My family of nine (married and unmarried) just finished our stay at Casa Surfside this last week and couldn't recommend it enough. The house was well stocked for everything needed for the beach which is just a 5 minute walk away. Having such close proximity to an uncrowded and beautiful beach with waves was certainly a highlight. Everything in the house is as portrayed in images. Plenty of sitting and dining spaces. Bedrooms were well appointed with comfortable beds. The hot tub was nice after a long day at the beach. Would not hesitate to book again.

This place was perfect for a family vacation to Legoland and the beach. We arrived and the kids were immediately occupied by all of the toys in the play room leaving the adults the ability to unpack and get settled in without and interruptions. The house was stocked with everything you need for a day down at the beach, we really appreciated the chairs and big wheeled beach wagons to carry our stuff and the kids loved the plentiful beach toys.

Beautiful clean property. We were greeted with some snacks on the kitchen counter. The garage was equipped with games that entertained my grandkids for hours. There was lots of beach essentials like chairs and toys that were perfect for a day at the beach. Not to mention the. Hot tub was so nice and relaxing. Highly recommend this property.

This is such a fantastic property for any family or large group looking for close access to the SoCal beach and to Legoland. This fully stocked property allowed us to go to the beach without having to head to the store for anything. Coolers, beach chairs, beach toys, even boogie boards were ready to use and easy to access. The garage was where my kids wanted to stay the whole time. Foosball table, basketball game, axe throwing, board games, and toys for any age. Easy access to all the major roads to get you back to San Diego or even further up the coast. We got to the parking lot at Legoland under 10 minutes. All the beds were comfy and the bathrooms are well maintained. Looking forward to get back as soon as we can!

The house was perfect. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was stocked, the beach accessories were beyond amazing, and the garage for the kids was heaven. Nick the owner was great, he checked in frequently and was always available if we had a question.

Honestly, this was one of the best vacation rentals we've ever stayed in. Location is amazing, house has plenty of space, it's really well-stocked and has lots of extras. Love being able to walk three blocks and spend a day at the beach with the amazing assortment of beach gear provided by the host (beach toys, boogie boards, umbrellas, chairs, wagons, even a surf board), then come back, rinse off in the outdoor shower (which has hot water!), and then relax in the hot tub out back while our kids played in the garage that's been converted into a really cool game room. Then throw some chicken on the grill and eat on the patio under the lights. I mean, you know it was a great stay when literally the only negative thing you can think of was that the bathroom lightbulb started flickering and needed replaced. Just a 100% positive experience, and we really hope it's available for our next trip to SoCal.

This property is beautiful and perfectly located. We had a multi-generational family stay and our three young grandchildren loved the playroom and "swimming pool" hot tub! The location is perfect for an easy beach day. The home is well stocked for a full beach day. Nick is a great, responsive host. We easily travelled to Legoland and SeaWorld. In addition, there are great pickleball courts nearby. We were thankful that we found a lovely home that filled all our needs for a great family get together.

A close walk to the beach and convenient to Carlsbad Village along with many coastal areas. One of the best stocked houses we’ve ever rented! The garage/playroom was a big hit for my 18 month old granddaughter. Bedding was very comfy and shower felt great. My son in law said hot tub was amazing. I would definitely rent again when in the area!

This property is just right. The location, the layout, the amenities, everything was just like it should be. We loved being 5 minutes from the beach and having all the beach equipment provided for us. The outdoor shower was awesome as was the hot tub (although it takes a long time to heat up). The outdoor space (both front and back) was great for outdoor relaxing and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. One thing we really liked was that the house is well insulated and there was no outdoor noise NOR was there noise from the other rooms. The kids could be noisy and we didn't hear them at all. As a result everyone slept peacefully and comfortably (beds and bedding were also first rate). Nick was a responsive host

Property was as shown. Very clean. Quiet and had everything you would need, especially for small children-the garage has it all! 4 bedrooms made all the difference. Walk across the street to see the most amazing sunsets. Great walking paths along the coast. Would recommend

Great place to stay. Everything is super clean and tidy, there is so much space. My daughters were very happy about the garage turned into a play room. All the house is very equiped. Comfty beds, quiet neighborhood and so close to the beach.

We had an excellent experience while staying here. It is spotlessly clean and had all the utensils & cooking items needed. We ran out of soap and found a replacement under sink. The jacuzzi was clean and worked perfectly. Beds were very comfortable linens and pillows fresh and cozy. It is across the street from beach. I couldn’t ask for any better communication with the host, Nick. We didn’t have any problems but it was nice when he kindly texted me to check in and ask. We look forward to returning again!

