This cabin is great. The fire pit and screened on porch were a definite plus. There are a few other cabins on this road but you are still secluded. We would stay here again.

We had a great time staying here. Check-in was easy, and the cabin was clean and the beds were comfortable. The extras (trash bags, dish soap, extra TP and even shampoo and conditioner) are such a nice touch. We made good use of the screened in porch and hot tub.There is also a swing, corn hole, games, etc. If you are planning to hike, many of the popular hikes are a bit of a distance (not mileage wise, but it takes a long time to get there because of the curvy roads) so plan accordingly. Also Frenchburg is tiny, not many choices for restaurants. All in all we had a great time! The cabin is well built and lots of privacy. Probably one of the nicest VRBOs I have stayed in.

We really enjoyed our stay at Moondance Cabin. It was immaculate and very comfortable. We loved the view off the back deck, the hot tub and the screened in porch. We had a nice fire, grilled out, and played games. Loved the ride to the Natural Bridge park and some of the other trails. The kitchen had everything we needed. No complaints at all!

It is a perfect cabin for 2 couples. Everything we need was supplied. We enjoyed the gas fireplace. The screened in back porch was perfect. Looking out to the fall colors off the back porch was beautiful. The lower back porch was also fun. We would stay in this cabin again.

We visited after my husband participated in an Ironman race. Between the hot tub and the comfortable deck with an wonderful view, it was the perfect place to relax and recover. So very peaceful; such a treat!

We had a great time staying at Moondance Cabin and introducing our children to Red River Gorge! The property was a little far out, but that just made the stargazing even better. We really enjoyed the hot tub, cornhole and the fire pit. The house was just the right size for our family of 5. All the instructions and suggestions from our host were great. Highly recommend!

Cabin has any amenity you could want right there. Loved the sparkling hot tub and the relaxing swing on bottom deck. Even provided coffee pods and toiletries! Going to try to come back when we can spend all our time there (Had a large wedding gathering at nearby lodge)!

We had the best weekend! The cabin was perfect for us, plenty of room, everything was so clean and decorated beautifully. Everything was just as the description depicted. I loved the screened porch and the hot tub! We sat by a fire the first night and played corn hole, enjoyed the hot tub and then watched a movie. We explored several places all the next day, came back and got in the hot tub again. There was absolutely nothing bad about anything. My only wish would be that we could have stayed a couple more nights!

The property was amazing, great views, kitchen was fully stocked to cook, inside was comfy cozy but plenty of room outside to enjoy the nature all around us. The host sent us directions for hiking and other recommendations prior to the stay. (Always a bonus) Firewoood was delivered to the cabin for easy fire pit. Overall a great family getaway to disconnect from the outside world. (Yes we had wifi and it was excellent as well) but sitting outside watching the leaves change in the hot tub was a crowd favorite.

Absolutely amazing stay! Very clean cabin which I am obsessed about, neat outside with sun room, cute fireplace where we grilled all stay. Cabin has everything you can possibly need, from dish tablets to shampoos, huge jenga blocks which we enjoyed with kids and other table games. Big thank you to the gost for keeping the cabin organized and making our stay such a pleasant experience. We decided it will be our come back cabin, it stole our hearts with amazing sunset views. We also went to hike at Natural Bridge, you don’t get tired of it, and explored some other trails. 100% recommended!!!

The cabin was spotless and exactly as pictured. I WAY over packed for all the things we might need in the kitchen, for laundry and toiletries. The cabin is extremely well stocked! The view is gorgeous, there was plenty of room for a family of 5, and plenty of games and activities for all ages. Everything was fantastic and I'm sure we'll be back at some point.

Immaculately clean home nestled in a remote area with a fabulous view of the autumn colors! Just close enough to RRG hikes and other activities. Perfect property layout and spacious cabin with many amenities including kitchen knives that are actually sharp (that almost never happens in a rental so I had to mention!) We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing stay at this cottage. It is exactly like the description. My 7 year old son said he never wanted to leave. The cabin is impeccably clean. You have everything you need to cook. We had so much fun playing the ring game down on the lower porch and counting stars from the hot tub. The view is gorgeous. Yes, it is a little bit of a drive to get to the gorge, but it’s SO worth it. The drive is stunning and kind of fun! I looked forward to it! You will go through NADA tunnel, which is pretty cool. Communication was excellent and the directions to get there were exact. We definitely plan to visit again. I give this a 10/10!

