A very nice historic home with a seasonal view of the river. It is a walkable location convenient to downtown Newburgh. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Arrival was stressful because our door code didn't work. The host called back quickly and gave us another code to use. She also warned us that it may smell like skunk inside as a skunk has gotten under the house before and the cleaning people stated they smelled it again. She stated that she would issue a refund if it smelled bad. Fortunately when we went in it did not smell because there were no other vacancies in the area. We did see a skunk one night while sitting on the back porch. The house was very clean besides some stains on one of the bed benches. The seat cushions on the back porch were moldy and stained. The complimentary snacks were a nice jesture. There were a lot of leaves on the back porch and in the grass. This made it hard with taking dogs out to potty. Didn't care for the on street parking as there was a lot of traffic on the street. The steps in front of the house were hard to see as no one cleared the leaves. The bedroom door handle fell off. It's the old glass handle style. The couch was uncomfortable to us but the beds weren't bad. The house appeared to be in a nice neighborhood.

Great historical home near the heart of Newburgh convenient access to Evansville and nearby attractions. Parking however is on the street and steps up to the home were difficult to climb for the older folks in our family. Only Two bedrooms on the main level, the two twin beds are up a very narrow and steep staircase off one of the bedrooms. We enjoyed the very nice updated kitchen and used it quite a bit to cook during our stay. Hosts were great to communicate with and made checking in very easy! Area is very nice, quiet and safe!

A dirty fork was found under my bedside table. None of us had eaten in the bedroom so it wasn’t from us.
