WATERFRONT COTTAGE w/ACCESS TO WEEKI WACHEE RIVER & GULF FRESHLY REMODELED!

We loved our stay at Richard's. Quiet peaceful place with a great outdoor area. If you have teens with you they will enjoy the gameroom. Plenty of kayaks and canoes for a trip down the river. Can't wait to stay here in the future.

Completely remodeled. Smelled clean as soon as we walked in the door. Grill, lots of outdoor seating, kayaks, paddles, life jackets, pans/utensils for cooking. My boys loved the arcade games. Washer and dryer available. Canal that connects home to the beautiful weeki wachee river is about a 20-30 minute paddle. Area in front of home does get shallow with tide changes but is passable(stay on the outside). Enjoyed 2 full days kayaking the river and exploring. Rode over to Hernando beach and had a great dinner at the Lazy Lizard.

We enjoyed the property would be great to have a propane grill versus charcoal nice outside area! Clean comfortable bed!

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay here. The house is close enough to 19 that we could quickly stop to get groceries or grab a bite to eat. The house was very clean with plenty of towels, soap, etc. We were even pleasantly surprised by a separate game room with darts and arcade games. It was an unexpected bonus that was great for the little one. Everything in the house was updated and we used the kitchen to cook breakfast each day. But the best part of this house is the backyard. It's right on a canal that leads to Weeki Wachee River. It is a bit of a trek to get there (took us 25 mins or so but we're not the best with a paddle). The river is spectacular and definitely worth the journey. We saw manatees and swam in some of the clearest water you'll find in Florida. There are multiple kayaks and 2 canoes right out back. We would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a river adventure.

There was no toaster, the washer has to be held down for minutes until it finally locks. Address is not listed and wasn’t provided until we asked. The trash cans had gum in it and trash from the last people who stayed. The paddles for the kayaks/canoes were low quality and bruised my hands after just two days of paddling.

This spot is a hidden gem. Well appointed and very clean, this cozy cottage makes for the perfect Weeki Wachee getaway. It's located on a shallow canal in a quiet neighborhood minutes from anywhere you want to go. The house itself offers plenty of entertainment with the kayaks, canoe and bonus game room. We will be back!

The house is beautiful, kayaks, and everything we needed was right there waiting for us to arrive. The kids could not get over the game room! Beds are perfect and the couch is stuffed to perfection, perfect to sink right in like a warm hug. My kids had a ball. The owners were great with communication too. 10/10

The home was perfect. We had one little issue and the property manager responded quickly and fixed the issue. The gamw room was a great bonus.

The house was clean and had all the essential for our stay. Plenty of kayaks paddles and life jackets for everyone to enjoy. They only complain I have is I was worried about kayaking straight from the property as the water was low but all was good we just wait for the water to come up a little before heading out

Came to weeki wachee to kayak and meet manatees and this place was the perfect launching point! The house was recently renovated, perfectly clean and cozy, and had everything we needed for a great week on the water. When we weren't kayaking, we loved watching the ospreys hunting off the dock. Would highly recommend and would stay again in a heartbeat!

This was a delightful stay at our VRBO property! We've stayed at many over the years and it was so nice to walk into a house that included plenty of towels and beds that were all ready for us. Nothing additional to rent! With airport delays we arrived much later than expected and it was such a nice surprise to find that even the front porch light was left on for us. The property included basic items which no other properties we've rented had, like plenty of toilet tissue, cute decorative soap in the bathrooms as well as little tubes of shampoo and conditioner left for us. There was dish and dishwasher detergent, paper towels and lots of garbage bags under the kitchen sink and a big jug of All Unscented laundry detergent and dryer sheets in the laundry room. There was even a citronella candle and lighter left if we wanted to use the patio at night. The pond was beautiful at night with a blue light on the fountain. Everything was clean, in working order and as described. I've had 9 back surgeries and the mattresses were more comfortable than mine at home! I loved the beautiful view of the lake when I woke up in the morning and opened the patio door so I could hear the birds and watch the egrets on the dock. My nephew was fishing every minute possible and we even had the wonderful surprise of 3 manatees entering the pond one night at dusk. We grabbed kayaks from the ones included with the property and paddled out to see them up close, with 2 of them swimming directly under me while feeding! Absolutely no alligators. Our only complaint is that the living room couch and chair are long past their prime and were uncomfortable to sit in, and I wish a blanket was in the bedroom closets, especially for the bedroom that isn't in the sun all day. Our host responded immediately whenever I texted him about anything. He even stopped by when he was working next door to introduce himself to us and make sure everything was going well. We can't wait to go back!

