Fun & Games Near Sea World, Six Flags, Lackland, and Downtown

This was a nice place for our visiting family to stay. The house had ample space and the kids had a great time playing pool and foosball.

Everything was great. There's plenty of stores nearby great location. The kids and adults loved the Foosball table and pool table they were a hit we would totally stay there again

I chose this home because it’s in the loop, close to base, had basic entertainment and had enough space to not feel crowded. I was pleased at a glance, but that quickly fell short as our stay progressed. Bring house shoes or wear black socks! The floors look pretty clean, but they are not! All the bottoms of our socks were literally black before bedtime. One of my sons refused to sleep in a bed before the sheets were laundered because of stains and hair on them. No disinfecting wipes or cleaners to wipe down sticky counters or tabletops. The kitchen faucet leaks, master bath sink fills and drains slow when in use. Outlets around the home do not work so choose wisely where you plug in your devices needing charged. There are tvs in all the bedrooms, but not all of them work either. The deck leaves much to be desired as well. The sliding glass door has a plank of wood laying in the track to “lock” the door because there is no lock! Top notch security! The “grill” outside could’ve been a nice touch if the bag of charcoal wasn’t sitting in the dirt and rain in the yard and the grill brush laying in mud. Luckily, it rained a lot and we didn’t spend time outside. Once our grad was able to join, they tried shooting some pool until balls were falling out of un-stapled pockets. I was disappointed in my choice of homes and convinced that the price you pay for “cleaning services”should be REFUNDED because YOU are the cleaning crew with a list of chores framed nicely hanging on the wall!!

This home is so spacious & included everything you may need!! Every room was huge & the Foosball & Pool table were definitely a hit! We all enjoyed this house!!!

First, the pictures that are listed online are clearly from a period when the house was first purchased verses recent pictures (Reason: pictures on the listing show no visible cracks in the wall. However, when you step into the house, there are visible cracks on every wall). There was a crack so big on the wall when you enter the kitchen that my pinky finger fit in with no problem. Clear evidence of foundation shifting was the floors were slanting to the side. The floors were not clean. Literally our white socks were black from walking on the floors. We physically had to clean the tables and bench. Countertops had to be clean. The oven was a mess, I could not trust using it. The doorknobs were falling off doors as though no one was assembling them properly. The water in the main bathroom upstairs ran slowly to where you are standing in a puddle of water. Upstairs railing was dangerously loose. Most of the doors did not shut all the way. Kitchen patio door had no blinds, so we were exposed to anybody and everybody to see. One of pool table sticks was damaged to where my child got cut. WFI/Internet did not work as advertised, so I had to reach out to host for them to contact cable company to have restored. Hosts did not have air conditioning turned down low enough to cool the house knowing there was a heat advisory that day. So, it took forever to cool the house down. Also, the blinds look like no one has cleaned them from the day they were installed. The overall

Foosball table needs all bolts tightened ( it cannot be played in current condition ).Host needs to provide more towels ( only provided 1 hand towel in each of the 2 upstairs bathrooms ). Toilet paper roll holder in master bedroom need to be tightened ( falls apart if touched ) plus hand towel rack in other bath needs to be tightened. Drain cap needed in bathtub.Light bulb in Refrigerator is needed, and a few bulbs need to be replaced in almost all rooms. 1st floor bath sink top is loose. Major Safety Issue: 2 supports at the top of the banister are broken. Upstairs shower glass appears to need repair ( has 2 pieces of green tape on outer corner ).Cleanliness Mark: FAIR --The rug under the pool table needs to be vacuumed ( Dead bugs are on in the middle of the rug under the pool table !! ). Seat cushions of the Livingroom sofa need to be pulled off and cleaned ( sofa has spots and mild stains ).the yellow throw pillows need to be cleaned or replacedRest of house was clean.Lastly, the home has foundation issues ( house is sinking ). Interior doors need to be pulled off hinges and trimmed so they can be shut. Front door deadbolt needs metal bracket. Large Cracks in the walls need to be filled ( bugs can enter through these cracks ).

The photos don't do this amazing property justice! The host was very professional, responsive, and helpful, and took great care of us. We love the game room and all of the amenities offered.

This place had lots of room for 8 of us that came to my son's Air Force Graduation. It's 15 minutes from the base and easy to get to get in and out. The big screen TV as well as Pool Table and Foosball table was awesome. The owner was responsive and process was easy. The negative would be the neighborhood feels sketchy and the outside of the place is not kept up very well. The house has a huge structure crack both outside and inside but that honestly didn't bother me. Overall it was a good experience.

