This midtown gem was centrally located off Seward and Ocean. Great walkable street, dog friendly area.Ample rooms for families. Mature fruit trees in the backyard with faux grass for doggies.Adirondak chairs and fire pit in the front yard is so charming and a nice beachy touch.Hosts were great with communications. Very easy check in and check out process.

This home was perfect for my husband, me, and our dogs. It is so bright and cheerful. The rooms were good sized.The home was equipped with everything we needed for our stay.The enclosed back yard was perfect for my dogs to soak up the California sunshine(and that's what they did)! The host was very responsive to our questions and helpful with suggesting local activities.We would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Ventura

The house was perfect for our long weekend stay for our family! The house and backyard were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again. The kitchen had all the things we needed to prepare simple meals. Its close by everything we needed, restaurants, shopping and grocery stores are close by. we needed immediate lodging with our dogs near Oxnard. The property was as advertised. our dogs were safe and secure. The property was very quiet. The house and yard were very clean. There were too many air fresheners, we had to unplug them and put them outside. I would stay here again if needed.

We stayed here for the marathon and it was the perfect home base. Very close to the beaches and state parks as well as downtown Ventura and grocery stores. The private backyard was a great place to relax post-marathon!

The house was ok except that the shower head had to be repaired. The back yard and patio were worn and dirty. The canopy was tattered and only about 1/3 of the outside lights worked. Photos on the outside of the listing must be old.

I'm seeing a doctor today for the Ringworm which started one last Dec. 6th with itchinging. By Sunday the itching was unbearable and I had Red rings (ringworm) in my hair and down to my ankles in random areas. Additionally, the Kitchen was equipped with a random collection eating and cooking ware. Stove and refrigerator were updated and good. Now I am homebound because ringworm is so contagious. Never had an experience like this with VRBO which I have used over the past 6 years.

We were down in Ventura for a long weekend and this was the perfect place to stay. There were five adults total including one wheelchair user and Courtney was great about communicating with me beforehand on where we could plug in my brother's wheelchair to charge outside every night, so I really appreciated that! There were a few small cleanliness issues including tufts of pet hair around and some dirty dishes in the drawers/cupboards. There is no AC so it can get fairly warm during the day, but there's plenty of windows to open to get a crossbreeze during cooler parts of the day and there were fans in the bedrooms which I appreciated and always look for in homes. The neighborhood was totally walkable and we even walked to Starbucks one morning which is a 10-minute walk. There's grocery stores and really anything you could need nearby. The outdoor space at this home is wonderful. We were out visiting with family much of the time so we didn't get to utilize it as much as I would've hoped, but it's just lovely. If you need a comfortable space to stay in Ventura, I would highly recommend Courtney's place. Thanks again.

I was in town for several weeks to spend time with an ill relative who lives very close by. It was easy to get to see my family and to walk to Von's (since I didn't have a car), and the house was clean and comfortable. Courtney was quick to respond to any questions, and I expect to stay there again in the upcoming months.

The house and neighborhood are very nice. the house could use a few more lights. Some of the pots were not adequately cleaned. and I never did get the TV's to work. In spite of the above, I would rent the house again because of the backyard, the neighborhood, in town location, and cleanliness.

It was a good experience. Very clean and tidy. Loved the easy tv access. Wish it were a little more updated but thats just a preference. I have 4 kids and all of them wanted plugs to charge their electronics, that was the only thing that i would have liked to have more of or usb stations. Oh and one bathroom was a challenge for us as well. I suppose we got spoiled with multi-bathrooms lol. We had a real good time and felt very safe at the home. There is a grocery store near by which was very convenient and of course the beach was a huge plus. Thank you for lending us a place to stay.

This house was perfect for our stay in Ventura, conveniently located, and the hosts have been very responsive (even when I accidentally dialed them in the middle of the night, they responded well and graciously). It isn’t luxurious or newer, it's familiar, like a house I’ve lived in, with quirks and delights. There are many thoughtful touches, a wonderful private yard, in a good neighborhood, well-suited to families and visitors with dogs.

During out stay, I learned that this place was home to our host and their family prior to sharing it with visitors; a sweet sentiment. The home offered charm and comfort; qualities I was looking too when taking time to relax from the day-to-day. There was plenty of space for my party of 4 and our cat. Proximity was great too. The listing was near the wedding venue (the reason for our visit) and close enough to shops and cafes. I look forward to returning and exploring the area more.

This property was the perfect choice for our girlfriend weekend. This charming mid-century home was in a prime location. It was in a quiet neighborhood close to both downtown and the beach. I especially loved sitting in the backyard destressing by listening to silence and the occasional child laughing and playing. I was able to totally unplug. Our host, Coutney, was outstanding. From the moment I booked the reservation to the variety of questions about things to do and restaurant recommendations she was quick to reply. I had a couple of questions about the house, like finding the coffee, which is located in the freezer, and she cheerfully answered. It would have helped if I fully read her welcome note where she mentioned where the coffee was. I could tell by her responses that she really cared that we had a good time. She even left me a birthday card, since I had told her it was my birthday weekend. That was very special. Thank you Courtney for a wonderful experience.

Property owners were very responsive. The neighborhood was quite. It was a great property to have our two dogs. There was plenty of room for them to run around in the backyard.

This midtown gem was centrally located off Seward and Ocean. Great walkable street, dog friendly area.Ample rooms for families. Mature fruit trees in the backyard with faux grass for doggies.Adirondak chairs and fire pit in the front yard is so charming and a nice beachy touch.Hosts were great with communications. Very easy check in and check out process.

I was in town for several weeks to spend time with an ill relative who lives very close by. It was easy to get to see my family and to walk to Von's (since I didn't have a car), and the house was clean and comfortable. Courtney was quick to respond to any questions, and I expect to stay there again in the upcoming months.

Layout and neighborhood accurate as noted on VRBO. Walkable community with unique homes and gardens. We were all adults and did not find beach access except for driving. Hosts extremely responsive and kind.

We stayed here for the marathon and it was the perfect home base. Very close to the beaches and state parks as well as downtown Ventura and grocery stores. The private backyard was a great place to relax post-marathon!

Good location. You can get anywhere quickly. 6 of us; Family and mother in law. Spacious. Oh and a dog. It was mid June. Comfortable.

This house was perfect for our family and 2 dogs. We especially loved the darling backyard and large windows looking out to it. It is a close drive to the beach and stores. Recommend.

During out stay, I learned that this place was home to our host and their family prior to sharing it with visitors; a sweet sentiment. The home offered charm and comfort; qualities I was looking too when taking time to relax from the day-to-day. There was plenty of space for my party of 4 and our cat. Proximity was great too. The listing was near the wedding venue (the reason for our visit) and close enough to shops and cafes. I look forward to returning and exploring the area more.
