This was the most relaxing, yet fun filled vacation we have ever had! We only left the cabin twice during our week stay. We spent most our time down by the pond. We caught and released countless fish. My husband and daughter enjoyed the jon boat several times. We enjoyed the ring game on the porch, the Cornhole boards, the horseshoes and the fire pit. The property is quiet and secluded. We had breakfast on the screened in porch every morning. I HIGHLY recommend this property. Side note: watch for hornets on the dock. I got stung by 3 hornets within a few minutes of being there. Thankfully my husband located hornet and wasp spray and took care of them so we could enjoy the dock. The cabin is well stocked for cooking also. I can't say enough good things about it here! We will be back!

Great communication with the owner. The directions Jeannie gave lead us right to cabin. The accuracy of the listing was true. We liked the ease of keyless entry. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals. We enjoyed our meals out on the screen in deck, so relaxing. We didn’t have a chance to play horseshoe or use the fire pit. The outside area around the cabin was well maintained. We enjoyed our time down at the pond, we caught bass and bluegill. If one had problems going up steps I wouldn’t consider the cabin. But over all we definitely recommend this rental to others and rent again.

Mountain Laurel Cabin is a little piece of heaven. When you open the door you are so happy you chose this cabin. The cabin is simply beautiful and tastefully decorated and clean. Host Jeanine has taken care of every detail to make your stay comfortable and welcoming; has all you can possibly need and more - from a cell phone charging station, brochures of restaurants and places to see, horseshoe and cornhole games, a firepit (wood available), even an umbrella. She thought of everything! The view of the pond from the cabin is breathtaking and once you are there you can enjoy a peaceful environment, listen to the sounds of nature and have fun swimming or simply floating (you can even fish there). We enjoyed dinner at Murphy Chophouse, The Farmhouse and JR Chophouse. We saw the Fields of the Wood (a must see) and even enjoyed The House Cat Museum. On our way home we saw the Uhuburg (Eagle Owl Castel) in Helen. I included only outdoor photos so you can be pleasantly surprised when you walk in like we were. Best vacation ever!!!!

Start to finish - from easy check-in to clear check-out - the cabin was just perfect. Location was private and features like the pond and screened in porch were highlights. Hot weather yet the inside temperature control made it comfortable. Highly recommend.

The property was even nicer than I expected. The owners thought of everything for their guests. I caught 4 bass which I released. John boat there was big plus. Very private as advertised but access to main road. Plan to return in November or December! Donna

Wonderful cozy cabin with your own private pond to fish (catch&release) or just sit on dock and enjoy the beauty of nature. The cabin was very clean and provided basic supplies. Screened-in back porch over looking the pond has a nice gas grill. Fire pit area was perfect to sit around for a relaxing evening with horseshoes to play. Excellent place to stay especially if you love nature. Quiet and secluded, but close to town and an easy drive to the Great Smokey Mountains!

The cabin and area are wonderful. The only drawback is the hillside is too steep for an elderly person(which we are) to go down to fish which was our reason for being there. Steps down the hillside would help.

Very secluded if you want to get away from it all. Very clean with comfortable furniture. Screened porch takes care of rainy days. Fire pit great for cool nights. Fishing just a short walk down a slope for free entertainment. Thank you very much for an awesome trip.

Great stay at the cabin in the woods. Fantastic fire ring outside surrounded by lush trees and outdoor lighting and covered split wood storage. We had fun tossing corn hole and fishing in the small pond at the bottom of the cabin. Cabin was perfect, small and quaint. Close to Lake Chatooge and town...

Mountain Laurel Cabin was even better than expected. The home was beautiful and immaculate. We stayed for 8 days and had everything we needed to relax, cook meals, toast marshmallows by the fire, etc. They even provided a dog crate so we didn’t have to pack ours for our pup to sleep in. We absolutely loved our stay. We were close enough to grocery, activities, and even doggy daycare yet felt secluded (in a good way). We went on scenic drives, visited museums, and just chilled. We can’t wait to go back.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean & the beds were comfy. My husband & daughter had the best time fishing. My daughter was so excited about catching her first bass. We grilled food & played board games on the screened in porch. It was the perfect relaxing weekend.

My husband and I along with another couple just returned home from a week at the cabin. It was exactly as presented online. Even though we had rain almost every night and some days, we loved sitting on the front porch and the enclosed porch listening to the rain. We cooked in everyday, and had everything we needed. We were able to have a fire on the night before we left, and it was wonderful! The cabin was cozy and very clean. Check in and check out were a breeze and communication with the owners was great! We would all highly recommend this rental.