Moondance cabin was exactly what our family needed for this vacation! Our family of 5 fit perfectly! The view was stunning, and the secludedness of the cabin made it relaxing and quiet. Brad was an excellent host. He answered all my questions, sent recommendations for the area, and sent thorough check in and out instructions. The cabin was stocked so well - from shampoo, to make up wipes, to paper towel, kitchen supplies, games and more. There was nothing we wanted for during our stay. Beautiful cabin, super clean, nice for each bedroom to have their own bathroom and to have the laundry. We had everything we needed to make meals and relax. It was further from the gorge than we had realized but being far out might be good for many. Definitely felt like you were really isolated and private, although there were other properties just down the road. Could have more extra blankets as the AC worked really well. Overall excellent stay and we’d come again.

We planned a family vacation and looked at at least 50 cabins. We decided to give Moondance a shot, it was an amazing choice! We took our 3 young children and it was perfect for all 5 of us! The view is amazing, the drive to the property is nice, it had EVERYTHING you’d need. Just bring clothes & food! A full stocked kitchen (pots, pans, plates, kids plates, spices, coffee filters, etc), many towels, outdoor activities & even soap for the dishwasher & washing machine! 2 bedrooms are perfect with a master bedroom, another room with a large bed + bunk bed! The open floor plan is perfect for everyone to spend time together but not be cramped. It extends onto the beautiful patio! We were fortunate to mostly miss big season but the screened in porch is a huge plus! The hot tub was very clean, easy to use and had amazing views all day long! Full privacy, no other visible cabins nearby and the back of the house/ porch (where we spent all our time) is out of view from the road (extremely minimal traffic, just people going to their cabins down the road). We really loved this cabin, we can’t wait to plan another trip!

Very impressed with how clean the property was. Also appreciated the communication with info about the property and the surrounding area. Ongoing communication was responsive. Amenities in the cabin were very good. Pretty much anything you’d need was provided and internet was very fast. Amenities in the area are very lacking but that was expected. Gas and grocery are available in town but restaurants and entertainment are quite scarce. Would definitely recommend this property to friends and will look to book here again in the future.

If you all really want to unplug and enjoy the amazing views of mountain life, then this is the stay for you! The cabin was amazing and the view from the back balcony was, well no words can quite describe it. This was our first family vacay with our new twins and it did not disappoint. The drive to the cabin does have a gravel road but don't let that deter you. We drove our non 4X4 and it made it just fine. The hot tub was so clean and cozy. I mention this because I have stayed at places where the hot tub was not maintained properly. There is plenty of room for a good size family as the one bedroom has 3 beds in it. There are TV's in every room as well as ceiling fans, which coming from Florida, a ceiling fan is precious commodity, IFYKYK. The closest grocery store is a little bit of a drive, but it was the most beautiful drive to the grocery store I have ever taken. I do recommend getting to the cabin first to see what is available, then going to the grocery store.The kitchen had everything needed to cook meals there which is good because restaurants are a bit of a hike, but this is for the true unplugged getaway. The Natural Bridge was too cool! The owner, Bradley, super easy to communicate with, very quick with responses. Check in and out was super easy as well. Definitely recommend 100/10 whether you are a single person that just needs to get away or a full sized family. Bradley, thank you so much for the stay at your beautiful cabin!

This was our family’s first trip to Red River Gorge and Our stay at Moondance was fantastic from start to finish! We were able to have firewood delivered as soon as we arrived to use in the fire pit. My family of 4 had a great time during our 3 night stay at Moondance. The cabin is very clean, well stocked and beautifully decorated. My favorite space was the screened in porch, my husband's was the fire pit and the kids was the hot tub. The views are breathtaking...sunrise, mid day and sunset. We loved watchng the fog roll over the peaks and valleys.Truly mesmerizing! I did not want to leave 💚 The only negative is that Moondance is 50-70 minutes away from the best hiking areas in RRG and Natural Bridge. If you don't mind the drive, I highly recommend Moondance cabin!

Moondance cabin was exactly what our family needed for this vacation! Our family of 5 fit perfectly! The view was stunning, and the secludedness of the cabin made it relaxing and quiet. Brad was an excellent host. He answered all my questions, sent recommendations for the area, and sent thorough check in and out instructions. The cabin was stocked so well - from shampoo, to make up wipes, to paper towel, kitchen supplies, games and more. There was nothing we wanted for during our stay. The cabin was one of the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in. We would highly recommend Moondance for your next stay!

