Beautiful house, perfect location - we are a group of women in our early 60’s who stayed 3 nights at this wonderful house.The only negative we gave is that the BBQ was filthy - rodent poo and dirt on the hot plate. Downstairs toilet had not been flushed properly and smudge marks in the bowl.

This property was very nice and spacious for a large family. The appliances are of good quality and all work well.Beautiful view of the beach and direct access to it.The only minor whinge I had was that it did not have a hair dryer but besides that highly recommended.

The location of this house was just perfect, with a large lawn and garden between the house and the beach. It was the perfect spot for the kids to play and adults to relax. The house was well appointed with plenty of cooking utensils / crockery and the two kitchens were really handy. The rest of the house was fine, it was comfortable but needs some updates. The bathrooms are very tired. There were broken lamps in the bedrooms and a lack of powerpoints. There was not enough toilet paper / washing machine tablets provided to get through a 5 day stay (this is not a cheap house, this should have been included). The house is not safe for toddlers, there is no way to close off the internal stairs, and also a set of stairs heading down from the balcony. The roller blind pulls were not secured to the wall and were loose, which is a hazard for little kids. Overall we enjoyed our stay, however I would stay in a different house in the same location next time. The real trouble started after we had left. While vacuuming the house before leaving, the vacuum broke. We alerted the property manager after checking out. Our significant security deposit was held while they liaised with the owner about the vacuum. Eventually the majority of our deposit was refunded, but they hung on to some until the owner had determined whether the vacuum would be repaired under warranty. The implication of this was that we had somehow misused the vacuum while cleaning the house. Four weeks later the owner finally refunded the remainder of our deposit, as they were able to have the vacuum repaired at no cost. This is not an acceptable way to treat guests, it's been a waste of our time and a stress we did not need returning from holidays. As a result we cannot recommend this house as a place to enjoy a relaxing holiday.

Clean, comfortable and convenient. The property was perfect in all areas and made our stay in Port Stephens very enjoyable. The location, near the Anchorage resort and marina, was excellent as was the access to the beach and wonderful gardens on the waterfront.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay however on arrival we could not get in as the security door was locked so we had to wait for someone to come and open it.I had also requested that the two single beds be made up into one bed but this was not done and I found a pair of pants behind a door from I am assuming the last guests so it obviously was not vacuummed properly.Overall though we had a fantastic time.

Five of us sisters, and our husbands spent a glorious seven days at this little bit of paradise. The house was perfect for us. The bedrooms were all spacious and the linens were lovely. Checking in was very easy and we settled in on the first day with a visit to the beach just a short distance in front of the house. We spent every day on that private little beach and the dolphins swam by every afternoon to fill us with delight. The views are fabulous the shopping Centre is close by and it’s a very short drive to Nelson Bay for some retail therapy . We all agreed. This was the most beautiful holiday we have had for a long time. Thank you stays we will definitely be rebooking.

Unfortunately an accident intervened and we were generously offered the opportunity to move the stay which we did to late March.The accident occurred within the non cancellation window. The home would have comfortably accommodated eleven people(we only had eight on this visit).Location is fantastic for both adults and kids with no roads between the house and water. Also only a short walk to a playground or the restaurant bar and coffee shop at the Anchorage.It is a quiet at night except for some wildlife.Dolphins were visible from the verandah every day we were there.The home was very comfortable.

Reviewer Comments: This is a memorable stay with a group of friends wanting to just chill by the beach and play board games. The house is big with plenty of room for 9 adults. Kitchen is well equipped with dinnerware, cutleries and basic amenities and we could cook breakfast and use the BBQ with no problem. Some kitchen appliances including the kitchen exhaust and microwave can be slightly tricky to find the right button but having those options were good. Owner provided some coffee pods and a nespresso machine with milk frother which was good. Bed and linen were good and central air conditioning was a plus. There was also a bottle of wine given when check-in, which was a nice touch. However, there are some basic amenities that could be better - no shampoo or bath gel were provided in the bathroom apart from bar soap and no hair dryer which were not clearly indicated in the description. There was a mention of cleaning 'starter kit' which indicated bin liners, but wish they would have provided more, considering it's a place for a large group as both bins quickly filled up by day 1 after the BBQ. The location of this house was just perfect, with a large lawn and garden between the house and the beach. It was the perfect spot for the kids to play and adults to relax. The house was well appointed with plenty of cooking utensils / crockery and the two kitchens were really handy. The rest of the house was fine, it was comfortable but needs some updates. The bathrooms are very tired. There were broken lamps in the bedrooms and a lack of powerpoints. There was not enough toilet paper / washing machine tablets provided to get through a 5 day stay (this is not a cheap house, this should have been included). The house is not safe for toddlers, there is no way to close off the internal stairs, and also a set of stairs heading down from the balcony. The roller blind pulls were not secured to the wall and were loose, which is a hazard for little kids. Overall we enjoyed our stay, however I would stay in a different house in the same location next time. The real trouble started after we had left. While vacuuming the house before leaving, the vacuum broke. We alerted the property manager after checking out. Our significant security deposit was held while they liaised with the owner about the vacuum. Eventually the majority of our deposit was refunded, but they hung on to some until the owner had determined whether the vacuum would be repaired under warranty. The implication of this was that we had somehow misused the vacuum while cleaning the house. Four weeks later the owner finally refunded the remainder of our deposit, as they were able to have the vacuum repaired at no cost. This is not an acceptable way to treat guests, it's been a waste of our time and a stress we did not need returning from holidays. As a result we cannot recommend this house as a place to enjoy a relaxing holiday.