The house is clean and well stocked with everything from plenty of dishes and kitchen equipment to towels and linens. And lots of toys and games for the little kids and big kids. There are lots of beach-going toys too. The walk to the beach is easy. We enjoyed the hot tub too. We spent two days at Legoland which is an easy 5 to 10 minute drive. The house is quiet. When our son got up early with the grandkids and headed downstairs to play, we didn't hear them. The owner, Nick, is gracious and attentive. We didn't have any problems but he checked in with us a couple times just to make sure everything was good. We will definitely stay here again when we are in Carlsbad!

First experience with VRBO and we had a great stay. Clean and comfortable with everything you need for a family getaway. The beach toys, chairs, and wagons were an added bonus. The host was quick to answer any questions and very responsive to requests. Definitely recommendand would stay again...

As advertised! In all the right ways! Plenty of supplies. Seemingly close to everything particularly the beach. Hot tub was cleaned professionally twice during our week long stay. Play room was a HUGE hit with the little guys. Jogging double stroller and many beach items came in handy. No need to buy coffee filters as there are 800+ in the cabinet as everyone buys 200 and leaves 180 behind :). Very clean. Very responsive management.

Wonderful family home in a safe, quiet and convenient location. The home was clean and fully stocked with all your needs. Communication was easy and quick. The playroom is a major draw for families with young children! We would highly recommend booking.

We have a special needs son who adores LEGOLAND and we booked this because the pictures looked great and we liked the location so we hoped it was as good as it seemed - and it was! The house is a great size to spread out, and I am always concerned about comfortable beds and all of the beds here are great, which is a huge plus. Everything was well stocked - there was nothing we needed or wished we had including plenty of towels and kitchen stuff. We did not go to the beach or use the toys in the garage but let me tell you that if you have plans to do either, you 100% have everything you need for a trip to the beach or to keep kids entertained. We did enjoy the hot tub one evening after a long day of rollercoasters which was fabulous (but read the instructions and allow enough time to warm it up). We will absolutely return and look forward to our next trip, especially knowing we have everything we need at Casa Surfside. Thanks Nick for sharing your wonderful home!

In Carlsbad for a family wedding. Casa Surfside was walking distance from the venue. The house hit just right! Bright, airy rooms were perfect for visiting. Well stocked and organized kitchen was great for fixing meals at home. Convenient distance from the Flower Fields, Carlsbad Village and other points of interest. Easy walking distance to the beach. Excellent value traveling with family. Hope to come back again for just a vacation!*guests with mobility issues may struggle with the stairs to the bedrooms. My 70 mom and aunt both commented how steep they were.

This property is just right. The location, the layout, the amenities, everything was just like it should be. We loved being 5 minutes from the beach and having all the beach equipment provided for us. The outdoor shower was awesome as was the hot tub (although it takes a long time to heat up). The outdoor space (both front and back) was great for outdoor relaxing and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. One thing we really liked was that the house is well insulated and there was no outdoor noise NOR was there noise from the other rooms. The kids could be noisy and we didn't hear them at all. As a result everyone slept peacefully and comfortably (beds and bedding were also first rate). Nick was a responsive host

The place was perfect for our family. The game room for the kids kept them busy when we weren't at the beach. The location was wonderful. Communication with Nick was also prompt and always helpful. Totally recommend!

Plenty of room great set up and tranquil outdoor patio area! The house had everything we needed but was low on wine glasses so I text the host and we had some delivered by 3 PM that day! Great Space for kids of all ages and diverse family needs! Super convenient location as well! We would definitely stay there again!

We had an excellent experience while staying here. It is spotlessly clean and had all the utensils & cooking items needed. We ran out of soap and found a replacement under sink. The jacuzzi was clean and worked perfectly. Beds were very comfortable linens and pillows fresh and cozy. It is across the street from beach. I couldn’t ask for any better communication with the host, Nick. We didn’t have any problems but it was nice when he kindly texted me to check in and ask. We look forward to returning again!

We vacationed to Carlsbad for my daughters 1st birthday and it’s a trip that I will always remember! House was close enough to the beach and in a quiet neighborhood for some walks. About a week before the host offered us an extra day before or day after for 50% off and or early check in. When we emailed promptly back about early check in we didn’t hear back for a couple days. Then to find out that the host had already rented those days before out. My only issue is that we had this reservation for 5 months prior so early check in would’ve been a nice gesture, even paying a little extra. Of course the guests staying there the day before had a late check out so even when we got to the house at the scheduled time the cleaners were still there. I’ve never had a host retract offers like that. Let alone to people that had a reservation for months. All in all it was fine and the stay was great!

