Cabin in redwood giants! Hot tub!

After traveling all day we got to the property at about 5:30. When we got into the house we quickly realized that no one had cleaned it. The beds where messy with pubic hair in one and lipstick smeared in the other. The trash cans were full, used towels on the ground in the bathroom, and something gross on the shower door. The walls of the house were very dirty like they have not been painted in many years (upkeep of house was poor). I have many pictures but doesn't seem like I can upload them here. I read a similar review from this property from earlier in the year as the host claimed this has NEVER happened before. She made excuses and offered a partial refund for cleaning and said she could have someone there at 8pm to START cleaning. I had been up since 2:30 am from working/commuting already and just couldn't wait that long and notified her that I wanted a full refund and that we were going to leave and that I was going to contact VRBO. I spent several hours on the phone with them trying to get a refund before we left to stay at a motel (this was July 18.) The host Liz never responded once I messaged we were leaving and have been calling VRBO with NO refund. VRBO has not helped at all and says that the host is responsible. Looks like I am going to have to take legal action on VRBO and Liz. I will never use VRBO again and if I were you I would stay away from this host and property. The placed was trashed when we arrived. We couldn’t stay as anticipated. The is no cell signal in the cabin. To make a phone call had to drive into the town of Mendocino. The owner does not respond in a timely manner. Still waiting for the refund since the place was not available when needed or in the state for our occupancy.

Appreciated our sunny pocket of Mendocino! Comfortable, clean and great baby amenities like a high chair and crib!

Nice place. Away from the road so safe for dogs.

Enjoyed our trip to the Mendocino Coast. About six miles from the coast located in the redwoods. We were able to bring our pet.