We stayed two nights. The house was comfortable. We didn't cook but it appeared it had everything you would need with the exception of any kind of seasonings. The only complaint would be is that there wasn't a wifi connection to the only TV for the entire one full day that we were there. We tryed communicating about it with the owner but would not respond. A neighbor girl showed up at the door to troubleshoot the wifi issue for an hour to no avail and that was it. Never did hear from the owner. We would not rent it again.

This was a wonderful way to start our winter vacation. This cottage has a cozy vibe, but was quite spacious.The back yard was peaceful and private. The house was immaculately clean and comfortable. We spent three days visiting the Weeki Wachee area and enjoyed every minute of it. Go off the main highway and try some of the locals hangouts. Dinner and drinks at the Upper Deck were very good. Down the road is an adorably unique restaurant called Silver Dolphins with a fantastic breakfast. La Bella Napoli is a terrific Italian Restaurant only a few minutes away from the cottage. Have already recommended this property to friends who were interested in visiting this area.

Very clean, conveniently located, large bedrooms, nice patio with view of canal, owner was friendly & good communicator. Quiet & safe neighborhood. We loved it.

It takes about 20 minutes to get down the canal to the river but the sights are really pretty and it's very quiet. The house was centrally located and we could easily get to everywhere we wanted to go. It's a quick drive to Pine Island to see the sunset!

Everything was as expected, this was our second time visiting this property and the view was amazing. The only issue we had was the fact that we’re building a house right next door. If I would have known that I would have never rented there. I think that should have been disclosed. Waking up to screaming, loud noise from large equipment and constantly hearing others conversations at 7:30 in the morning was not what I signed up for.

So adorable! The nautical theme throughout the house is lovely. We didn’t want to leave ! Manatees hanging out in the water right out back. Saving this property for future use. Thank you !

My 2 sisters and I took our Mom to celebrate her 90th birthday. The house is great, decorated so cute in nautical theme. Very nice outdoor space, access to canoe and kayaks. It is a 2 bedroom house, 2 bath, and we used the game room for an additional bedroom with a blow up bed. The hosts, Rich and Bridgette were super great in helping with any problems we had with our visit. Would recommend and book again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean. We took advantage of the kayaks by going out to the river multiple times. It took the 6 of us about 25 minutes to make it down the canal to the river. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. If you bring coffee, make sure it’s ground and not k-cups. If you plan on cooking, you will need to bring your own seasonings, oil, etc. Overall, it was a perfect place for our couple of days visiting Weeki Wachee.

We had a wonderful few day getaway 😊 the house is so cute, clean and comfortable. The pictures don’t do it justice. It was a lot bigger than we expected. The outdoor sitting area was great. We ate all of our meals out there barbecued and just chilled I loved sitting out there at night with the fountain lit up listening to the bullfrogs. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The game room was a lot of fun. Miss Pac-Man has always been one of my favorites. I would definitely recommend this place. It’s one of the best we’ve stayed at in Weeki so far we like the location my guys love to fish, the canals leading out to the main river. Richard, the host was very helpful and pleasant will definitely return in the future.🐠🤗

When I was 11 my parents brought me to Spring Hill for a weeki mermaid trip so I did the same for my daughter and her 11th birthday. Everything was perfect except there wasn’t really any baking pans and had to send the husband to the store just so I could make dinner. Other than that everything was perfect. Bring bug juice when you go kayaking!
