one of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet .he informed me of how to conduct myself in nature , and also directed me to some very nice restaurants.The cabin was clean and inviting, the hot tub was clean and secluded..but , but , I CANT GET OVER THE HOST I didn't hear anything at all from the host period while I was there , NOT EVEN A REMINDER TO CHECK OUT . this made me feel like they treated me like.an adult, knowing the check out time , and trusted me to respect it , and of course I did . Most places start reminding you 2 days in advance about check out times and that makes me feel like they are ready for me to get out immediately. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook with , the central air will run you out even on a blistering day . The place is well lit , so even night time activities are ok ..I would definitely recommend this place for a couple , or even a small family . I'll be back once it's cold again.

The only downside was when booking, we didn't realize there were other cabins so close by. That still didn't take away from what the cabin offered. The cabin was everything we needed for a short weekend getaway. Everything was clean and ready when we got there just as the description stated.

Celebrating our 30th anniversary. We wanted a quiet cozy getaway so we chose Southern Charm. Everything was just as listed, nothing was misleading. Very clean, stocked as expected. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the indoor jetted jacuzzi. We sat on the porch and drank coffee in the early morning and 3 deer passed thru the back yard and didn’t seem to mind us watching at all. We saw a fox and raccoon that night. There is a couple cabins nearby but not too close and it does not take away from the privacy of Southern Charm. I honestly don’t have anything negative that I can say… we totally enjoyed our stay. We planned to view the waterfalls but due to the drought the waterfalls were barely flowing but the views were beautiful anyway. We walked a couple trails nearby and a boardwalk that was really easy if you have limitations. We enjoyed our stay and definitely plan to return to stay at the Southern Charm again and definitely recommend it! Oh, just a little advice…if your coming in at dark be sure to bring food, drinks or snacks in case the train tracks at the bottom of the mountain are blocked. We planned to eat out after unpacking and there was another way to get out but us not knowing the mountain roads we chose to return to the cabin and eat the snacks we had and go out in the morning. Still had a perfect anniversary getaway!

So enjoyed our quick stay at Southern Charm! So close to DeSoto State Park, Little River Canyon, shops and restaurants. This cute, little cabin in the woods really made us feel away from it all. Loved the hot tub, which was heated and ready to go. Also, appreciated the great communication with the property manager. Highly recommend!

Me and my family went for a little get away and this place so was amazing! My son said it was the best place ever. Super clean. Host was very responsive to a request we had. Beautiful scenery. Literally have nothing but good things to say!! Def a must when staying in Mentone.

It was truly peaceful and close to the places we wanted to visit! The falls in these areas are so beautiful! The cabin was cozy and quiet! We were thankful to have a washer and dryer, because we were able to wash clothes a couple of times. Jacuzzi tub was warm and clean. Beds were awkward and concave, but overall and very nice stay!

Overall great experience. Only complaint: we could never get the hot tub to heat up to optimal hot tub temperature; it would read 100F, but felt more like 80s-low 90s.

Clean cabin overall. However, the beds were not comfortable but very hard. We bought a topper so we could sleep. Hot tub water was good first night. But was not the next night. Very quite and pretty close to falls, brow park, etc.

Host had it all covered - anything we needed was in stock at the house. Instruction manuals easily accessible, helpful extra info like wifi password and key code all in plenty advance, and all the supplies to clean up after ourselves. Perfect getaway opportunity and wouldn't hesitate to rebook it.