The cabin is absolutely wonderful-- everything we could have hoped for. Fully equipped for cooking which we did on a few days with easy access to great restaurants which we also enjoyed.It's also an amazing location for excursions to hiking trails in any direction. Every day we'd made it back by about sunset and then just enjoyed movies by the fireplace or sat out by the fire pit in pure peaceful bliss.Everything was nicely labeled, easy to find, and spotless. Would absolutely go here again.

Our stay at the mountain laurel cabin was fabulous! We would recommend giving the kitchen a deep clean, specifically the pop our draws under the sink, all cabinets and knobs, and the dishes provided.

Great place to relax. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended our time from 7 to 9 days. Property is stunningly beautiful, very private, well thought out in every detail and exquisitely clean with everything you will need provided. We are already planning a trip back.

The cabin was private, and quiet. Also well thought-out, very livable and comfortable for guests. The location, and setting is beautiful and the property is well maintained. The hosts were available for questions, and very accommodating. Our stay was very enjoyable and relaxing. We will come back!

We really enjoyed our stay here. So much to do there, horseshoes, fire pit, fishing etc. The owners have the cabin set up with everything you need. The bed was super comfortable. Rooms decor was so cute too. We grilled steaks and enjoyed eating on the patio. We caught and released several bass. We would definately recommend this cabin to anyone!! I only wish we could’ve stayed longer.

What a beautiful cabin! We so loved the fresh mountain air and all that the cabin had to offer. The attention to detail and ease of staying here was such a great experience. The owners thought of everything and made it easy to settle in and relax quickly. It’s one of those places that you really don’t want everyone knowing about!!!! We will be coming back!

This property is by far the best cabin we’ve stayed in, and we’ve stayed in a lot. Super close to everything 15 min to Ingles and Walmart. The pond is beautiful my sons fished with all the spare time we had lol. Very easy to get to, beds all really comfortable, they have literally everything you can think of if you forgot something they have it. Very well run property will definitely be back again.

We really enjoyed our stay here and wish we had stayed longer. If you’re looking to get away to peace and quiet for a few days, you will love the location. There’s plenty of room to spread out on the porches, outside at the fire pit, or fishing from the dock at the pond. Everything we needed was provided. The cabin was very cozy, and we really enjoyed our stay. The property is immaculate, and beautiful. We fished in the pond daily. It is very well stocked with bluegill, sunfish, and a lot of smallmouth as well as various other bass. I was visited by deer every morning on the pond as well. It is very peaceful and the back porch is perfect for morning coffee, breakfast, and dinners. Showers have great water pressure and a very large hot water tank. Light switches were all labeled which was a huge help! We loved this cabin.

It was very easy to check in. Communication from the homeowner was terrific! We enjoyed fishing, hiking and exploring the area. We had friends nearby so it was the perfect location for us to stay.

My husband and I along with another couple just returned home from a week at the cabin. It was exactly as presented online. Even though we had rain almost every night and some days, we loved sitting on the front porch and the enclosed porch listening to the rain. We cooked in everyday, and had everything we needed. We were able to have a fire on the night before we left, and it was wonderful! The cabin was cozy and very clean. Check in and check out were a breeze and communication with the owners was great! We would all highly recommend this rental.

Great communication with the owner. The directions Jeannie gave lead us right to cabin. The accuracy of the listing was true. We liked the ease of keyless entry. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals. We enjoyed our meals out on the screen in deck, so relaxing. We didn’t have a chance to play horseshoe or use the fire pit. The outside area around the cabin was well maintained. We enjoyed our time down at the pond, we caught bass and bluegill. If one had problems going up steps I wouldn’t consider the cabin. But over all we definitely recommend this rental to others and rent again.

WHAT a clean cabin! Enjoyed the back porch. We had a nice quiet relaxing time. Fun fishing and swimming. The owners were quick to respond to our few questions. They were very pleasant to work with. Oh! Our bed downstairs was SO comfy.

Beautiful home and property. Very clean and well maintained. A couple of small things popped up (down tree blocking road & air conditioner hiccup) and the owners were Very responsive getting things fixed. We will stay there again when coming to the area! Thank you Jeannine and John.

The cabin was private, and quiet. Also well thought-out, very livable and comfortable for guests. The location, and setting is beautiful and the property is well maintained. The hosts were available for questions, and very accommodating. Our stay was very enjoyable and relaxing. We will come back!

This was our third stay at the Mountain Laurel Cabin, and it never disappoints. Tucked away in peaceful Brasstown, the cabin is cozy, spotless, and perfectly equipped with all you need in the woods. The private acre-sized pond is a dream for fishing or just soaking in the quiet. We love its proximity to the Folk School and scenic trails. A true hidden gem for nature lovers and anyone needing a recharge. We'll definitely be back!

