We came to visit the New River Gorge, and this property is conveniently located. Clean and comfortable. The fireplace uses gas with electronic ignition. While we did not use it, there were no instructions and it was not obvious how to get it going. Would also have been nice to have instructions for the thermostat, although I finally figured it out. The internet connectivity is fine for email and searches, but not fast enough for streaming. But most importantly, would we stay there again? Absolutely!

The place is secluded it is very nice ,exactly as pictured, but there is no washer and dryer inside the cabin but there is one up the hill away from the cabin that is free. which is really nice. Also you must watch your dog if you bring one, because they there is a dog or two that runs around they're friendly but I don't know how they are with other dogs because we wouldn't let them get close enough to our dog. The owner is extremely nice we asked about some chairs and he went to Walmart and actually bought them which I thought was very very considerate of him. The chairs for the fire pit arewother dogs. So that wasn't good.

Short couple day. Nice cabin. Only issue was internet. We needed to find places to eat and hiking trails and had to drive down road to get service. Hot tub was nice and surprised to have a fire ring which was nice. Stayed as midway stay from Virginia to home

Exactly as advertised. Hot tub in good working order, cabin nice and cozy. Clean. Good access to various nearby parks and attractions. Cabin 6 has a bit of a spiral steep hill climb on gravel - maybe don't let a new driver tackle this in inclement weather, but my AWD had no issues at all

Great location for visiting the north side of the new River Gorge National Park, Babcock State Park, or Hawks Nest State Park. The cabin and hot tub were clean and as advertised. It was very private.

I just left this cabin today so I wanted to give a thorough review while everything was fresh. First of all, loved the cabin. We had no issues with the booking and was even permitted to check in an hour early. You are secluded yet only 10 minutes away from fast food restaurants, gas stations, Walmart, etc. I would definitely recommend it and would be happy to stay here again. Now for what I wish I knew. It’s pet friendly and my 2 dogs had a terrific time exploring the woods around the property. However, the neighborhood dog clearly makes himself at home and will walk right up through the woods. I’m a dog lover and my dogs are friendly but we don’t know this dog and it put us on edge to just let ours run around. Unfortunately, this wasn’t our only visitor. 3 more dogs came running up to the back of the cabin barking as we tried to enjoy the hot tub. Now this is absolutely no fault of the cabin owner and we had no issues whatsoever; however it would have been nice to be warned so that we could be prepared for our dogs to meet them. So here’s your warning!!The hot tub was very nice and clean. We took full advantage of it; however, there must be a timer set on the heat because ours shut off at 84 degrees and we didn’t know until we were going in and that’s way too cold haha. But we turned up the heat and it was fine before bed. I enjoyed my stay. You will too!!!

Quiet, relaxing and extremely comfortable. The cabin had all the amenities of home including coffee, dishwasher, and TV. The hot tub was awesome and we had a great time!

Great location close to New River Gorge NP and conveniences. Comfy beds, good shower and nice furniture in the living room. We enjoyed making our meals in the kitchen and over the campfire. The hot tub was great and being able to do laundry was an added bonus. (Be prepared for some bugs because it is a cabin in the woods.) We'd stay here again.

Very very nice- appreciate hot tub ready for every day- toilet paper and paper towel soap etc already available was real nice- consider a box of Kleenex would be a nice touch but that is not a complaint- directions on the fireplace would be nice unless it’s not meant to be used- thanks for being a very nice part of our beautiful trip

This was a cozy place, very secluded. Location close to lots of outdoor activities. Had most everything we needed and hot tub was nice. Kitchen had some cleanliness issues such as grease and food on stove and table and found a few dishes in cabinets that had food on them. The propane was empty on grill. We did find a wasp next and owner was very prompt at sending someone out so that was very mice. Overall a good experience and is as listed. Thanks!

We were suprised how secluded this cabin felt while still being close to everything you want to see and do at New River. Check in was super easy and the cabin has everything you need to cook meals, relax, and sleep. The beds are comfortable and the hot tub was clean. We did have a mouse visit our kitchen in the night, but given you are surrounded by nature, that is not suprising, just keep your fruit in the fridge.

The cabin was clean, kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms were very tidy. Super close to New River Gorge. There were a few things that could have been improved on. There were not any blinds in the windows, most windows had curtains, so we used them and used a bath towel on the kitchen window & taped some paper on the window on the front door because the blind was broken. There were not any handles to open the kitchen cabinet doors and drawers, you had to use your fingertips and grab the edges. Maybe put a few knobs on the cabinets and drawers. As noted, the cabin was nicely cleaned, the girl was just finishing up when we arrived and we figured the strong perfume smell was because she was just done, but the scent was so strong the whole 2 days we were there. One of the bedspreads was soaking wet from having been sprayed so much, it wasn't even dry by bedtime. We couldn't use that bedspread the 1st night. No comment on my communication with property mgr. because it was not necessary before or during our stay. My above comments are not complaints, just honest feedback on our perspective as guests regarding privacy, difficulty opening drawers & strong scented sprays. I hope it's useful. Cabin was very nice and quiet. Hot tub was perfect. One issue is the Wi-Fi. He did say it was slow and unreliable however it’s not slow or unreliable it flat out does not work. We are tech savvy so we tried everything we could but it just wouldn’t connect at all. A small issue. Luckily our cell service worked and the phone could make calls. There was no land line. Also the fireplace was electric not wood. But overall a good place for the price. We probably won’t return as we like to build a fire and the Wi-Fi issue but we still liked it.