The cabin was beautiful, fully stocked. We had a wonderful time we stayed for three nights. Brad our host was great, prior to our arrival he sent information regarding places to get groceries, information on things to do in the area and also a number for a local gentleman who will drop off fire wood for a very reasonable amount. We would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone.

So many positive things to say! Even though the door lock pad was acting up, the owner gave me a heads up and an alternative way to get in if it wasn’t fixed yet. He also sent so many other details and information that was very helpful with directions and things to do. The communication with him was easy and quick accurate responses. The cabin was beautiful, warm, clean and comfortable! Loved the view and thoroughly enjoyed cooking while we stayed there. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Plenty of good things to say! Looking forward to coming back!

My family & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The area was absolutely beautiful. Our host was very responsive & the communications provided was thorough, which was very helpful. We found the cabin to be very clean & the layout was perfect for our family. We enjoyed all the extra offered having a fire, bags set and hottub were all enjoyed. The gorge underground kayak tour is a must, along with the sky bridge and Miguel's for pizza.

Fabulous amenities, beautiful property and attentive communication. Frenchburg is small but has a great IGA and Cornbread Cafe was convenient for a quick, reasonably priced meal. The hot tub was delightful after hiking at Red River Gorge. Close to Natural Bridge SP too. We are planning how to bring our kids and grandkids! Highly recommend.

The cabin was absolutely immaculate and beautiful! We loved the outside area and all the fun activities at the cabin. The view was breathtaking and a gentleman delivers firewood for a small fee. The only drawback was it was a long drive to get anywhere, however each drive was breathtaking!

Beautiful cabin, super clean, nice for each bedroom to have their own bathroom and to have the laundry. We had everything we needed to make meals and relax. It was further from the gorge than we had realized but being far out might be good for many. Definitely felt like you were really isolated and private, although there were other properties just down the road. Could have more extra blankets as the AC worked really well. Overall excellent stay and we’d come again.

If you all really want to unplug and enjoy the amazing views of mountain life, then this is the stay for you! The cabin was amazing and the view from the back balcony was, well no words can quite describe it. This was our first family vacay with our new twins and it did not disappoint. The drive to the cabin does have a gravel road but don't let that deter you. We drove our non 4X4 and it made it just fine. The hot tub was so clean and cozy. I mention this because I have stayed at places where the hot tub was not maintained properly. There is plenty of room for a good size family as the one bedroom has 3 beds in it. There are TV's in every room as well as ceiling fans, which coming from Florida, a ceiling fan is precious commodity, IFYKYK. The closest grocery store is a little bit of a drive, but it was the most beautiful drive to the grocery store I have ever taken. I do recommend getting to the cabin first to see what is available, then going to the grocery store.The kitchen had everything needed to cook meals there which is good because restaurants are a bit of a hike, but this is for the true unplugged getaway. The Natural Bridge was too cool! The owner, Bradley, super easy to communicate with, very quick with responses. Check in and out was super easy as well. We had a great time staying at Moondance Cabin and introducing our children to Red River Gorge! The property was a little far out, but that just made the stargazing even better. We really enjoyed the hot tub, cornhole and the fire pit. The house was just the right size for our family of 5. All the instructions and suggestions from our host were great. Highly recommend!

The cabin was nice and clean with plenty of amenities and things to keep you and the family entertained. Wonderful hospitality and great communication with property owners when needed. If there is one downfall, it would be the area/neighborhood to get to the cabin. The neighborhood outside Indian creek resort was pretty trashy, seemed like you were going thru a junk yard. But once you turned off to Indian creek resort it was nice.

The property was fantastic. Loved the screened in porch off of the deck. Very great property. Only drawback which has nothing to do with the actual property is it was 40 minute drive to all of the hiking trails we were there to do. Having never been to the area I had no idea what to expect. I would definitely stay there again in the future.

My family of 4 had a great time during our 3 night stay at Moondance. The cabin is very clean, well stocked and beautifully decorated. My favorite space was the screened in porch, my husband's was the fire pit and the kids was the hot tub. The views are breathtaking...sunrise, mid day and sunset. We loved watchng the fog roll over the peaks and valleys.Truly mesmerizing! I did not want to leave 💚 The only negative is that Moondance is 50-70 minutes away from the best hiking areas in RRG and Natural Bridge. If you don't mind the drive, I highly recommend Moondance cabin!

It’s about 40 min to the park which was disappointing. Cabin was great it was quiet and peaceful. Wish it was closer to the park all and all would recommend. Wasn’t aware how few options there are on eating out and groceries. Might let people know that.