The AC is great! Washer/dryer work fine! And...Fridge was dirty. Ice maker doesn’t work. Keureg machine hadn’t been emptied/cleaned. Shower curtain was dirty. Hand soap isn't provided at all sinks. Sliding door wasn’t locked. The only thing to hold it closed is a plank of wood, not in place when we arrived. Two windows were unlocked. No covering for the sliding glass door that opens to the backyard adjoining the gas station. Drain flies in the master bathroom and tiny bugs in the kitchen. Towels + sheets (all white) were thin; many of them stained. Bunk bed mattress is very thin. All mattresses covered in plastic. Some pillows and mattresses are very stained/dirty. Master toilet runs after a flush if the handle isn't jiggled. Two toilet seats aren’t tightly fitted. Shower head in the master bath is set to “pins and needles.” Bath faucet handles are odd—left is cold/right is hot/straight up is off. Dust pan is useless without the rubber edge. Dirty Swiffer pad was left on the sweeper. The neighbor’s car alarm went off with every passing car and sometimes “just because.” It went off continuously during a nighttime thunderstorm. Even though they were in states of disrepair, the pool table, foosball table, tic tac toe, checkers, etc. were big hits and greatly appreciated. Seating in the game room would make it a better experience. Overall, knowing the little idiosyncrasies of this property so we could be prepared, given its location, we would stay here again.

Our goal for this trip was to see our daughter graduate BMT. Grant is awesome, he stayed in contact before and during our stay. Check-in was easy. Pool table and foosball table were big hits! The one downside to this stay was the cleanliness and items being broken. Several handles were broken on the kitchen cabinets, and kitchen trash can lid was broken. Everything was still usable. Could tell that the floors were not cleaned, could see footprints from previous renters, fridge wasn’t clean, several light bulbs were out in each bathroom. Shower curtain in upstairs hall bathroom needs to be replaced asap as it had mold on it. We could also tell that the comforters weren’t cleaned. There were only 2 sets of towels in each bathroom for 7 guests. We ended up buying more towels and then found where the extra towels were kept. We ended up bringing our towels home. Not a big deal. I did let Grant know about the issues and he was very responsive. My suggestion for Grant would be to hire a better cleaning crew and maintenance team (to fix broken handles, and replace the back stairs). They are really rotted and could be a liability. They are definitely cutting corners and I hope Grant can get that fixed. I would stay here again if the items mentioned were taken care of. Like I said, Grant was very responsive and I would hate to see bad cleaners be the cause of any bad future reviews.

The best reception was in the living room, there were multiple cracks throughout the home, the floors were not level, doors were sticking and the master bathroom had a moldy smell. I assume it was okay for a couple days stay, but I wouldn't have wanted to have an extended stay here. With some updates and better internet, this would be a perfect vacation rental.

I stayed here with three other friends while we were in town for the NCAA tournament. We all needed to work while we were there so it was a perfect setup. Used all 4 bedrooms. Very spacious and very clean. Location was great. Only concern was the cracks in the walls, but everything worked great.

I would not reccomend My family and I actually left early. Very loud neighborhood with car alarms going off all night.NOT CLEAN Master bathroom bathtub didn’t work. None of the doors shut or lock.No reply back from host

The property is about 15 minutes from the base in moderate traffic, which really helped us make good use of our limited time! The property is also super spacious when compared to other options, and it was nice to not be on top of each other all the time.While there were some minor issues with the property while we were there, Grant was consistently responsive and helpful.

Coffee was provided and extra towels in the laundry room. I honestly hate to say anything negative and what negative experiences we had were made up for by the host. Home is was not as clean as I expected and could be a bit noisy at night compared to our little coastal town in Ga.. AGAIN, the host was wonderful and apologetic and I was able to overlook what cleaning person lacked.

The house was great but all the beds need to be replaced. They were not sturdy underneath and one of the beds did not have a mattress just a board and a thick blanket over it. Overall nobody seemed to be satisfied with the amount we paid due to the sleeping conditions.

Grant was great to deal with, very easy to communicate with. Enjoyed our stay for the marching state championships this week.

Comfortable stay, great location, and host was kind and responsive. Only thing is there are some home improvements that could be made that would make the stay a 5 star but overall…we enjoyed it and would definitely come back!

We were looking for a place to stay for my son’s graduation from BMT and this place was perfect! It’s 7 1/2 miles from the Valley Hi gate at Lackland and easy to get to which is good for the early morning activities for graduation. It was spacious, clean, set up to entertain, in a nice neighborhood, and we had awesome communication with the owner. It was the most perfect place to let my son adjust to the real world again and for our family to spend time together. The owner even allowed us to check in early so the food we brought didn’t have to sit in coolers in the hot weather. We would definitely stay here again. So if you are looking for a place for your family for BMT Graduation, look no further!! You can rent without hesitation!

Spring break for the river walk and sea world. Property is close to sea world and easy to get to the interstate to go anywhere in town you desire. Would stay again.

Property was perfect for our family. Very close to SeaWorld. Not far from the riverwalk or caverns. It was a great place to relax after a busy day. We had plenty of space and everyone enjoyed the game room. Would stay here again.

The House was at a perfect location close to SeaWorld and restaurants. The only negative things I have is the house can host a large family but the kitchen doesn't have many dishes or pots to use nor pillowcases and towels. cue sticks needs replacing in order to use the pool table.Beautiful house, it's a shame that it has large cracks on walls and master room door doesn't close the master bath does have a slight cigarette odor all things are very minor. We would definitely stay there again.