This was a great little cabin close to everything you want to experience in the Gorge. Paul was an outstanding host. He stayed in touch with us with an issue that came up with the Wi-Fi. His professionalism and hands on approach makes him a top notch host… we will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our stay here! House was clean and cozy and easily accessible to all the fun activities in town! The beds weren’t great, but the couch was super comfy! The only thing I would maybe add is a full length mirror in the bathroom or one of the bedrooms for us ladies to check our outfits…haha. Otherwise, such a cute little place that was perfect for our anniversary trip!

Thank you so much for the amazing cabin !!!! It was perfect for my husband and i ! Location was great and very private! The only semi complaint is I wish we had brought DVDs bc the WiFi wouldn’t work …. But the hot tub was perfect! Appreciated that cabin ! We will be back for sure

The cabin had a classic “ cabin in the woods “ feel. The interior was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The hot tub was appreciated.The location was perfect for our New River Gorge experience. The host was welcoming and informative. It was a wonderful experience!

Good property. We had cabin 6 and the directions were harder to find at dark. Would have been nice to reference the name of the garage to turn in from the road and then to have the road to cabin 6 marked easier to find at dark. Overall we loved the cabin and had a nice stay.

Wife and I stayed here for 2 nights as a home base for some meetings in Charleston and would definitely stay again. Pictures are up to date and the property is as it looks. Check in instructions were perfect although I wouldn’t recommend trying to find it late at night. Having said that …. Had we stopped in the parking lot and really read the instructions we would have been better off. The uphill drive way on the left is just a little hidden. Hot tub was super clean and a nice added touch. Plenty of cookware as well.

The cabin was quite inviting and had everything we needed. We loved how peaceful our surroundings were but also how easy it was to get to our other activities. We went whitewater rafting, toured the New River Gorge Bridge area, went to the Beckley Coal mine and even visited Thurmond. Thanks for the restaurant recommendations Paul. I must mention how nice the bedsheets were.

This was a great little cabin close to everything you want to experience in the Gorge. Paul was an outstanding host. He stayed in touch with us with an issue that came up with the Wi-Fi. His professionalism and hands on approach makes him a top notch host… we will definitely be back.

I just left this cabin today so I wanted to give a thorough review while everything was fresh. First of all, loved the cabin. We had no issues with the booking and was even permitted to check in an hour early. You are secluded yet only 10 minutes away from fast food restaurants, gas stations, Walmart, etc. I would definitely recommend it and would be happy to stay here again. Now for what I wish I knew. It’s pet friendly and my 2 dogs had a terrific time exploring the woods around the property. However, the neighborhood dog clearly makes himself at home and will walk right up through the woods. I’m a dog lover and my dogs are friendly but we don’t know this dog and it put us on edge to just let ours run around. Unfortunately, this wasn’t our only visitor. 3 more dogs came running up to the back of the cabin barking as we tried to enjoy the hot tub. Now this is absolutely no fault of the cabin owner and we had no issues whatsoever; however it would have been nice to be warned so that we could be prepared for our dogs to meet them. So here’s your warning!!The hot tub was very nice and clean. We took full advantage of it; however, there must be a timer set on the heat because ours shut off at 84 degrees and we didn’t know until we were going in and that’s way too cold haha. But we turned up the heat and it was fine before bed. I enjoyed my stay. You will too!!!

Nice secluded cabin in the woods but close the New River Gorge National Park. Cabin is well kept and has pretty much everything you would need. Cabin is pet friendly and has a bit on a grassy area for them. Owners are great host and respond to messages quickly.

It was a nice little neat, clean and cozy cabin in the woods. It has all the necessities you need. Keep in mind if you do anything on the weekend, most the atrractions near close at 6pm. The host is quick to respond and very nice.

The cabin had a classic “ cabin in the woods “ feel. The interior was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The hot tub was appreciated.The location was perfect for our New River Gorge experience. The host was welcoming and informative. It was a wonderful experience!

Good property. We had cabin 6 and the directions were harder to find at dark. Would have been nice to reference the name of the garage to turn in from the road and then to have the road to cabin 6 marked easier to find at dark. Overall we loved the cabin and had a nice stay.

We loved Cabin 6, tucked back in the trees for some quiet and privacy. It's in a great location, quick drive into town and popular hikes. It had all the necessary amenities, just what we needed to catch up with family and get away for the weekend.

Very clean and the location was perfect for us as we were there to visit the National Park. We loved the extra bonus of the hot tub. Everything we needed was in the kitchen.

Great location for visiting the north side of the new River Gorge National Park, Babcock State Park, or Hawks Nest State Park. The cabin and hot tub were clean and as advertised. It was very private.

This place was perfectly located, where you felt properly isolated but within reach of everything. 10 minutes from the Bridge, 20 minutes from Summersville Lake and Hawks Nest and 35 to Grandview. Cabin was clean and well equipped and the hot tub was perfect at night. Hope to be back!

Location of Paul's cabin was perfect. It was close to pretry much everything. There is a grocery store about 5 minuted away which was convenient. We stayed in cabin 6 which I liked over the others because it was the most secluded. The cabin it's self had all we needed. If we travel to the area again i would most definitely book a cabin with Paul.

The cabin was in a great location for access to the New River Gorge NP. Sits far enough back from road that noise wasn't much of an issue.

The location was perfect, close to numerous attractions and delicious food. A shout out to Secret Sandwich Society, Char and Pies and Pints. Had a couple problems upon arrival but Michael was attentive and went out of his way to try to help. The cabin had about everything you need to stay comfortable. People were welcoming everywhere we went and the area is beautiful.

We always have a great stay. The cabin is very cosey and the location is close to a lot of activities. We will stay here again next time we are traveling thru West Virginia.