Traveling with young kids can feel more like “parenting in a new location” than a true vacation. Our trip to casa surfside was our first family trip with a 21 month old and 4 year old in which we actually felt relaxed and had a wonderful time. The house is even nicer than the pictures and has everything you could possibly need for a family vacation. The owner, Nick, is professional, communicative, and went over the top to make our experience amazing—he even same-day delivered a coffee grinder to the house for us. The location is perfect, with a 5-10 minute walk to the nicest beach in the area and so many local family-friendly locations to eat and play. We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Surfside. The place was beautiful and met all of our needs. It was a short walk to the beach which was our main incentive. We were able to go every day whenever we wanted which was nice. The house was stocked with everything we needed. The kids playroom was very useful as we stayed with 5 young kids. The host was very communicative and ensured our needs were met. I would recommend staying here and would book again in the future, especially with a family.

The home is in an excellent location for a beach vacation. It had all the amenities you need to go the beach, chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards , wagons etc. The garage is converted to a play area for kids with lots of games etc. The house has ceiling fans in the bedrooms which was very important to us because of my wife’s need for the room to be cool to sleep. Our fan didn’t work and after telling the owners about it they said that the remote needed a part that they couldn’t get until our stay was over. My question was why couldn’t they have a new remote installed but I never got a reply. After we checked out they said we had left a stain on a comforter cover and wanted us to pay for it. I felt that was unfair since our fan didn’t work and we basically went sleepless for the whole week. In the end the owners agreed to not make us pay since we had been inconvenienced with the fan issue. Our family had a great time there and I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a beach stay that’s not in the middle of a commercial setting

This home is exactly what we needed for our family vacation. This home is perfect for families, very kid friendly. The communication was excellent, Nick was an amazing host. The home is beautiful and located within walking distance to the beach. The play room was great, and there were plenty of amenities for the kids, the beach, and the entire week. The hot tub was a bonus! I would absolutely recommend this property for anyone wanting to stay in or around Carlsbad.

The kids absolutely loved the garage full of toys. There was also plenty of beach toys to bring along to the beach. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked great. There were plenty of towels and kids utensils which made it easy to have kids in the house. Location was clutch: 8 minutes from legoland, across the road from the beach. Very comfortable, will definitely look into staying here again.

Great place to stay. Everything is super clean and tidy, there is so much space. My daughters were very happy about the garage turned into a play room. All the house is very equiped. Comfty beds, quiet neighborhood and so close to the beach.

Honestly, this was one of the best vacation rentals we've ever stayed in. Location is amazing, house has plenty of space, it's really well-stocked and has lots of extras. Love being able to walk three blocks and spend a day at the beach with the amazing assortment of beach gear provided by the host (beach toys, boogie boards, umbrellas, chairs, wagons, even a surf board), then come back, rinse off in the outdoor shower (which has hot water!), and then relax in the hot tub out back while our kids played in the garage that's been converted into a really cool game room. Then throw some chicken on the grill and eat on the patio under the lights. I mean, you know it was a great stay when literally the only negative thing you can think of was that the bathroom lightbulb started flickering and needed replaced. Just a 100% positive experience, and we really hope it's available for our next trip to SoCal.

What an amazing property! My family and I want to to go to the beaches of Southern California and discovered this GEM. Only a few blocks away from the beach, in a very quiet neighborhood, and the house is beautiful. The house has tons of room for everyone and a beautiful floor plan for family dinners and hanging out in the kitchen or just relaxing out back in the hot tub. The home has a great location for things along the Southern Coast. You can take the tram which is literally a block or so away which will take you up and down the coast from Oceanside to San Diego, which is so fun for families and couples. We would definitely stay here again and have nothing but praise for Nick and Casa Surfside.

In Carlsbad for a family wedding. Casa Surfside was walking distance from the venue. The house hit just right! Bright, airy rooms were perfect for visiting. Well stocked and organized kitchen was great for fixing meals at home. Convenient distance from the Flower Fields, Carlsbad Village and other points of interest. Easy walking distance to the beach. Excellent value traveling with family. Hope to come back again for just a vacation!*guests with mobility issues may struggle with the stairs to the bedrooms. My 70 mom and aunt both commented how steep they were.

A close walk to the beach and convenient to Carlsbad Village along with many coastal areas. One of the best stocked houses we’ve ever rented! The garage/playroom was a big hit for my 18 month old granddaughter. Bedding was very comfy and shower felt great. My son in law said hot tub was amazing. I would definitely rent again when in the area!