We loved the property's location away from the city noise and replaced by the sounds of the wind and birds. The cabin was easy to access and close to everything we wanted to see. The house was comfortable and cozy. My favorite was sitting on the deck overlooking the pond. Meeting the local artists was a highlight of our trip and learning about the history of the area. The John C. Campbell Folk School is a must-see plus Rob at Smoke in the Mountain Pottery. The communication with Jeannine was easy. I highly recommend Mountain Laurel Cabin for your next vacation.

What a pleasant surprise, the pictures just don’t convey what a little piece of heaven - Mountain Laurel Cabin. I stayed there during a class I was taking at the John C. Campbell folk school and it was very convenient to the school. I loved coming back in the evening and being immersed in peace and quiet and able to walk around the property.

This cabin is quite adorable! The pond and surrounding. area was covered in fresh snow making it magical. Everything that we needed to stay safe inside the cabin was available. It was easy to get to which we appreciated since the roads were icy. Can't wait until we can return!!

This property is by far the best cabin we’ve stayed in, and we’ve stayed in a lot. Super close to everything 15 min to Ingles and Walmart. The pond is beautiful my sons fished with all the spare time we had lol. Very easy to get to, beds all really comfortable, they have literally everything you can think of if you forgot something they have it. Very well run property will definitely be back again.

My husband and I greatly enjoyed staying at the Mountain Laurel Cabin. It is in a beautiful quiet location yet it is just minutes to town. This part of the vacation was very relaxing. I would recommend the cabin and stay in it again if we get back to this part of the country.

Mountain Laurel Cabin was even better than expected. The home was beautiful and immaculate. We stayed for 8 days and had everything we needed to relax, cook meals, toast marshmallows by the fire, etc. They even provided a dog crate so we didn’t have to pack ours for our pup to sleep in. We absolutely loved our stay. We were close enough to grocery, activities, and even doggy daycare yet felt secluded (in a good way). We went on scenic drives, visited museums, and just chilled. We can’t wait to go back.

Mountain Laurel Cabin is a little piece of heaven. When you open the door you are so happy you chose this cabin. The cabin is simply beautiful and tastefully decorated and clean. Host Jeanine has taken care of every detail to make your stay comfortable and welcoming; has all you can possibly need and more - from a cell phone charging station, brochures of restaurants and places to see, horseshoe and cornhole games, a firepit (wood available), even an umbrella. She thought of everything! The view of the pond from the cabin is breathtaking and once you are there you can enjoy a peaceful environment, listen to the sounds of nature and have fun swimming or simply floating (you can even fish there). We enjoyed dinner at Murphy Chophouse, The Farmhouse and JR Chophouse. We saw the Fields of the Wood (a must see) and even enjoyed The House Cat Museum. On our way home we saw the Uhuburg (Eagle Owl Castel) in Helen. I included only outdoor photos so you can be pleasantly surprised when you walk in like we were. Best vacation ever!!!!

Fully equipped for cooking which we did on a few days with easy access to great restaurants which we also enjoyed.It's also an amazing location for excursions to hiking trails in any direction. Every day we'd made it back by about sunset and then just enjoyed movies by the fireplace or sat out by the fire pit in pure peaceful bliss.Everything was nicely labeled, easy to find, and spotless. Wonderful cozy cabin with your own private pond to fish (catch&release) or just sit on dock and enjoy the beauty of nature. The cabin was very clean and provided basic supplies. Screened-in back porch over looking the pond has a nice gas grill. Fire pit area was perfect to sit around for a relaxing evening with horseshoes to play. Excellent place to stay especially if you love nature. Quiet and secluded, but close to town and an easy drive to the Great Smokey Mountains!

There’s plenty of room to spread out on the porches, outside at the fire pit, or fishing from the dock at the pond. Inside the cabin is well thought out to maximize space, with lots of extra touches for storage and comfort. The cabin was very clean and looks to be well taken care of. It’s a short drive to stores, restaurants, and the casino. We will definitely stay again.

It’s hard to summarize such an amazing experience in one paragraph. I personally feel that it’s better than the pictures. It was immaculate!!! It was comfortable, cozy, and it was stocked with everything needed to have a pleasant experience. The communication with host was awesome and immediate. The cabin was decorated beautifully and the property was very clean all around even the outside. It was the best romantic getaway ever!!! We will definitely come back!!!

The cabin was very clean, aesthetically pleasing, and supplied well. The grounds were also well kept. Although it is in a neighborhood, it is still secluded with no neighbors on top of you or even in view, giving you lots of privacy. The ice maker was not working, when I contacted the owner she was unaware and offered to bring a bag of ice, I declined. Very relaxing vacation.
