Happy Trails Hideout w/ New Bunk House & Hot Tub!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home! The house was spacious, spotless, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. The pool and hot tub were fantastic and quickly became our favorite features.The owner was incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the entire process, making our stay even more enjoyable. It was clear that great care has been taken to provide guests with all the amenities needed for a memorable experience.We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place to stay. If we're ever back in the area, we will definitely book this house again!

The kitchen was fairly well stocked with utensils. We weren't fully aware of what was available so we brought most of what we needed. Apparently we weren't supposed to go into a supply closet to get towels. It was not marked private or locked so we thought we had access. Sorry for that. All we used from there was towels. We did not use the pool. Parking was limited. The place overall was nice and we would stay there again now that we know the situation. Most people that go to lake fork go to fish. They need a place to park their boats.

This property is in a beautiful setting. The house was very nice and clean, and along with the bunkhouse, effectively met our family’s needs. The kitchen was well stocked. Our family really enjoyed the pool.We feel, however, that the property description was somewhat misleading. It is described as a “lakeside getaway”, “steps to Lake Fork”, and “On the water: Lake Fork (walking distance)”. The closest walk to Lake Fork is not a short distance, and it is down a busy road with no shoulder most of the way, and when you get to the lake from that walk, there’s no lake access.More attention is needed to the outside of the house. The porches’ lights and fans, patios, and around the pool deck are covered with cobwebs and dirt. In addition, we were never able to get the large TV in the living area (with the leather couch and recliners) to work.

If you’re looking for a quiet place to retreat to, this is it! The home is very comfortable with lots of outdoor spaces to enjoy. Beds and linens were great! There were birds galore and deer on property. Sulphur Springs is about 20 minutes away and has a cute town square for shopping and lunch.