Five of us sisters, and our husbands spent a glorious seven days at this little bit of paradise. The house was perfect for us. The bedrooms were all spacious and the linens were lovely. Checking in was very easy and we settled in on the first day with a visit to the beach just a short distance in front of the house. We spent every day on that private little beach and the dolphins swam by every afternoon to fill us with delight. The views are fabulous the shopping Centre is close by and it’s a very short drive to Nelson Bay for some retail therapy . We all agreed. This was the most beautiful holiday we have had for a long time. Thank you stays we will definitely be rebooking.

Clean, comfortable and convenient. The property was perfect in all areas and made our stay in Port Stephens very enjoyable. The location, near the Anchorage resort and marina, was excellent as was the access to the beach and wonderful gardens on the waterfront.

Beautiful house, perfect location - we are a group of women in our early 60’s who stayed 3 nights at this wonderful house.The only negative we gave is that the BBQ was filthy - rodent poo and dirt on the hot plate. Downstairs toilet had not been flushed properly and smudge marks in the bowl.

Reviewer Comments: This is a memorable stay with a group of friends wanting to just chill by the beach and play board games. The house is big with plenty of room for 9 adults. Kitchen is well equipped with dinnerware, cutleries and basic amenities and we could cook breakfast and use the BBQ with no problem. Some kitchen appliances including the kitchen exhaust and microwave can be slightly tricky to find the right button but having those options were good. Owner provided some coffee pods and a nespresso machine with milk frother which was good. Bed and linen were good and central air conditioning was a plus. There was also a bottle of wine given when check-in, which was a nice touch. However, there are some basic amenities that could be better - no shampoo or bath gel were provided in the bathroom apart from bar soap and no hair dryer which were not clearly indicated in the description. There was a mention of cleaning 'starter kit' which indicated bin liners, but wish they would have provided more, considering it's a place for a large group as both bins quickly filled up by day 1 after the BBQ. Key lock instructions weren't given on time but the call line was helpful and responded quickly. This property was very nice and spacious for a large family. The appliances are of good quality and all work well.Beautiful view of the beach and direct access to it.The only minor whinge I had was that it did not have a hair dryer but besides that highly recommended.

The location of this house was just perfect, with a large lawn and garden between the house and the beach. It was the perfect spot for the kids to play and adults to relax. The house was well appointed with plenty of cooking utensils / crockery and the two kitchens were really handy. The rest of the house was fine, it was comfortable but needs some updates. The bathrooms are very tired. There were broken lamps in the bedrooms and a lack of powerpoints. There was not enough toilet paper / washing machine tablets provided to get through a 5 day stay (this is not a cheap house, this should have been included). The house is not safe for toddlers, there is no way to close off the internal stairs, and also a set of stairs heading down from the balcony. The roller blind pulls were not secured to the wall and were loose, which is a hazard for little kids. Overall we enjoyed our stay, however I would stay in a different house in the same location next time. The real trouble started after we had left. While vacuuming the house before leaving, the vacuum broke. We alerted the property manager after checking out. Our significant security deposit was held while they liaised with the owner about the vacuum. Eventually the majority of our deposit was refunded, but they hung on to some until the owner had determined whether the vacuum would be repaired under warranty. The implication of this was that we had somehow misused the vacuum while cleaning the house. Four weeks later the owner finally refunded the remainder of our deposit, as they were able to have the vacuum repaired at no cost. This is not an acceptable way to treat guests, it's been a waste of our time and a stress we did not need returning from holidays. As a result we cannot recommend this house as a place to enjoy a relaxing holiday.

The house was perfect for this with the various living annd break out areas, kids’ toys games and books and access to the beach where when using the kayaks we were surrounded several times by curious gentle dolphins. The kitchens are well appointed and the barbecue very useful. Good luck working out how to use the microwave. We gave up even using the instructions! We were able to walk to the Anchorage one night for a fabulous dinner and the playground a few metres away came in very handy. The beds are super comfortable and the outdoor area perfect for all our meals at this time of the year. We would definitely return.