We can’t say enough positive things about this property! The cabin is located in a beautiful setting with a stunning view of the forest. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to cook or grill any meal. Best of all, the place was spotless, so kudos to the cleaning crew. The host gave really good information based on our travel purpose and check in and out was effortless. We have no idea if the big screen tv’s worked because it seemed like a sin up watch tv with such an amazing view off the deck. We wish we had more time to spend there. We’d give it more than 5 stars if that was an option.

We really enjoyed our stay at Moondance Cabin. It was immaculate and very comfortable. We loved the view off the back deck, the hot tub and the screened in porch. Very impressed with how clean the property was. Also appreciated the communication with info about the property and the surrounding area. Ongoing communication was responsive. Amenities in the cabin were very good. Pretty much anything you’d need was provided and internet was very fast. Amenities in the area are very lacking but that was expected. Gas and grocery are available in town but restaurants and entertainment are quite scarce. Would definitely recommend this property to friends and will look to book here again in the future.

Absolutely amazing stay! Very clean cabin which I am obsessed about, neat outside with sun room, cute fireplace where we grilled all stay. Cabin has everything you can possibly need, from dish tablets to shampoos, huge jenga blocks which we enjoyed with kids and other table games. Big thank you to the gost for keeping the cabin organized and making our stay such a pleasant experience. We decided it will be our come back cabin, it stole our hearts with amazing sunset views. We also went to hike at Natural Bridge, you don’t get tired of it, and explored some other trails. 100% recommended!!!

I stayed at Moondance with 4 of my friends. The cabin was located in a secluded setting with beautiful views. The location was a close enough drive to all of our desired hiking locations. The cabin was lovely and clean and fit all of us perfectly. The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner and we really enjoyed eating on the back porch and getting in the hot tub. Communication with the host was clear and quick. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The cabin was spotless and exactly as pictured. I WAY over packed for all the things we might need in the kitchen, for laundry and toiletries. The cabin is extremely well stocked! The view is gorgeous, there was plenty of room for a family of 5, and plenty of games and activities for all ages. Everything was fantastic and I'm sure we'll be back at some point.

This place was gorgeous and just what we needed for our family of 4 My only suggestion is to go there first and check for staples like coffee and salt. I didn’t buy those things at the store on the way in because most places we stay have those already in place so we didn’t have them the first day.

The property was amazing, great views, kitchen was fully stocked to cook, inside was comfy cozy but plenty of room outside to enjoy the nature all around us. The host sent us directions for hiking and other recommendations prior to the stay. (Always a bonus) Firewoood was delivered to the cabin for easy fire pit. Overall a great family getaway to disconnect from the outside world. (Yes we had wifi and it was excellent as well) but sitting outside watching the leaves change in the hot tub was a crowd favorite.

Our family of Four (2 college aged boys) stayed at Moondance Cabin in June of 2026. Awesome time! Before we even arrived, Brad (cabin owner) provided clear directions to help us prepare for the trip and arrive without any issues. He also gave lots of tips to help enjoy the area and get a sense for fun activities, hikes, restaurants, etc. We had a question during our stay and Brad was really friendly, responsive, and helpful, which is a great feeling as a guest. The cabin was in beautiful condition and has a cozy, covered front porch and a fantastic, covered back porch with serene, beautiful views from the screened in sitting area, more open sitting area, and hot tub. We spent a lot of time out there together and could enjoy the space rain or shine. We also liked the open kitchen area and family room. Really a great fit for our family. A wee bit of a drive to some of our destinations, but we passed by lots of scenic areas along the way, and it was a total non-issue for us. Highly recommend and will be our go-to spot if/when we make our way back to the Red River Gorge area one day.

We loved spending a long weekend at the cabin, the views and hot tub were fantastic. Brad and Caz were able to resolve an issue with the cabin when we had arrived, they were very attentive and made sure we were comfortable. Just a phenomenal place!

Moondance was great! Location is perfect for Red River Gorge outings. We ventured into Lexington one day for the Railbird music festival, otherwise, we just took in the scenery and hiking options. The cabin itself was very clean and well appointed...exactly as described in the listing. We are a family of 5 (18yo/16yo/ and 13yo kids), and the cabin was terrific to keep them entertained and everyone had enough space.

This property and cabin exceeded our expectations. For a family of 4 we had plenty of room and accommodations were above what we needed. The cabin has amazing views and plenty of privacy. Management company and owner are easy to reach when any issue arises. We are already planning a return.
